    Hi team,

I am facing this problem on my BlackBerry 9780, where all emails arrive in the 'Messages' box, I want that my forthcoming mails in the mailbox respective only.

What are the settings you need to do.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones delete an e-mail account on the curve which does not show in the e-mail settings

I recently had to replace my curve with a new, did a restore to get all my data back, but remained in the implementation of the e-mail account on the device, even if it still showed as an icon on the home screen, which we will call this account 'home '. But that account was no longer functional, I could neither receive nor send emails through it.

Go to the e-mail settings and connecting to the BIS does not display the 'House' account, in fact, he showed no account at all. So I went in the same configuration once again, we'll call this 'Play' account and another for 'working '. These two work very well, but it irks me that the former "House" is always appear on the home screen, as well as a choice to send messages to when you compose an email.

I know that sooner or later I accidentally use the account 'Home' to send a message that will never be delivered. Unfortunately a mail sent to home' not to bounce.

Does anyone have a solution for this?

    Thank you!

  • Schedule of blackBerry Smartphones is exploded my Bold 9780

Hi, recently my calendar disappeared completely from my Bold 9780. I can't access it anywhere on my phone. At first, I thought it was just my icon that was deleted, but now I can't seem to find that anything that is related to my calendar at all on my phone. Use my upcoming events, that I posted in my calendar is displayed all the time in the same area as my messages, but now none are appearing. Any help with this would be appreciated. Thank you

    Brandon

Please check and see if the calendar application is always installed (it is a basic application and cannot be easily removed... but only in some cases):

    • KB10040 How to view or delete applications on a BlackBerry smartphone

Also remember that you control with a lot of attention to the calendar icon... Make sure that you look at each part of the home screen, as well as in each subfolder to the home screen... it is possible that you accidentally moved the icon. Also make sure you have "Show all" active you are looking for, make sure that the icon was accidentally hidden.

If not, have you installed anything since it last worked OK? A new theme perhaps? If Yes, try to remove that and see if your calendar resumes its normal operation.

In addition, is nothing happened between the time things were normal and this behavior started? A new application, updating, nothing else? Think carefully because the smallest thing could be causal... and maybe try to undo that.

In addition, I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see if you can access the calendar app. If so, then some 3rd party app interferes.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones comparing memory on "BOLD" for iphone: (?)

The "BOLD" website lists: in addition to 624 MHz Intel procesor by Marvel (compared to 312 MHz), it lists flash 128 MB and 1 GB on-board memory and a slot for up to 16 GB more.

The iphone site lists: it just says 8 GB or 16 GB flash.

I do not understand the difference.  I think that the world of office in what concerns the hard drive and Ram.  I guess, but don't know, as smart phones like these use something similar to this, but given that two Web sites use exactly the same terminology I do not know how to compare.

    (1) the data above means that the iphone has much more available memory? (After all, 1 GB of flash is much more than 128 MB flash)

    (2) or maybe its apples and oranges and the 8 GB or 16 GB iphone capacity memory simply alluded without actually it indicating the location available for additional memory, so in reality is the same thing as the "BOLD"?  (But if its what so what's onboard memory iphone to compare with the 1 GB onboard memory referenced to the "BOLD"?)  And what is the comparison of the iphone for flash 128 MB?)

    (3) for the basic understanding, is the 128 MB of flash to the "BOLD" actually the RAM I think of a desktop computer, and if yes, what is the on-board memory of 1 GB?

Can someone clarify all above and in particular specify them the appropriate comparisons with the iphone and not only on the question of memory, but also what is the processor of the iphone and the speed of the processor?

Thank you.  The supposed November 4, 2008 U.S. retail release date is almost here.  I really hope that many folds referenced on this forum are addressed in this new phone.

Hello, you shouldn't think if conditions of RAM (RAM) / WORM (hard drive), but in terms of xxxx. On Blackberry devices, you have a partition for the system & applications (called "Internal memory"): it's the 128 MB on the "BOLD". On it, you hold:

    • The PIM applications: email, notes, address book, calendar, tasks and notes
    • Phone applications: SMS/MMS, browser, speech recognition
    • Third application Opera Mini, games and each application you want to download
    • the RAM as you understand it, on a computer

Then you have an additional memory card (also called Media card), 8 MB up to 32 GB, which can contain all other things: photos, videos, mp3, Office & PDF files. It is equivalent to the non-system partition.

On the iPhone, the two briefs are merged.

On the Blackberry, there is a third party application that allows to store applications on the memory card and load them onto the internal memory before using it.

