BlackBerry Smartphones move all Contacts from the SIM?

I'm changing to a 9700 for a 9790. I have a ton of contacts in the internal memory of the old phone and need to move all the way to the SIM card so I can pass the info on the new phone. Is there a way to copy all the contacts at once on the SIM card? Otherwise, I'll spend a week moving one by one.

Hi jgazolm

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums

Not on our smartphone BlackBerry you can not copy all Contacts from a SIM card at the same time, if you want to copy you make one because the BlackBerry address book is much more robust it will be a different arrangement with a resource person and several areas of information (phone cell phone, work phone, home phone, e-mail address, etc.) while the SIM card SIM card allows only one entry per phone number.

KB04205 : copy a Contact to your address book to the SIM phone.

You go from 9700 to 9790 option switch device Wizard will use BlackBerry Desktop Software it will transfer all your data from your old phone to the new.

KB23677 : How do I switch using BlackBerry Desktop Software devices.

    Hello

From your post, I'm not at all sure that you actually tried that did not work. Therefore, see:

    large.

If the part 'daft' just so that you know and understand... your address book contains addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, birthdays, etc.

Your SIM card will ONLY hold a name by phone number... And thus limited.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones DELEATING ALL CONTACTS ON THE PHONE LIST

Is it possible to remove the entire list of contacts in my address on my bb8110 box?

Use BlackBerry Desktop Manager. Open backup and restore and select the advanced option. Select the address book database, then select Delete.  There is no recovery if you delete the wrong database. You can create a first backup just to be sure.

  • Remove contacts from the Sim

Palm Pre does not make me remove contacts from the SIM card, any ideas?

To remove a contact from your SIM you would open the contact you want to delete, select Edit, you will see a picture of a SIM card next to the SIM contact in question, drag to the right on this point and then click on remove, then choose done.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not get contacts from the Sim Card.

I just bought a Blackberry Bold 9780 and put my current sim card in it to copy my contacts in. However, this is not the case - that one or two contacts copied when all of my contacts have been permanently recorded on the sim card. My Blackberry bolt ons have not yet been activated (not sure if this is relevant). Would appreciate any help, thank you.

Open your address book > press Menu > SIM Phone Book > press the Menu key again > copy everything to the address book

  • When you import contacts from the sim data are all put under the wrong labels. Is there a way to avoid / repeat this

The data on my phone is an example: it took my familyname as my name as a phonenr. And my phone number as an email address. So far I've found the manual update as a solution. It would be less painful to set on a desk somehow...

In my case, it did not recognize same contacts on my SIM card.

If you have contacts in vcard format, with export/backup to memory card on an old phone, or under sync your desktop and exported from there, you can use vcardin on the market to import vcards from a memory card.

The phone still has tons of problems/bugs related to contacts; You cannot batch delete, for example. Many of these issues are already fixed in newer versions of Firefox OS, and others are included in the road map.

For now, this solution took my 800 + contacts more or less correctly loaded.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones lost all contacts during software update

Hey I've just updated v4.6 on my "BOLD" and now I can not find my contacts... info calendar and Outlook still there but all my contacts were lost... Help!

    Thank you

    Hello and welcome!

Depending on how you did the update, it may have created a backup file on your PC. If you did the update via attached USB on your PC (for example, no OTA), search your hard drive for a file with an extension of the RPI (*.ipd). Inspect the results (date/time of the file) and choose the one to use in the restore. Then, run the DTM software and perform a selective restore:

If you update OTA or skipped the backup office during the update, then I'm sorry for your loss, but there is nothing to do.

    Best.

  • Help blackBerry 10! My contacts from the directory are missing

I upgraded my software to 10.2.1.2102 bb10 and I just noticed her 4 days now and all the contacts in the phone book disappeared. How can I get it please. I've never used the blackberry for the backup link. But I backed up my 9800 lost data. I see that on blackberry protect Web site.
How can I restore/fix this problem. Am frustrated

OK, if you press Contacts > all.

