BlackBerry smartphones no administrator, no. good time

I am in a group of blackberry with some friends and we have two problems.

First of all our administrator (we had only one) blackberry were damaged by water and if she had to get a new blackberry. So now, we can assign anyone to be the new administrator. I don't know if it fixed the phone water damaged or just thrown away, all I know is that she got a new phone.

Then our time message are inconsistent with our blackberry time IE if I type a message at 11:02 it appears as 02:02.

If anyone has any ideas on how we can solve these problems, I would be very happy.

Kari, been there who makes only a single user is the Admin group and leave the group.

If the old Admin is back with a new BlackBerry, they must always be in the group if they ever did a backup of OTA BBM and then restore the backup.

Otherwise, delete the group, or abandon it and start a new.

Once in the new group, assign Admin privileges to more than one user.

    Almost all carriers have BlackBerry devices locked through their network. Probably, in your case, 8700 is locked with TIM. You must unlock your device network.

    Interesting. I went just manually the phone 2 g (because I was doing a long call in a 3G area low and I didn't want to cut out), and when I turned it to 3G and 2G was back at the time of the network.

    Just type random password characters ten times... after the fifth or ninth attempt, you will be prompted to type the word "blackberry" so that you can see the password as you type and before the tenth incorrect test, you will be notified that the device will wipe itself all the data.

    just about everything that I try my blackberry can't load everything that needs internet, which is odd I used it just earlier today with success. I don't have a data plan, I use my home network.     Sorry to hear about the frustration!  If you have a red X as you encounter so you may have a problem with one of the five elements (in general): 1) the SIM card is dying; (2) software system on the phone is messed up; 3) there is something physically wrong with the phone. (4) your service provider is having a problem with their service (towers, stations, certain basic SIM cards have problems); or (5) your service provider is not a general problem, but a problem that applies to your account only.  Before contacting your service provider, you can also try pulling the SIM card and ensure that the contacts are clean.  If this is OK, then try your SIM card in another phone... is the OK signal on another phone?  Finally, if you are uncomfortable with him... reinstall the system software for your phone.  You should be able to access the website of your service provider and get the handheld to your phone software.  Even if you have the latest version of the software, you can reinstall again to correct the defects of the system.  If these steps do not help, it's the phone or your service provider.

    Honestly, a device security password is not necessary to protect.

    You can disable in Options > Security > password.

    I also recommend to download the operating system of your carriers site.  In this case, because you are with Verizon, you can access the download via this link: http://vzw.smithmicro.com/blackberry/download.aspx

    In the drop-down list, select BlackBerry Storm 9530 and in the next page, enter your mobile phone number and download the MR3 (OS 5.0) OS.

    Once you have downloaded on your computer, install, then open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager and first back up your phone.

    NOTE: Do NOT wipe to FORGET to RETURN to the TOP YOUR DATA in reloading your OS will all your phone data.

    If you wish, you can use the procedure described in the article provided by sdgardne, but if you want a BONE free reinstall method that I personally prefer now more trouble, you can use the steps I wrote here:

    Or the other method should work (apparently, I never tried the method of the KB article as it did not work in the previous version of the Desktop Manager software, but I have confirmed that the method I wrote doesn't work).

    However, for the time-out setting, it's something completely different and not really controllable by the end user. So, first question... are you part of a BES environment? If so, then check with your BES admins they control it.

    If you are not part of BES, then check this, you can:

    If there is an IT strategy and that you are not part of BES, so that that you got the device does not correctly clean up everything first. Reference:

    When I bought my Blackberry Torch 9800 (2 years), I managed (somehow) add text by giving my name, my 2 companies Web sites & so that it appears at the bottom of every outgoing e-mail.  At the same time, I've removed the text that says something like "message sent from my Blackberry".

    Now I need to change the message (& also want to restore it's my Blackberry because it is what explains a brief answer when necessary.)

    I don't think that I did all the settings on the mobile.  I think that this has been done "somehow" on my main computer.

    Any ideas?