It is quite difficult to compare the two:

on the iPhone, you have a powerful processor somehow, which is crippled by a lot of your operating system (it's OSX for Mobile, but always OSX). On a Blackberry, you have a CPU less powerful, but with an operating system designed for a handheld device.

On an iPhone, an application is large enough. It is very rare to find one that is less than 1 MB.

On the blackberry, it's the opposite: the applications are smaller.

On an iPhone, you can not get an application that has not been approved by Apple Inc. (unless you jailbreak your iPhone). On a blackberry, you can get any app that someone publishes. Including porn.

On an iPhone, if I want to develop an application, I have to pay a tax of $100 AppleInc; If I did not, then my application can be downloaded by jailbroken iPhones. On a Blackberry, I don't pay anything. I just publish it somewhere on the web. I'll give you a very specific example: Opera Mini is one of the most beautiful browser for mobile phones. Apple has refusedto got it publishedso no one can use it on an iPhone (except the jailbreak).

Another very concrete example: If you pay $100 and prepare your application, if Apple refuses, then you have the eyes to cry: you've lost time (and perhaps money to hire developers) and you cannot be assured that you can sell.

Another example: say, you sell an application. It is 10EUR. If the consumer is not happy with it, they can return it. In this case, he or she gets the return of 10EUR. Fine for him or her. But continues to Apple the transaction fees, which means or do not get the return 10EUR but 10EUR less standard fees from Apple (it's to a few % but I don't know how).

    the result is twofold:

on the one hand, there is a trend that everyone wants to develop for Apple

on the other side, Apple is doing everything to rot the lives of these people.

But Apple's App Store is a good idea, and Blackberry has just made an announcement about a same store for Blackberry users.

I just got a curve, so I'm not even interested in looking at the most advanced mobile devices with touch screen, but I think you should try both for real and not just look at the numbers. There are also some exclusive features to the iPhone: link to the iTunes music store and iPod it contains. and others that are exclusive to the "BOLD": stereo Bluetooth, copy/paste and total synchronization with Outlook (emails not only).

  • BlackBerry Smartphones in my BB bold password problem

I was running out of battery in my BB "BOLD" and a friend connected to its USB to work, but as it has a BB Bold company, my BB directly sync with his PC.

I had after a few changes, but the worst thing is the password mode which is ON now.

Before I only need support on * and dial to unlock my keyboard, now I have to put a password every time I unlock my keyboard.

I went into the Menu password and here I am trying to diseable password, but it does not work now, there like a lock red litle next to active and impossible to change... the only thing I can do is to change the password but not turn it off.

I did in general settings after a wipe Handheld, and every time it ask me to put a new password.

What can I do to stop this type of password?

    Hello

If you guys have some functions locked in your BBBold, because a policy is installed and does not give you permission to diseable this function as a password to unlock the keyboard etc...

    its easy to remove.

What I did is, I completely uninstall my BlackBerry to my PC Software Manager, and I installed again but this time, I only installed the Desktop Manager Blackberry Internet Service, office means a personal BB (sound in your CD with the upcoming BB)

Attention do not re - install the Blackberry Enterprise Server.

After choosing "for all those who use the PC.

Once installation connect your BB to your PC then go into "Synchronize certificates" and once the sync is done, to disconect your BB and go to the menu and you can now activate or diseable all kinds of passwords securitys etc...

Also you need more if you want to put a password whenever you unlock the keyboard.

    make a backup!

Also... to perform this procedure, you do not need to wipe your BB or select something, just leave it as it is.

  • How can BlackBerry Smartphones improved 9700 to 9900 - I move my apps for the new phone?

I just switched carriers and got a new phone. I had several applications on the old phone, among free apps that I recently downloaded. When I connect to the blackberry app world with on my new phone connected, I see apps in 'my world '. When I connect the new phone, they all disappear. I got the blackberry app world could move the apps on my new phone, but it seems to be now way to do. It's like the old 'my world' disappears when I connect the new phone. I would have thought if they were not compatible with the new operating system that they show at least as being waiting for upgrade or something. Am I missing something?

    Most applications will be compatible.

On the new device, go to AppWorld > MyWorld.

Press the Menu button > refresh.

You should see all your old apps in the list "uninstalled". Click at the top of the screen to pull down the uninstalled.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Upgrade causes the connection Bluetooth to the desktop software does not work

I'm a business traveler road warrior who lives and dies by my BlackBerry synced with my laptop.  I just spent most of November on the road and worked hard the BB and laptop.  The two worked perfectly.  I was able to sync the BB to the laptop with Bluetooth or USB cable and not problems.  Since I was AT & T, I could use the BB as a modem for laptop and get 3G service everywhere wherever I was going.  Life was good back in the day... November 2010.

