BlackBerry Smartphones invalid Direct Connect #.

My unlocked BB 8350i generates no DC calls to certain numbers unless I have send an alert first.  If I try to call a message "invalid direct connect #" appears on the screen.

I notice that the numbers has some kind of resemblance, they are:

Can't do DC call to the:

8 * 68415
8 * 72294
* 83 * 90074

But can make calls from DC to:

8 * 58031
8 * 39093
* 83 * 18035

TKS.

Thanks for the tip buddy!

I've updated to the latest version (4.6.1.112) and the problem was solved!

Thanks in advance!

Kind regards

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not connect to Internet / locked message screen

    Hello!!

I have 2 questions that I hope someone can answer.

#1), I have a unlocked new Curve 9300 OS5, checked with my cell phone provider to make sure that everything was compatible before I bought it. My cell phone operator's cellular consumption and their internet settings etc is the same as AT & T, but I am not able to connect to the internet. The phone I bought was a phone that has been configured for use with AT & T. My operator tells me that Blackberry phones are the only phones that they were not able to get to connect to the internet, all other phones that they have had no problem with, nice huh?  I do not understand why Blackberry phones, even those which is suitable for AT & T does not connect to the internet via cellular consumption, even using the same codes, or what you like AT & T, or so I thought. Someone, can someone help me to understand this or put me in touch with someone who can, I think Blackberry would learn this so that the problem can be solved, I know several people who would have liked to have bought Blackberry phones, but decided to not not having heard about my situation.

Locked screen message #2). I watched the video and followed the direction, made several times to ensure that I was not missing anything and I still can't display locked message to change the message resolved to plant in my message. Any thoughts on this problem?

Thanking all in advance for your time and your help.

#1) to connect to the Internet with a BlackBerry, you need to have a BlackBerry plan data. Without this, you will get no data service, apart from a few wifi on a BlackBerry Smartphone services.

(#2) you are sure that the device is 'new '? That the message is displayed on the lock screen?

Hello and welcome to the community!

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your configurations for the relevant accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Invalid email and password on blackberry 9790

I have been using everything ok through POP3 email on my blackberry for the last six months and then all of a sudden yesterday asked me to check the password that I tried to do it but the only message I get, is that my user name or password is invalid.  This is not the case, as I am with the same username and password on outlook and my Ipad and these work perfectly. Can anyone help?

We had a problem with our email on Wednesday, it is now sorted and the passwords have not been changed.

I tried the hard reset, tried to set up online service, free books works and still will not accept the good user name and the password.  It's driving me crazy!

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not CONNECT to THE SERVER

Hello need help. My Blackberry Curve 8520 (OS 5.0.0.1036) does not connect to the server. It shows my network (Vodafone) and gets a strong signal; makes and receives calls; connect wifi; but it is also completely static. After the first Setup email screen I get: your device has a connection to the server problm.  (I think it means the Blackberry server?)  So I can not connect any email.  Very well in my other near-identical Curve 8520 Sim Card work.  How can I do please?  Y at - it a reset or software update is complete I can undertake? Thank you, Michael

    • Article ID: KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings

If you do a backup/restore, don't do this basically... rather, backup/restore only the databases specific you need (for example, calendar, contacts, messages, etc.) and more precisely to avoid data bases having something to with COMPUTER policy, business, etc.. If you restore those, the it policy will be conscientiously restored to the device, and you will be right where you are now.

As for a BES Server trying to reach out... There is nothing that I can offer you. Your best bet is to talk to your provider and make sure you have no BES-level service enabled on your account of them. Who should (note 'should'... is there no guarantees) prevent a BES server to reach out and the reactivation of your device.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not connect BlackBerry Pearl 9105 for PC

    Hello world

    I have the following problem:

After using my BB Pearl 9105 for almost 3 years, I can not connect to PC more (I still menu with choice of 3 options on my smartphone when I connect, but when I click on that option "usb" or "charge", the menu appears again).

In addition, the PC does not recognize my smartphone as a usb device. Updated BlackBerry Desktop Software and the purchase of the new Micro-USB cable did not help.

    I can still load.

Could anyone suggest me how to solve this problem?

In addition, make sure you use only the root USB ports... without hubs (sometimes the front-end ports are hubs... use a rear USB port). And don't forget to try to disable the USB power management in the configuration of your system (Device Manager).

