    Satellite Pro U400 V-11 I used for a week. I don't know if this is a problem or I did something wrong. My setting of closing the lid is recording mode "Eve" in Vista.

    When I close the lid and open a few minutes later it's ok, I see the password login screen. But if the computer is in "sleep" for a while it does not return to the office when I lift the lid. The screen is black. Fan started working then quiet several times.

    The first three LEDs on the left are green. Keyboard does not respond. And also switch / stop does not work either I press once on or hold it. And only after I unplug the power adapter and press the power, it works. But it restarts the system and Windows could not close correctly the error message is displayed.

    Is this normal or something wrong with the mode 'sleep'?

    I read on some of the similar problems regarding "standby" mode and the black screen.
    Someone suggested to update the BIOS and the display driver

    So I highly recommend it too much
    See the European driver of Toshiba page, choose the model right for laptop and try to update the BIOS, then the display driver.

    Reboot the laptop and see if the problem still occurs.

    Hello

    Many of us with laptops with Windows 7 would like to ensure that, when a Windows backup is scheduled, it starts successfully and goes to full completion, regardless of whether the phone is first 'sleep', or if the user of the laptop close the lid of the laptop, which would normally the laptop mode 'sleep'.  In other words, how to backup Windows or Windows 7 be configured to wake from mode "sleep" and prevent it from sleep mode, when a backup is scheduled and actively running?

    I saw a way to schedule a task that will wake the computer, but I'm looking for something more intelligent than that.  I'm looking to see if Microsoft has already thought this through and allow you to pre-configure operating system such as we have no additional installation software.

  • iPhone not charging when the Mac is in mode 'sleep'

    Before the OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 version update, I was able to charge my phone while my Macbook Pro was in mode 'sleep' / with the lid closed. Since the update to the latest version of El Capitan, the power to the USB ports immediately turns off when the laptop goes to sleep. Is it possible to fix this?

    Hello

    I am owner of a Split 13 x 2 PC and I facing the following problem.

    When I close the lid of the portable computer will not sleep and the fan still works. I tried a different function for the lid and instead of mode 'sleep', I chose the closure of fashion. The same result. The laptop stops and the fan still works. I have to choose the windows close command and then press the power button firmly in order to stop the laptop. It is very annoying.

    Any ideas what's happening?

    Thank you

    Hi @ConstantinosG,

    Thank you for your query.

    What is your exact model of Split HP x 2?

    How can I find my model number or product number?

    What operating system is your race?

    I understand that when you have the possibility to the mode value 'sleep', and you close the lid, it is not in the mode 'sleep'.  If you change the setting to stop closing the lid there is no change. You must choose the closing down in the menus or use the power button.

    Is this a recent change or did you always have this problem?

    Here is a link to HP PC - sleep and hibernation problems (Windows, 10, 8) which can also help.

    If the problem persists, try this step to return to the setting of the power to the default values.

    • Go to the command prompt and run as administrator
    • Type powercfg - restoredefaultschemes and press ENTER.

    Please let me know the results.

  • Satellite P300-135 hangs when it is in mode 'sleep'

    Greetings,

    My brand-new P300 Satellite crashes sometimes mode "Eve" of Vista, and I can't recover with just one stop.
    (eve of XP works fine)
    I see that others have experienced similar problem, but in my case seems to happen when I accidentally Tickle (on USB) mouse while switching "Eve".
    I just updated the BIOS with the latest version, I have disabled wake up on LAN features, but the problem is still on.
    Also sometimes revives of idle if I accidentally touch the mouse, the event if the lid is closed.

    What should be the mouse with the mode 'sleep'? I see no other option of power that is related to the USB.
    Any other ideas?

    Hello

    It seems that this issue has nothing to do with the material of laptops because it works fine on Win XP.
    As you say maybe external USB mouse causes this problem, and we must try to find out why it is happening

    In the BIOS, you can find the option called USB Sleep and fresh.
    Please disable it!

  • Satellite C650-1CN won't mode 'sleep'

    I have two Satellites with the same applications, it works perfectly, but it does not sleep. The old PC running Windows 7 32, the new PC running Windows 7 64 with Toshibas own power management utility.

    I tried to change the power management settings in Windows 7 and this has not solved the problem. The computer won't sleep on a network or in battery mode. The PC is a C650-1CN, bios has been upgraded to 1.5 and it has 4 M of RAM.

    Spoils a beautiful machine that is a good value.

    > The laptop don't pass in mode 'sleep'. The screen turns off but the PC does not sleep.
    > I can force the sleep using the function keys, by closing the lid or the start menu.

    Have you tried to change the different time for mode 'sleep'?
    How about processes that are running in the background?
    These running processes can prevent the notebook to access the mode 'sleep'.

    As you can see here on this screeshot, it s necessary to the configuration of the power plant.

  • Pavilion 15: Regulate the mode 'sleep'

    I want my laptop to go to sleep after a period of 5 minutes after that I close.  I visited the page (via the control panel) which indicates that the laptop goes to sleep when the lid is closed.  That's all set for me to 'PC world' when I bought - I don't know much about computers.

    I thought I want to tinker with how long it takes to get in mode 'sleep' well, so I went to 'Settings' > PC Info > food and sleep.   I noticed there are two sections: "Screen" and "Sleep".  When I changed numbers (i.e. after only 5 minutes on battery power "screen" goes off) in the "Screen" section, it is automatically changed the numbers in the section 'sleep '.  I don't understand.   Does relate ALL the fashionable 'sleep '?