Then... I get some downtime and decide to meet the guests of the BlackBerry software desktop that there are updates available for the desktop software and software of the device of 9000 "BOLD".  I decided that since I have no immediate need and criticism so I can update.  So I update.

I updated the software to version 5. something to 6.0.0.43 version.  Once the software has been updated, I get a prompt to upgrade the 9000 to a new version of software for device.  So I move from 4.6.something to 5.0.0.82 2.

I do a couple of synchronization with the USB cable and I feel good.  Then I try to sync using bluetooth.  No joy.  Unable to get the desktop software to see the Blackberry.  The 9000 "BOLD" connects to Windows 7 OK and I can even use the laptop as a speaker.

So I go through the "Add bluetooth device" menu and office procedures.  During the search of a device discoverable bluetooth, the 9000 "BOLD" is so I clicked and respond OK.  Then I went back to the Bluetooth Configuration screen where nothing appears.  I can't add the 9000 "BOLD" for Desktop software.  Something is not.

Nothing is more exasperating to have everything to work perfectly, apply the updates recommended by the provider of the software, and then have things get broken and stop working.  Before after the Desktop software prompts to upgrade, I worked flawlessly.  After you apply the upgrade of Desktop software and device software upgrade, I can not connect with Bluetooth.

I searched on the Internet until I no longer have to read in order to find a solution but can't seem to find a solution.  Maybe I'm just angry with RIM and these horrible upgrades that utility that I really liked.

Let me answer a few questions before someone decides to help him.

Is your BlackBerry detectable, so she can be found and associated with?  Yes, I updated the device discoverable.

You can pair your BlackBerry with Windows 7 64 bit?  Yes.  No problem.  I can use the laptop running Windows 7 64 bit as a speaker with the BB.

Could you have made other changes that may have caused the problem?  Nope.  I did not follow the guidelines of RIM in updgrading Desktop software and device software.  I suppose that, in this case, I followed the destruction of the RIM.

You do backup your BlackBerry 9000 "BOLD" before upgrading the device software?  Yes.  I'm not stupid and don't trust any upgrade for the exact reasons, I'm writing on this forum.

You have a Windows 7 restore set where you can go back to a point in time before you upgraded the Software Desktop 5 point. something to 6.0.0.43?  Yes.  I have a restore point.

Do you have confidence that you can do both a restore of Windows 7 to get something back to 5. AND then to restore the device to 4.6.something?  Man, that thought makes me sick at heart.  I trust both RIM and MSFT to do their work and we know that RIM was screwed up, or I wouldn't be here today.

Can anyone help with obtaining of BlackBerry Desktop Software 6.0.0.43 (updated 5.something) version to see and the pair with a BlackBerry 9000 "BOLD" which had 6.0.0.43 improve software 4.6.something to 5.0.0.82 device 2?

It is confirmed.  5.0.0.82 2 is total c * p.  Who knows what complete insanity due to RIM out a such terrible and wounded many customers update.

I was able to downgrade from 5.0.0.82 2 to 4.6.0.304.  Compatible bluetooth and connected seemlesly, even if the connection has been very sloew the order of minutes of time to the Desktop Manager.

Here are the instructions to downgrade.

1 remove the newer operating system of your PC by going to control panel > Add/Remove programs.

    2. next, download and install the earlier version of the operating system. BlackBerry operating system downloads

    Find here the operating systems:

    http://BlackBerryFAQ.com/index.php/BlackBerry_Operating_System_Downloads

    3. install the older operating system to the computer by running (double click) the downloaded file.

    4. go into c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."

(I had to look for vendor.xml as I have Windows 7, but when I found and deleted things work as described).

    5. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

These instructions worked like a charm.  Connected to Desktop Manager and did a sync as soon as the 9000 "BOLD" restarted.  Apparently, the problem was my stupidly following the recommendation to upgrade the operating system to 5.0.0.82 2.

    ****************************************************************************************************

I found these other topics in this forum.  A couple of them express my feelings.

    1. "BOLD" upgrade to the new OS 5.0 ATT, worked for six hours and now quite dead

    2 BOLD 9000 update

3 bold 9000 problem after upgrade to 5.0

It is a question has already been given that is reviewed by our development team. No resolution time is currently available.

    5. problem with 5.0.0.82 2

    Good comments in this thread!

