BlackBerry smartphones, I need quick access to my phone lock

I have a Blackberry Curve and I have already put a password on it and the sooner it will lock is 1 minute. I was wondering is there a faster way to request the short password to turn off the phone and turn it back on?

You can click on the 'Lock' icon on the home screen to block the phone immediately without having to wait for the security time-out parameter

    Hi all

I hope this will help some of you out there. What I am about to show you will help you easily access your BIS tool for most of the major suppliers. If you are replacing an old appliance with a new blackberry, the link will update your PIN / IMEI automatically in the BIS tool. This will bypass also need to connect via the username / password.

We wish to follow the link from your BlackBerry smartphone: https://bis.na.blackberry.com/wap?brand=(BRAND), where you see (MARK), you want to replace it with your provider.

    Common brands are:

    America:

    cingularme (AT & T)

    VZW (Verizon Wireless)

    TMobile (T-Mobile)

    Sprint (Sprint)

    Canadian:

    Rogers (Rogers)

    TELUS (Telus)

Once you have done so, you will have full access to check, move the emails etc. You can move / check your emails in any simply hittings the move button next to your emails and entering your password to the E-Mail address.

From what I've seen it works absolutely any BlackBerry model.

    Hope this helps,

Is possibe ist to disconnect a device of BBProtect after that the BB ID is already deleated?

Even reinstalling the operating system has not solved the problem. After the reboot you must fill the deleated BB - ID.

  • How can blackBerry smartphones, I download my phonebook from one phone to another

I change service providers to one that has the local technical support but horrible coverage (Sprint) to that which do not have local support or provide you with a phone. Sprint uses no SIM card. I use a 9330 with Sprint and received a 8310 old until I can afford to buy a new phone. I want to download my phonebook to my 9330 on my 8310. Does anyone know how to do this? I have the Blackberry Desktop Software on my PC, but it treats each phone separately, and I don't see where is my phone book.

There is no copy paste. You need to connect the old phone and choose Save.
You can choose to only back up your contacts.
You now have them all safely stored.
When you receive your new phone, you can plug it in and it will ask you if you want to restore a profile. Say Yes and restore the saved. Easy.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not send messages or make phone calls

My BB torch worked fine earlier, but there is an hour, it just stopped.  He has connections and bars, until in the Connections window bit. I tried it turn on and off as well as to take out the battery after it's off to reset.  I tried to remove all of my old conversations in the phone as well. I can still connect to the internet on this topic very well.

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your provider of wireless services for formal support.

    Good luck!

You can download any OS you want here:
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

Once installed on your PC, you should remove all files named "vendor.xml." This 'cut' and allow you to install this OS on your device.

  • Do blackBerry Smartphones you need of a map service internet access?

Recently, I bought a curve 8520 for Christmas. I went through the process of setting up wireless but when I go to manage connections in the home menu, I make a dash (-) next to the wifi connection. It is connectiiong to my network wireless at home, but when I go to the browser, I get "year error occurred while fetch the reqested page. Also, when I go to the host Routing Table that they are not entries. Mobile network I use is Digicel, but I'm not on any blackberry service plan. What is the only way I can access my wirelss home (or anywhere for that matter), if I join the service plan? If this is not the case, then how can I get internet access using wifi connection?

With WiFi and no data plan, you can use the browser from access point to access the internet for browsing.

Options > Advanced > browser, set it to the Hotspot. and save.

You must have the data Plan BlackBerry active on your account with your carrier or mobile operator, in order to obtain the features RIM push email, as well as BlackBerry data services such as the internet browser, Facebook for BlackBerry, BlackBerry Messenger and much more.

Then, call your carrier a inquire to have added to your account BlackBerry data Plan.

    Good luck.

Otherwise, it is navigation Hotspot and it is.

    Hi guru,.
Thank you for the answer. I followed the entire process, but none the case on all the links there is an option to send the password to reset BlackBerry ID to an external address is e-mail that is for example:-gmail account. I really need some request you please explain myself better.

I think that you read correctly... re-read the Workaround"" section. He said nothing to do anything to your GMail account instead, you must follow the instructions, log into your BIS account (from a PC or your BB... it will be much easier to use a PC well) and activate the automatic redirection of your @bb to your Gmail account. Then return the password reset email, access your GMail account, and you should receive the email to reset it in order to finally use it to solve your problems.

Please follow exactly the instructions and if you don't follow some sections, he cites exactly with what exactly you did and what exactly doesn't work correctly (point by point, please, with all the details). I can't explain that any better unless you are specific about exactly where/how you're stuck.

    Good luck!

  • Access blackBerry Smartphones to backup data without using a phone smart blackberry. How does this work?

I had a Blackberry 9700 and I made a back-up via Blackberry Protect App. My Blackberry is stolen and I want to transfer all data (approx. 600 phone numbers) from the back-up to my PC or to my Samsung Galaxy SII that I can borrow temporarily from a friend. Bottom-line: I need access to my back-up data without using a Blackberry device. How does this work?

    Hey Sourbag,

Welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums.

You will need a BlackBerry to access these backup information. There is no way around it in BlackBerry Desktop Software.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Newbie needs help [STORM 9500]

    Hi people.
I recently got a new BB Storm 9500 my plan of operator and now I'm learning how to customize him completely.
Right now I'm having two problems.
I can't update the software. I'm in the course of the new BlackBerry Desktop Software downloaded from the official website of BlacBerry but everytime I try I get the same message. An unexpected failure. It always happens when the software tries to access the ROM of the device.
I changed and re-changed almost all the options of Setup in the software but I can't find the solution.
    Someone had this problem?

Another problem I have is the financial problem.
Here at the Brazil data plan is quite expensive. Without Wi - Fi on the device, it is very difficult work with internet on the mobile phone.
So, find a trick to add to BlackBerry to access wi - fi networks?
Or have a way to connect to an internet connection PC hollow?

    Thanks for help.

Without more details, it will be difficult to determine what is happening with your upgrade, but if you follow the directions in this link below, which has the latest newest 9500 OS out, you should be good.

    http://www.BlackBerryForums.com/General-9500-series-discussion-storm/203092-latest-OS-9500-4-7-0-237...

These guidelines do not use Desktop Manager, you will see.

The 9500 has no WiFi, and even with WiFi, you would need your operator BlackBerry data plan to enable all the BlackBerry service has this push email RIM, browser, etc..

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Can that I access the Lacie Media Server media?

It is a question, I have asked for centuries, I keep all my music stored on my Edmini HDD network media Server is enabled. Is it possible to access files or server - the Player supports http and ftp, but I can't find a way to spot on the blackberry.

Sorry to bug you guys... I'm new to Blackberry you could have together!

in any case - problem solved, took a bit of work, but here's how it goes.

Find the address IP of BB using 'whatsmyip.org' - set my router to allow access to this address in the network. Configuration of the virtual server on router point to the NAS Lacie Edmini (internal IP). Now search for IP home address using whatsmyip and put this IP address in the url bar of BB - BINGO!, enter the identifiers to Lacie admin or http server and all my stuff stored network can be obtained to wherever I am - without the need to have a PC or MAC server.
