  OK you all think im a complete wazzuk

  IM new blackberry (no idea) they gave me a 8800 which came with disks

  but I was told that I can dl on this site, which I did... the last application office

  in any case... He told me that I need to update my phone and as a * beep * I pressed next

  at halfway through the eraseing and download from my pc came with an ERROR

  and now im left with just a white screen with a small box in the middle and a cross going through it

  can some 1 Please tell me I can fix and how or have I just broke the thing forever

  Ive looked on the pc to see if it had backed up the device (which I don't think he was)

  so there must be a way I can download a new os on blackberry

  Hi, new to the forum and do not yet have a phone smart blackberry. I was going to have a storm... but am now afraid of the phone.

  Here are my general questions on blackberry:

  I use the palm desktop software for my agenda, and I use outlook express for my e-mail contacts.

  I've never used Outlook.

  Can I have blackberry import my calendar from Palm?

  Can get it my contacts from outlook express?

  If and when this happens, if I make a change on the pone it will sync to my palm and outlook express?

• BlackBerry Smartphones - what someone know why?

  I use the version with my Storm, and recently I received an email stating:

  "This message is used to send data between the handheld Blackberry and the associated server.

  Please do not delete, move, or reply to this message. It will be processed by the server.

  My main question is why is he sent by e-mail. Shouldn't this be sent as a message directly to

  my phone if it is data, not sent by e-mail? If I'm home when it is sent, and I opened my email at home

  and it happens on my desktop before my phone... the phone never will get it.

  Another question, how long should I hold the thing dang on my phone before removing it?

  @ fowlstack - reason: you have installed Desktop Manager by using the option "Desktop Redirector.

  Step 1: If you are not using redirector, you must uninstall Desktop Manager, and then reinstall it using the BlackBerry Internet Service option.

  Step 2: On your device, go to: Options > Advanced > maintenance book and remove any service books for [office]

  I know you said you tried some things, but I don't know if you've done these steps exactly. Therefore, I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

  (1) registry HRT

  • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
  • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

  (2) remove and return Service directories

  • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
  • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
  • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
  • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

  (3) restart to take batt

  • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your BIS configuration for these accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

  up to a few days a go, I was able to surf the web and send/receive surveys bbm so I was on the phone, I contacted blackberry and they said to contact my service provider, so I did it and then we me contact blackberry once again, so I don't have all the answers. There is nothing wrong with my phone while I'm not in a call, but it's a nice feature to receive surveys bbm so I was in a call, I reset my whole phone and I'm still not having any luck can someone help me please?

  3G or WiFi is the only service on this device which will allow the data at the same time as a phone call.  There's no other way.

Even when I click on a results page will appear with some information but then half blacnk. This is the second time that this has happened the first time it happened wasacouple weeks and it was fixed once I turnedit off then turn it back on.   Uninstall all the os of your pc. Then install 4.6 os first and then copy the input of the policy module. Then paste it somewhere else. Install the 5.0 os and paste the module into the exactsame folder where you copied previously. And then upgrade your operating system what Chinese input you need? Stroke or pinyun? I'll try to pick you up later

  Also if you miss the icon browser try going into the Options | Advanced options | Host routing table. Select the "BOLD" entry, display the menu and select Save now

  Straight lines above are not a mistake, they are how messages are displayed, but the sender/description/date are displayed as it should.

  I also sent an email like that to another e-mail account, and the text is still visible which looks like I change some settings somewhere (zoom out or something).

  I just do not know what to do and do not have access to my emails it's going to cause me problems.

  My text messages are fine.

  I look forward to the advice.
