BlackBerry smartphones, I can't update my phone

Impossible to upgrade to 5.0

For the 8520 device (and some others), you must have the BlackBerry BIS plan data on your device to perform the upgrade to OS 5.0.

I'm sorry.

  • BlackBerry smartphones I can't update my apps - now they don't work at all

I don't really use apps on my blackberry but there are two that I use every day, twitter and whatsapp. I don't know if they need to update, but they have simply stopped working all together, it's already happened, but their update seems to fix. Now, I can't go in the app world do this because says that it needs wifi but I don't have it. Is it possible that I can get on the right app world using mobile Internet, because this seems like a stupid idea for people who do not have wifi!

BlackBerry World does not require a WiFi connection to work.

Options > device > application management, what AppWorld version you have installed?

    You can delete it.

Then do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones has tried to update now phone is dead

Just installed it on my Vista PC Desktop Manager and backed up all the data, etc., then got a notification that an update was available. I had questions where if I press 'j' he types "jk", even with the 'k' key and if I use the left button of the CAPS I get 'J '.  Thought an update might fix. At half way through something pops up on the screen of my BB, but didn't hear what she says, now, my phone does not. No flashing lights, white screen or anything like that. My only thought is that it might have drained the battery so I jumped it on load, but having not a lot of hope. Laptop connected to the power supply.

    It's a Curve 9300 sim free, but I use the 3 network.

Help, please! I'm almost in tears because I don't have time for that * beep * today.

When the update you should never change the phone, pop would have been nothing, the accumulator is recharged by the PC, for if not, the battery was drained. What should happen is that the phone has been disrupted while loadindg the software and now has no software on this at all, web site Crackberry visist and in the search box type, how to re - install the software on a nuked phone. You will get a step by step walk through on how to do it.

A battery pull fix your problem?  After trying to install the latest update, which continued to install after 4 hours, I pulled the battery.

    When you write your question

How can I get the load to the top of the screen to access my phone?

My phone had OS6 installed at the time it was released. Today, I decided to update to the latest version of the OS6. I downloaded the update through my device, and then click the button install. There is a prompt message warning that the installation can take 2 hours or more. After 2 hours, I started the monitoring device and noticed that there seems to be a pattern to the load up screen. 1 loading screen screen 2) black with LED light red 3) the load screen and then ends with a bright white screen 4) back to the black screen with LED Red 5) repeat this pattern.  I waited another hour to see if there was no change in the situation, but nothing. So I did a hard reset (battery pull). After waiting 5 minutes, I put the battery in and now I get this screen load pattern.

How can I pass the loading screens to access my phone again?

How do I erase and reload my camera?

If I erase and reload my camera, can I recharge my BlackBerry protect the back upward?

I would greatly appreciate any help or advice on this matter as soon as POSSIBLE!

There are two methods for recovering for you to try:

    One:

    • Open Blackberry Desktop Software & connect your device with the PC using the USB cable, without inserting the battery.
    • You have three Retry option, update or cancel, and then click Update.
    • Once it is at the stage of the "initialization of pocket" update, then insert the batteries.
    • If this does not work, and you get stuck on the safeguarding of social data feeds, go to the second method below.

    Second:

    • Start your BlackBerry in safe mode.  Article ID: KB17877 how to start a mode BlackBerry smartphone without failurehttp://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB17877
    • Connect to the BlackBerry Desktop Software and allow handheld to connect. If you are prompted to update, cancel the upgrade for later.
    • IF you can not connect or your desktop software does not recognize your device in Mode safe, please follow the instructions here to force detection: Article ID: KB10144 how to force detect the BlackBerry smartphone using the Application Loader
    • Go to device > delete > SELECT DATA > select this option to remove the Social flow and smart card data bases and follow the rest invites you to complete.
    • Now, you can go back and click to update the device through the Desktop Manager, or restart the BlackBerry in normal mode and continue on the upgrade of the air.
  • My phone blackBerry smartphones won't find updates.

I have a Curve 8520, my phone is definitely in the "Supported Devices" list on the 5, I think that this is the case, update.

    I am on O2.

Here is what happened, me and my friend got the same phone, I got mine a few months before her though. I noticed that my phone was different to my friends. As my texts have a completely white background, and it shows the texts in a folder, the most recent upward. And show them the text as one... Ping Chat conversation? I asked them how they got their phones like that and they say, Oh, "it was just like that." so I go to text settings and mess around with it for a while. Also that the profile of their bbm surveys Viewer is different to mine, too. And I can't understand it.