    6. upgrade to 5.0.0.82 2 now no visual voicemail (ATT)
Just another thing about the 5.0.0.82 2 upgrade... IT SUCKS DO NOT! The SMS is now garbage as it collects all text messages and combines a conversation and you cannot choose to delete or restart without deleting the text entering of this person and everything behind it. Until the Bugs are worked out stay away 5.0 versions (anything ending in par.822 and earlier) just my 2 cents worth

    7. problems with the new OS 2 and put 5.0.0.82 at level of the desktop software?

    Good comments in this thread!
8 losing sound on 9000 "BOLD" after downloading the OS 5.0
I suggest that you go to 4.6 this latest OS 5.0.0.82 2 is broken.  RIM has published a BONE broken to the unsuspecting public.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Some WMP songs non DRM Media Sync displays the status "not found".

    Version media sync: 3.0.0.39

    PC operating system: Windows 7

Version of WIndows Media Player (WMP): 12.7600.16415

    BB: 9000, v4.6.0.304 (Platform 4.0.0.247)

I have loaded correctly media sync.  He reads very well my Windows Media Library.  When it loads music playlists to select Synchronize, see most as 'Supported' in the status column.  However, there are many others who appear as 'not found '.   Is there a size limit of file or the maximum size of file/path that could be the cause?   These aren't the DRM files. He came to music that I burned a CD and a CD given, for example, could have 13 songs on it and have only 4 of them appear as 'not found '.   I don't see something like this in the forums.  I hope that someone else has seen elsewhere.   Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to offer.

Found the solution!  I had to restore my library in Windows Media Player (WMP).  Currently, using v12.   Tools-> advanced-> restore medial library... (prepare to take hours 2 or more depending on the size of your library).  When the restoration is completed, I reconnected it my Blackberry for media Synch and all files started appearing.  After restoring 2 notes: 1) I deleted then recreated my playlists; (2) the default playlist called all music does not show media sync, but I renamed it in WMP, and finally, he has appeared in the Media Sync.

    Hope this helps someone.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones improve OS 5 to 6 on the Bold 9700

Hi, I'm having a devil of a time trying to update my Bold 9700 OS 5 to 6.

I have BB desktop software 7.1.0.41

When I connect the BB it is said that no update is available.

When I download version 6 OS updates manually on the web and install it on my PC, they are not in the availble updates the list.

is there something that I am missing?

Ok. Bottom line in the front. If there is not a compelling reason for upgrade you to OS6, my advice is not to do so. I used the 9700, installed OS6 and returned to OS5. My memory is fuzzy, but I think the main reason was that I lost a lot of function with shortcuts if I had stuck with OS6. At least make sure you have a way to go back if you don't like it.

    Then...

    See http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Device-software/How-To-Reload-Your-Operating-Syste...

If you use desktop software t to download and install the operating system, it will only show you versions with your carrier. If you download the OS and install it from your carrier, again, you have only one choice of what your operator allows.

You can install an OS released by another carrier. You must remove all instances of vendor.xml on the computer. Search for anything, including the hidden and delete any file vendor.xml on your computer.

Note also that. When you download the files of the operating system, you must run it, run it on the computer.

    Hope that helps.

  • Updated blackBerry smartphones shaped on the "BOLD"

I would like to get my "BOLD" woman, she likes the look feel of the size of the curve (I a) but would like to have the installation in the form of Word/Excel/Powerpoint, one of the additional features of the bold on the curve. However, I'm getting confused advice on its ability to be formatted. In the mobile stores I get the blank face predictable, they don't even know not it formats not these applications, or I get another typical lack of reactions of knowledge! I played with a "BOLD" demo in a Vodafone store and tried to open the Word application, he told me that he does not have a standard edition on this device, it's need the premium edition! Ditto for Excel and Powerpoint. What the eck bloomine that means? The 'Help' guy in the store said Oh, "mmmmm, don't know what that means, this demo is just out of the box that you would get if you own one of us. I'll ask the blackberry rep when she arrives next week. »

So, can someone explain if the "BOLD", as it is a normal customer, has the ability to format? Also would like to know, assuming he did, how 'well' is? I can't believe that's all that comes with them on MS Office on a pc, so I guess that these are versions of incision that allow common tasks. In particular, I would like to know how usable and effective it is with Powerpoint presentations.

    Thank you in anticipation

There nothing risky about the upgrade of OS 4.5, your backup device completely as it should, first of all.

The few problems that you notice on various forums are those who have problems, and some do more because of not following the instructions completely. It is much less common for those who have updated to write "all right."
