BlackBerry Smartphones SMS - how to show time SENT on incoming messages

When I receive SMS, it shows the date / time that I GOT from her, but NOT the time that someone SENT me. Is there a way to prove this?

When I turn on my phone in the morning, or have been out a signal & come it into range (often where I live), I can't say no when it was sent.

I searched the forums but did not see that this posted anywhere so apologies if it has already been.

Thank you very much

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but there is no way to do it on a BB. Time will be the time, he received on your BB. Finally, you get used to it.

I rebooted my phone from TONS of time... is there a way to reset the phone?

It comes from occurring as you face constraints of memory in your device. The low memory manager (LMM) is activated automatically when the flash available on the BlackBerry smartphone memory decreases less than 400 KB. Flash memory is used to store such as Messages, calendar, Contacts, tasks, Notepad BlackBerry smartphone applications and third-party applications.

    Perform the following steps-

    1. Give a soft reset by removing the battery for 30 sec.
    2. Check the amount of memory is free in your device to Options -> status -> free memory. To view all aspects of database go to Option -> status -> click on the Menu button and then select the database size

  • BlackBerry Smartphones sms display is not in order

until yesterday, my SMS to view format threaded with the last message at the bottom. Now, for some reason, it shows with my messages sent in order at the top of the screen and received messages at the bottom. I don't know if I've accidentally changed that with a shortcut key, but I would go back to threaded messages. No idea how to do this? I use a bold 9900

See there is no special settings to change, I have faced this problem and corrected by the 4th time of traction battery. So I would say that you pull out battery and keep out for 2 minutes and reinsert.

Ensure that the time zone is correct.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones SMS Backup-able?

Hello. I had a BB Bold 9650 for six weeks, and the 'o' key is out.  Verizon sent me a new free, but I have text messages that I really want to keep.  If I do a backup of my phone, which will exclude my texts or is it possible to save them for the transfer?

I am open to any downloadable software, with which I can save my texts.  But I checked my options in the SMS section and the inside of the text itself, and there seems to be no way to save these texts is to the card by e-mail, the PC or the media.

Would appreciate any input from anyone before I go ahead and switch phones.  I have maybe just live without "O" key and keep my existing phone.  Sounds crazy, I know, but I really want to save these.  There should be a way to save and transfer all back to the new, I hope.  Searched the web for two hours looking for it but no luck so far.  Thanks for any help you can offer.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

If you are always two devices by hand, then you can use the switch device Wizard:

Honestly I don't positive how specifically manages the SMS, but there are sections of your user manual that discussing it... You should also check here.

Also, you can manually back up your SMS database, and then I guess that try to restore:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones SMS full Notification - help please

I'm at my wits end with my Blackberry Torch 9810.  I have very little text messages in my Inbox, I lost the lot for some reason my phone has decided to change some date & in the future and trying to resolve that, in my opinion, I wiped everything, do not know what I did a few weeks ago, but they disappeared.

Now I get notifications that my SMS Inbox is full and I need to delete messages.  Can someone help me I have a lot of messages on the handset and cannot believe it is complete unless there is an option I need to select/deselect.  The user guide is useless.

I changed a parameter in the past as text messages seem to be endangered if they were in a month or so old, but all that I did I can't and don't know how to handle all my text messages myself.  My old iphone allowed me to keep the text as long messages I wanted with what appeared to be a very large storage area, now I just want to throw this thing in the bin.  Unfortunately I have 18 months remaining on my contract (business) so I can do nothing about it.

OK, not a lot of people very little. It is in memory of the device, but you are some of the SIM card, save too much.

Then... you must change this setting according to the instructions below.

Article ID: KB13465 "SIM card is full please delete SMS messages" appears on the BlackBerry smartphone

  • Problem with the blackBerry Smartphones SMS Inbox

I had problems with my Blackberry Torch 9860 sms Inbox.  The time and date that are on my phone are correct, but when I go to my sms Inbox, the date is showing that "May 22, 2043" and each message arrives at "12:08" no matter what time it really is.

    This is an easy fix?

    Thank you!

I ended up remove all the messages of this 'day', so he would not appear in the Inbox and now when I send or receive that he puts the messages in the right time.

I have nothing else it seemed to have settled himself.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

What you need to do is to find, on your PC, the IPD file created when you backed up. Search your entire hard drive *. IPD. Then use this file as the source of a restoration of your new BB (choose ONE of these KB, depending on the version of the RIM Desktop software you have already installed on your PC):

    • KB23680 How to back up and restore data from BlackBerry using BlackBerry Desktop Software 6.0 smartphone
    • KB10339 How to use BlackBerry Desktop Manager 4.3 to 5.0.1 to restore data from a BlackBerry smartphone from a backup file

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones SMS, unwanted replaced abbrv.

So when I SMS instead of the time I put just hr, but BB decides to replace h by time. It is not useful for someone like me who has sometimes long and want messages to be only a single text.

How should I do to make BB replace hr per hour?

    EDIT: solved myself.

I'll add it just in case where others are asking.

options, AutoText, then you will have to delete the one that transforms HR on time.

It is abit annoying to say the least! And if this isn't normal then someone at - it advice and assistance to put this right?

    Very appreciated

    Thank you

  • Problem blackBerry Smartphones SMS alert

    Hello

I have a blackberry torch 9860.It no more alerts not received text messages (SMS), I consulted the menu messaging and activated alerts in received messages (in all profiles) and still it does not give an alert when an SMS arrives and I have to manually access the SMS Inbox to see received messages.

I'll also take the opportunity to ask, I don't have the blackberry package in my blackberry mobile. So I can't access the internet even if I connect to a Wi - Fi network?

I thank all those who can help me.

Try a battery pull to fix the SMS problem. With your phone, remove the battery and then replace it.
You can always access the internet without BlackBerry data. Do a search for the Opera mini browser for surfing via Wi - Fi.

    See you soon.