    Why don't the parameters that I put in the article automatically applies to the 'Sleep' bit 'Screen '?

    I noticed that my battery is not lasting as long as he did a few months ago (and my computer is under a year old) so I'm eager to save the batteries.   What should I do?

  • Black screen HP Elitebook 850 after the mode 'sleep'

    Hello

    I have a HP Elitebook 850, which is about 3 weeks old. It is running Windows 8.1 with most of the HP software, which is available for this model, installed.

    Once the laptop goes into mode 'sleep' may not wake up for some reason any. The screen remains black and seeing everything seems normal. The only thing to do is either ctr + alt + delete to restart or shutdown forced by using the power button.

    Any ideas?

    Best regards

    Has exactly the same problem.  Called HP support.  They said that I needed to downgrade the video driver I was using.

    Specifically they asked me to check the version of the video driver first:

    1. Start screen, type "Device Manager" and then click to open Device Manager.
    2. In Device Manager, expand "graphics cards".  There were two shown:
      Radeon (TM) AMD HD 8500/8700 M M
      Intel(r) HD Graphics Family
    3. They asked me to double click on the graphics card Intel.  The dialog box properties open;
    4. On the tab driver properties dialog box, check the Version of the driver.  Mine was 10.18.10.3379.

    HP support and then asked me to download an older version of the driver, 10.18.10.3316.  Here's how:

    (1) on the laptop in question go to hp.com;

    (2) in the Help menu of hp.com, click Download drivers;

    (3) search by product: Enter 'Elitebook 850 G1' and press Go.

    (4) multiple results will come to the top, select the one that says 'HP EliteBook 850 G1 Base model Notebook PC';

    (5) to select the operating system: "Windows 8.1 (64-bit);

    (6) from the Index to download, select 'drivers - Graphics ';

    (7) tΘlΘcharger "Driver Intel video and control panel (International)" version 10.18.10.3316, November 15, 2013.  It's a big download, 158 MB.

    Once the download is complete, double-click the downloaded file to install it.  If you get a dialog box warning you install an earlier version of the driver that is currently installed, click Yes to continue.

    After you have installed the version 10.18.10.3316 driver, I restarted the laptop.

    To test whether the fix had worked I open a text editor and entered the text without saving it (it was to see if the unsaved document would still exist after that the laptop computer woke up from his sleep).  I then put the laptop to sleep by closing the form.  When I opened it again the light behind the power button has been slowly pulsed on and outside and the screen was black.  Based on the presented power button the laptop out of fashion 'sleep' and return to the lock for recording screen in.  Once connected, I found that the unsaved document was still open for the laptop had obviously just slept and rather than restarted rewoken.

    I hope this helps.

  • Win 7 Pro 64-bit restarts immediately after entering mode 'sleep'

    When my computer starts in mode 'sleep' it wakes you up in 2 or 3 seconds each time. I put all devices except the keyboard do not allow to wake up. I checked powercfg - lastwake and I get the following for the last wake-up device:

    USB\Root_HUB20\4 & 3021f81 & 0

    I tried to remove my external USB hard drive and he rewakes always after only 2 or 3 seconds. I have nothing else plugged into my USB ports. When I go to Device Manager and look at the tab for ads of hub power management root USB (2) they are not checked for to wake up.

    I use McAfee for my resident protection and he doesn't find anything. I ran an external analysis with eSet, who found nothing. I also ran a Malwarebytes scan which found nothing. SUPERAntiSpyware found some ad/tracking cookies that have been deleted.

    I did a system restore 8 days ago until I noticed that this problem and which did not solve the problem.

    Is there anything else I can do or check to try to solve this problem?

    Thank you.

    I put all the features "do not allow" as a result and now he's going to sleep.

    I'll ocnsider that this closed.

  • After entering the mode 'sleep', WIndows 8 occasioanlly stops.

    This happens rarely; only three times since the installation of Windows 8 about two months ago.  I use my computer on a regular basis and prefer to put in mode 'sleep'. Normally, the screen turns off first followed quickly by the computer go to sleep - in other words, all the lights and sounds of my Tower disappear and everything is happy.

    Sometimes after the screen stops normally, the computer takes about 5 seconds before the tower was asleep, before turning off. The delay is very sensitive. The next time I turn on my computer, it goes through the normal startup process (does not wake from sleep).  There is no error, BSOD or anything, but I lost all my previous session data as if I shut down the computer completely.

    I think I've identified the relevent event in Event Viewer.  The most recent is as follows:

    Log name: System
    Source: Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power

    User: SYSTEM

    The event XML:

    The two previous incidents are identical except the timestamp and BugcheckParameter4, the latest of which is:

    0xfffff88000c07e62

    If it helps, the 209 BugcheckCode in hexadecimal is 0x000000D1
    However, I couldn't find anyone get the same problem subsequently to spend in sleep mode, but then again I don't know much about this stuff ~

    Any help is appreciated. If there is any other information that you need, let me know what (and where). Thank you.

    Hi André,.

    The kernel power event 41 ID error occurs when the computer is off or it restarts unexpectedly. Starting a computer that is running Windows, a check is made to determine if the computer has been properly closed. If the computer was not closed properly, a kernel Power event 41 message is generated.

    I suggest you to refer to the article and check if it helps.

    Of core Windows event error ID 41 'the system has rebooted without cleanly close the first' in Windows 8, Windows Server 2012, Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2

    Please post back with the results and we will be happy to help you further.