Anyway, this friend, his phone was just like mine. Texts of plain with a white background, my bbm. I was with her all the time. When we come back to his own to start the phone upwards and all that jazz, she gets an update when it it plugged into a laptop (she takes office, his brother had previously downloaded) after updating his phone was like our friends. I thought 'Let me try?' and my phone would not be updated. I went home and looked liked in it. The software of my phone is 4.6.1.314 and I'm guessing that's not the most recent. I noticed the 'Advanced Search - Update Wireless' part, I try. And he says "No update available" so I try by going to the "software updates" on the O2 website, same result. I try the software from office once again, same result.

Are there really no update for my phone, or I do something wrong? .

The software you have is exceeded is why your features look old, you must upgrade to the latest version of the software which is 5.0.0... which is specific to your carrier O2. Download the latest version of the software and click on the following link: https://swdownloads.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do?code=7D2A383E54274888B4B73B97E1AAA491 if you are fairly well informed, you can update yourself or load the software on your PC then identify it via Desktop Manager. Don't forget to save! After the new software in your phone will be new aspect

  • BlackBerry Smartphones not able to get my phone to work unless in safe mode

There are two problems I see. Yesterday, I've updated througn Office of BB online. I have now deleted the BB 7.1.0 CoreApplications four times. When I start my phone one of the two things happening. I can enter my password, but when I hit the key enter the phone crashes and will only go to safe mode. The second thing that happens is it accepts my password, but immediately the following message - Eception Exception: Java.Lang.Error there is an option to click OK but when I get my BB freezes. I have installed and uninstalled all languages twice, I restarted a dozen times or more, I reinstalled a version more ancient dating back months and not seen no change to these questions. I can work the phone in safe mode, but this isn't a solution. I find this very frustrating. I would also like to be able to talk to a human being on this subject but can't find a number on your website. A WTF happening? I'm about to launch this phone in the tray and get an IPhone!

Hello and welcome to the community!

I think that you may need to perform a clean reload OS... from your post, I can't quite tell if you did that.

Please visit this official download portal as you go along. If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

From a PC, you can install any compatible OS package (for example, for your BB model exact number) of a BB via this procedure:

Note Although written to "recharge" and the storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade or recharge any BB device model - depends on the operating system package you download and install on your PC. After installing the operating system on your PC package, please remember to remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

Don't forget that you remove, since your PC, any other BB OS devices as packages with more than one installed on the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.

You can also study the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe what he is capable.

You can also try the "skeleton OS Reload procedure" in an attempt to circumscribe the precise causal element:

    1. Load your OS "bare bones"... If everything is optional, do not install it.
    2. If the behavior is immediately, then try another OS with step 1
    3. If the behavior does not immediately, then run for as long as necessary to make you to be sure that the behavior will not occur.
    4. Add one more thing - no matter how tempting, one.
    5. If the behavior does not immediately present, and then runs for long enough to be sure he won't have the same problem
    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are responsible or the behavior presents

When the behavior shows up, you know the culprit... the last thing you have loaded.

If the behavior doesn't re-present, then you know that step 1 or 2 cured it.

If the behavior has anything, then you have probably a problem of material level for which no amount of OS or software can heal.

You may also use these tips:

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

Please refer to this information, which is at the top of each page on this site:

Contractually, BlackBerry cannot provide any support from first line for nothing. All support first line begins with mobile service providers, to the place of origin of purchase or an authorized service center (it varies according to the region and the specific question). When you bought your device and the services, you should have been informed about your methods of formal support... If you weren't, you need to check your place of origin of purchase or your service provider mobile as to what those who are for you.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones stuck 7.1 update!

I was updating my OS 7.1 9380 curve but the battery died and now its impasse on "save your social data 9% of the flow", I can not access to the phone and the phone connects to the desktop software is constantly trying to connect to no error message!  How can I get the phone to a any normal state please help?

    Hello Samanthatimns

    Welcome to the community

(1.) you have the battery charger using an external source if the battery is now.

2.) open Blackberry Desktop Software & connect your device with your PC via a USB cable, without insertion of battery.

You have three Retry option, update or cancel, and then click Update.

Once it will update pocket computer initialization, then insert batteries...

    Good luck..!
