  Hello world

  I have a blackberry curve 8900 which I love, but which I think may have violated my mind this time!

  When I go into my contacts to search for a contact it just continues to "Add contact" - when I type the name of the contact in the contact 'find' option then decides to add a new place!

  It will allow me to search my contacts to SIM card, but, being not the most skilled of the people, my contacts are not all on my SIM card.

  If I go through the search icon on my desktop and search through contacts he will allow me to find them there, but I do not understand why my little contact has changed and how to reverse this trend?

  The contacts are there when I go to the SMS of someone, but if I try to send a message via MMS (IE a picture), the same problem of contacts search is performed.

  I'm not the most technologically minded people, but I really like this phone and I don't know what I did wrong!

  Open your address book, then press Menu > filters.

  Now uncheck all filters and save.

  Return to your address book.

  When you say that you do not find the "e-mail account" icon do you mean the installation wizard?

  First check, open the main menu, press the menu key and select just check "Display all icons" if she is not there. Otherwise, go to your BlackBerry browser and go to http://mobile.blackberry.com and select "Visit BlackBerry App World" here to try to make a download of the app, it should redirect you to the application on the phone. It can perform an update of BlackBerry World with your BlackBerry ID

• BlackBerry Smartphones where can I find the Media Manager for my office?

  OK I just looked at my records that I received with my BB Storm the other day.  It's the 9530.  There is only the VCast & BB media sync, but the button for Media Manager does not work... I watched the disc and there no Media Manager... now what?  I am running Windows Vista Premium Home OS, and I have the Desktop Manager 4.7 version.  Where the hell is the Media Manager and since I can't find it, y at - it a downloadable version of it somewhere on the net?  Please HELP I am ready to pull my hair!

  I had to talk to the reps to Blackberry and apparently some discs did NOT have the media for a reason Manager any.  The option was left aside.

  After much frustration, I finally got my answer.

  Format your card of media phones first, it on your phone.  Once done you will have a folder on your computer, when the phone is plugged into the computer, which said device BLACKBERRY and BLACKBERRY Media Card.  You can simply drag and drop into specified folders (for me it was the videos).

  If you already have a converter media it is the perfect way to do it and the video should be MP4 (at least that's all so far, I have converted)

  For the Media Manager, go here: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/ but make sure you that you have uninstalled the Manager of the desktop of your computer first, and then re - install using the download from the link above.  I did it and it works fine now.

  FYI - the Roxio is slower than the second coming during the conversion.  First use the reformat your phone option, and then use roxio if you do not have a Media Converter.  There are other media there converters that are much faster.  I have one for my Zune that allows to convert a movie in about 20 minutes or more and then it's in the right format for the phone.

  I received text messages which includes pictures on my bb curve 9360 and cannot find a way to copy the pictures of text messages on my pc. Another possibility, if I could only learn how to transfer these pictures in text messages to photos of sections of camera on the bb. When I connect the bb to the computer and use the sw Office bb I see the pictures in the media section of picture on the pc but not the pictures in text messages.

  Can someone help me as I scanned the web in hopes of a method but can't find it. Thank you in anticipation of an answer.

  The crucial thing that I neglected was to save the images - after doing this, I was able to use both the sw Office of BB to see the images and the alternative method to view the images via the pc explore where bb appears as another drive. This basic information has been described probably somewhere but I can't find it.

  I recently switched from a Treo 755 p for Blackberry Tour 9630 when the Treo crashed. I was unable to transfer contacts, etc. of my Treo since he died, however, I synced my turn with BB Desktop Manager and got my Outlook comes into contact with back. My old memo categories Treo also got transferred even if I don't know how, since they are not in Outlook. When I try to add a new note that they do not appear in the list even if I clicked on save. I can add categories, but still cannot create the (save new memos). I can create new tasks. No idea why the new memos will not save?

  Open your Memo on the BlackBerry App.

  Press the Menu key > filters and uncheck those which may be checked.

  Now you see the ones you saved and did not appear in the list?

  Recently, when I add a new contact the 9700 creates several entries. When I delete these multiple inputs, then it leaves about 10 spaces. If I let multiple entries for the same person, the next person that I add only then indicates once

  Try a simple reboot and see if the empty entries remain.

  With the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

• BlackBerry smartphones I can't find BBM or App World on my device

  I recently did an update on the applications and I restarted my phone (as they usually do), which was yesterday or the day before. However only today, I realized that I can't BBM or App World. I did almost everything I can. Click View all, did a battery pull, turn off the phone and he started to come back. sought the phone for him, switch application, clicked to see if it was open it. I don't know what I can do or what I did to make this happen and advice or information would be really useful if you please.   This answer applies to these two posters above.

  Connect your phone to your PC via the USB port.  Open BlackBerry Desktop Software.  Click device in up and restoration in the menu dropdown.  (If you did no backup, go to the next paragraph).  Choose the most recent backup file, making sure that it is checked and click on restore or OK or anything that is the command prompt.  This should restore everything on your phone correctly.

  If you did a backup on your phone, open Desktop software, click device up and update the menu drop down.  They tell you your phone is updated (if it doesn't, choose the update if you wish.  Otherwise, go to my sense).  In this box, you'll see other Versions.  Click on that and make sure that your current version, probably the one on the top of the list, is checked.  Click Update and wait outside.  All icons and programs must be restored to your phone.

  I transferred more than 1,000 contacts from my smart phone based on Windows to my curve.  Once the transfer is complete, I've seen.

  When I tried to go back and view them again, they are not there.  But when I go into the menu options in the address book, it still says they are there.  The only ones I can see are the ones I hit manually before the transfer.

  How do these contacts again?

  Go to address book-> filter-> uncheck both business and personal.

  have you tried the search option... try to type the word "App world" & give it a go