Check also on the incompatible software... it was reported that NTI Shadow Ninja & software can cause a conflict; Remove and reinstall the desktop software BB allows to install correctly.

My apologies in advance if this is redundant - there is no way to be sure that if you have already seen and tried these. Also apologies if all are not currently available... RIM takes their monte and descends at will as they revise things.

If you get the error # 30702, then please go through this section of the Knowledge Base and see if that helps:

KB28212 "Impossible to connect to your BlackBerry ID account" or "Impossible to update your BlackBerry ID account information" error occurs on a BlackBerry smartphone running BlackBerry 7

Try it and see if that helps.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Chrysler U-Connect - lately will not work w / 9630

I have a Jeep with U-Connect 2006.  I got the 9630 since last fall, and it worked perfectly with the U-Connect.

In the last few weeks I started getting a message 'Phone' on the stereo display, and it stays there, inhibition of the stereo system, until I turn off bluetooth 9630's.

I tried to purge and then re - bind the 9630 with the U-Connect system, but no change.

As an experiment, I took out my previous Moto Razr, and it syncs well with the U-Connect.

It seems to me it's a matter of Blackberry, because the U-Connect worked with her fine before, and the Razr is now... If the 9630 is not listed as supported a phone on the site of Chrysler.

Nobody knows anything about this problem or have any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello TomJax,

Welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums.

In this case, we can try to reload the software on the BlackBerry smartphone to make sure she is running the most recent version and there is no problems with the operating system.

To do this, we would need to back up the BlackBerry smartphone. Please open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager and connect your BlackBerry smartphone. Click the backup and restore button, and select Save. Note the location where the backup is saved will allow us to access later to restore the BlackBerry smart phone.

Once you have saved your BlackBerry smart phone, please follow the link below to complete a clean reload of the BlackBerry smartphone software.

I have my cell service through T-Mobile and recently upgraded to a Bold 9700 with internet service. I can browse the internet via 3G network and an address of hot spot using Wi - Fi. When I turn off the 3G network, I get a "cannot find server message".

I went through the technical support to the company of cable, Blackberry and Netgear without solution. The problem seems to be with the router, but I can't find a way to fix it. I'm about to buy another phone or router. If anyone has any ideas please help. Thank you

It works!  I've accessed the configuration of the router. It would work without security. It would not work with WPA - PSK [TPIK], I activated the two WPA2-PSK [AES] AND WPA-PSK [TPIK] AND IT is CONNECTED. I don't KNOW WHY, BUT I SURE AM HAPPY. I guess the BB don't like TPIK

  • Storm blackBerry Smartphones to stay connected

Hey everybody. I'm new, so sorry if I posted this in the wrong category.

I guess I'll start from the beginning... Yesterday my Storm decided to junk on me once more. It rebooted itself at random and displays a screen saying "the catastrophic Assertion failure". I tried everything without success. Finally, I managed to wipe completely and re - install the operating system. It was good for about 10 minutes.

From now on, it lights up, and if I connect it to my computer, all that happens is the red light (without blinking, stays right on) and it will start the connection / disconnection. The phone itself won't even turn. And I tried to recharge it for 9 hours now. I tried every tip and the thing I can find on these forums. The main problem is that it won't stay in touch long enough to do anything. I can't even wipe it again with the program JL (whatever it is called).

I've been reading around and see a lot of people said that in Device Manager, the blackberry comes in one of the USB root Hubs when they hang it up. Mine however appears in its own category under Blackberry, with a Blackberry device labeled sub-category.

I don't know if this is the problem and the reason why it will not stay connected.

It's the only thing I can think of, so if anyone has a solution or even another reason which is why this is happenning, I'd be happy to hear your ideas! I hope to return on jobs calls in the next few days so this phone is a must for me

Oh and if it is useful at all, I have the latest version of the Desktop Manager, and last night before it crashed ten minutes later, I installed the latest OS. I use windows vista

    Thank you!

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

There are a few things to try, but honestly, I don't hold much hope. I can't find reference to this specific error message, but it sounds not well at all... a sign of hardware failure in my humble OPINION, for which no corrective software can help. If you are really needing to work, I recommend the direction directly to your store of formal support wireless and likely replacement service provider.

    Good luck!
