BlackBerry smartphones lost sheet to go go

My Blackberry updated itself and I lost a piece recorded at the GB file.  When I go to the "Media Manager", it appears as an icon in my [DeviceMemory] with a XLS.rem extension, but won't let me open.  How can I get the file?

You have the encryption on the card (options > memory or Options > card media, depending on your version of OS.)

Remove the encryption on the press card and that will remove the .rem extension.

Hey I've just updated v4.6 on my "BOLD" and now I can not find my contacts... info calendar and Outlook still there but all my contacts were lost... Help!

    Thank you

    Hello and welcome!

Depending on how you did the update, it may have created a backup file on your PC. If you did the update via attached USB on your PC (for example, no OTA), search your hard drive for a file with an extension of the RPI (*.ipd). Inspect the results (date/time of the file) and choose the one to use in the restore. Then, run the DTM software and perform a selective restore:

    Hey chipburch,

Welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums.

    Thanks for the question.

These missing applications are included in the software of the device and must be installed by using the BlackBerry® Desktop Software. Follow the steps in this article: http://t.co/ZP20eid

  • BlackBerry smartphones lost the username and password

Lost my username amd password to log in to the desktop software. How do I get there? Why can't blackberry just told me? !!! I have not found any access to "changing the password".

When you say desktop what are you referring? The Blackberry Desktop Software doesn't have a name and password to use. If you connect a Blackberry that has a password and Desktop software will ask for this password if you connect the device.

  • BlackBerry smartphones lost my contacts on the phone and cannot get back them.

My phone has load the other night during a power failure and the morning my contacts and contacts BB disappeared.  These contacts are not lost, because it's my gmail contacts list - but I can't get back them on my phone.  I clicked all the buttons on the sync, but no luck.  I can't manually add a contact and not seeing him.  In the options of the contacts, it says I have 288 contacts associated with my gmail account, and when I manually add one, it goes up by another number.  But - I can't see them anywhere.

Also, I deleted the email account and set up again ensuring the sync box, took out the battery and SIM card and put back and still nothing.  Advice anyone?

You see if gmail is your default service for a list of contacts?

    Check the sections under

For BlackBerry Device Software 4.2 to 5.0 or BlackBerry Device Software 6.0

If this is the case, then delete the account gmail from your device and set up in this way:

Since the device, go to mobile.blackberry.com
Scroll to connect and click Send.
Click on join now to gmail.  See if the sync works now.

  • Icons of blackBerry Smartphones lost when changing the theme

    Hello world:

I got the Dimension theme today on my Blackberry, but today I changed it to the Dimension today over the theme.

When I did, I lost icons, especially my calendar and message icons.

Is it possible to get back them again? If so, how?

    Thank you all!

    Sue

they are hidden propably because you don't need them in the today or now more themes. Since then, you can click on the titles of todayplus for the messages and calendar on the home screen

I reciently completed an upgrade of the OS on my BlackBerry 8310 that went horribly wrong and I lost not only the old operating system, but all my data including my apps that I have paid for and installed receintly.  After may hours I have the new OS installed and a Balckberry along and want to go back to where I was.

Is there a way I can download a new copy of these applications without having to pay for them? They are not in 'my applications '.

  • BlackBerry smartphones lost my default ringtones and alert sounds

    Question #2...

Recently, I swapped my small SD card for another.  During this process, it seems that all of my default ringtones and all sounds have disappeared.  They appear in the list of options available in the profile application, but I heard "dung dung dung" whenever I try to scroll in the list.

I have somehow lost them when I changed cards?

Is it possible to re - install?

    Thank you

    Chris

no no no, if you have ever moved the ringtones to the media card, they they are on the memory of the device, not the press card.

    I was just guessing.

    Thus, they are always there.

With the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

    See if they work now.

I posted before that I hated my BB Storm...

I perhaps do like my storm, it was only for 3 weeks and a bit to get the hang of it... so these new users do not give up! Still can't text message quickly and lost time trying to type, but I will keep trying!

    Hello!

First - digging around... you may have accidentally hidden or moved. Check in subfolders (e.g., Applications, downloads, etc.). Turn on hidden icons (BBKey > show all).

If they're really gone, then you will need to re - grow your service... books for that, follow these instructions:

  • Help blackBerry Smartphones: lost emails / texts, without contacts and some applications do not work on 9780!

Yesterday my camera started to get really slow so I decided to restart it. I did and was still slow, so I did a batt pull. It seemed be allright job but started sometime send me errors (app 603 / and these application exception).

Now it takes a long time to turn on, when he does continues to give these errors and some things do not work, for example, I can see my contacts but I can't open it to see their information.

Before I format it, I was wondering if anyone had these problems and if there is no solution?

The only thing I would like to try and save it would be my contact list (no, I didn't save the device)

    Any help is appreciated.

Next - think about this behavior at startup. What happened just before that date? A new application? An update? Something else? Think very carefully, because the smallest thing can be causal.

    anamobe wrote:

    Before I format it

Have you thought about how you will try that? After all, 'format' is not a same command available on a BB...

If you decide to go ahead, I recommend a refill of BONE. from a PC, you can install any bundle of BONES to a BB via this procedure:

Note that although written for "reload", it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or recharge - it depends on the OS package you download and install on your PC. You can even use a different OS package carriers simply insert, between steps 1 and 2, the deletion, on your PC, a file named PROVIDER. XML. remember that you remove from your PC, no matter what other packages devices OS BB as having more than one installed on the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones lost contacts, sms,... after the Bold 9780 upgrade to V6.0.0.546

After that I upgraded my Bold 9780 to V6.0.0.546 it worked fine with all your contacts, sms, preferences.

However, after 10 minutes, it restarted itself and I have found none of my contacts, sms, calendar,... I found my photoes!

I don't have a manual backup, but I chose to leave the Device Manager to backup my data and restore during the normal upgrade.

I have not found the .ipd file and. However I found the .bbb file I think that automatically does the Device Manager. His name is ".bbb LoaderBackup-(2012-09-16)".

Now, my problem is that my device manager cannot recognize .bbb files. He acknowledges that .ipd files.

I downloaded MagicBerry but may not loan my .bbb files. I tried another utility call "Blackberry Backup Extractor" it can read files in .bbb, but it requires registration and payment to extract more than 5 entries! In addition, you may not export to .ipd.

HOW CAN I RESTORE MY DATA WITH THE HELP OF FILE BBB OR HOW I CAN EASILY CONVERT IT TO PI?

    ENJOY EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE PLEASE.

Thanks to bifocals. I use windows XP. I tried to rename the bbb .zip file and extract, but it does not contain a file "Databases.ipd" or any in this regard .ipd file.

    I found the solution!

I have improved the BB Desktop SW version 7.1.

He acknowledged the .bbb file and I managed to do the restore