Pull down on the screen to display the total contacts above, what is the number?

If you open Protect on your Z10, you'll see it will allow you to perform a restore of the Z10 Protect time.

  • BlackBerry smartphones copy a Contact at the company

The duplication of a Contact at the company to another person from the same company should be possible... I think that - which does not help the BB tour (only minor changes to an existing company Contact individual would be required to create a Contact for a different person from the same company, is to say, the new individual name, post a few changes phone # and a couple of e-mail address field changes... everything else is identical to the Contact).

I searched here the text of the object (obtained 0 results), then pulled the 'society' (this time I got 30 results), however, nothing jumped on me like an appropriate response.

Can do what I'm trying to do?

Or, should all be entered again (or caillet & would be) in (to) a new form of Contact?

    Thank you, FFF

    Hello

There is no function, on the BB, to copy a contact set item to a new article and then make changes thereto. But, if you synchronize for a computer desk or PIM (-), it is a simple matter indeed!

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not disconnect from the email it Please HELP

I got the phone from a friend at work and I took it for the sprint and he was handed to zero and all, but I still get emails from the last email from people, and he sends letters electronic that too. HELP PLEASE!

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

While the BB has been reset, the BIS (Blackberry Internet Service) account was not. BIS is that control e-mail accounts that are part of the BB. A feature of BIS, is that, when a BB is reset, BIS pushes down messaging configurations. So, what should happen is that your friend needs to talk to Sprint and have the account BIS also reset, erasing the integrated e-mail accounts. Oh and by the way the account on you so that you can set up your own email on the BB.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones to backup contacts from my phone

    I have a Pearl 9105.

Sorry if this sounds very basic to you all, but I want to know specifically if my phone contacts list is backed up durng the "back-up process" when it is connected to my laptop.

If so, how could access to this list to load it on my portable device if I have a problem with the list of contacts in the future, for example if my handheld computer has a software or hardware failure. It's my second Pearl 9105 in three months and I lost all my contacts list when the first failed!

I tried to look in all so-called backup files on my computer laptop but can not open even they even less to see what's inside.

    Thank you

I tried to look in all so-called backup files on my computer laptop but can not open even they even less to see what's inside.

    Hello

These backup files are created to be backup copies. Their purpose is only to be restored on a device.

If you want to read their content, you will need to find applicaitions to third parties, like the ABC Amber BlackBerry Converter.

I need to spend all my mail from my yahoo address (* address email is removed from the privacy *) to another fast program. My husband settled and trying to remove me from the program. I don't want to lose all my mail. Please help anyone?

Yahoo is not a "program", this is a server.  If you want to moveservers - you get a new account first of all to a new server.

Does your husband know your password - you can change it now?

Sign in to your Yahoo email account from any Internet browser in the world of work and to change your password.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones uninstalled completely absent from the list of uninstalled App World app

    Hello

Recently, I uninstalled an application _by accident_, and now it has completely disappeared from the list even uninstalled my world.

When I go to the app in the App World, I see the app, but there is no icon to install or reinstall.

How to bring back the app?

    The app is http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/1222/

It should be "uninstalled" on this screen.

    1. open the App World
    2. go to my world
    3. to focus on the BB keyboard - hold down the ALT key and press "RST."
    4. If your BB locks after issuing clear cache, do a battery pull reboot

Now, back to AppWorld > MyWorld > uninstalled. It is now clearly listed and able to reinstall?

  • Ringtone to blackBerry Smartphones access to saved on the SIM card

I recently acquired a Blackberry Curve and kept my old number/SIM. Before inserting the SIM card, I saved a few rings on it and now can't access set as a rington.

Can someone help me out here?

    See you soon

Having had other 'games' I found how do:

Went to the advanced option menu button then the ringtone setting (normal, phone off, vibrate etc) button and show tunes. This takes me to the SD card, which I guess is my SIM card (or what was my SIM card in the old phone) and I can then select the melody to set like the ringing of the phone.

    Thanks for advice.
