OK, I'm lost here, I tried it on several PC, same results - I'm never asked to install the Desktop Redirector for Outlook.

    I followed these instructions-

Step 9 never comes to the top. I selected 'work' - selected 'Outlook' then it bypasses step 9 and goes directly to the final stage. What I'm doing wrong here?

So much worse... apparently even thought the step never came, it was installed in the background.

  • BlackBerry smartphone Error 1402 install Blackberry Desktop Software on Windows7

When I try to install the software of blackberry 6.0.2 on my windows computer desktop 7, I get the following error:

    Error 1402.Could not open key:

UKNOWN\Components\ a bunch of numbers and letters\ a heap of number and letters

Check that you have sufficient access to that key or contact your support team.

I tried to find the key in regedit to modify permissions, and I couldn't find it.

The first time I tried to install it I don't think I right click and run as administrator. I've tried since then, but I don't know if this old key is always what stop.

I don't really know what to do next.

    Thanks for the help,

    Dan

You can solve this problem by running regedit and navigating to ""HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-1-5-18\Components " "

    1. Then search for the first registry key in your error. It would be the first string of numbers before a slash (/) forward.
    2. Then right-click on the key and select permissions.
    3. In the dialog box that opens, make sure that 'full control' and 'read' are selected for your 'User' and 'Administrators' accounts and apply the changes (if 'Administrators' and 'SYSTEM' are not in the list, you must 'Add').
    4. Click Advanced and check the check mark named 'replace all permissions of child object with permissions inheritable this object', then press 'Apply'. You can get an error, that's ok.
    5. Click on the owner tab and select "Administrators" in the list box, check the check mark, called 'replace the owner of subcontainers and objects', then press 'Apply '.
    6. You will need to repeat once more bullets 4 and 5, and you shouldn't get an error the second time.

Now, you need to repeat the process for the second series of numbers which will be located inside the first key when you turn open it is arrow.

I hope this helps. I got the error on 2 different keysets popup. The third time that I have installed the software, I had no errors.

    Good luck

  • BlackBerry smartphone how to install the new language? == > french

By mistake I delete all my blackBerry Bold 9900 formulations.

    Rest than English.

I would add yet another language ==> french example...

In desktop software, I don't have in Applications: "Language and support of entry" to choose...

Hello and welcome to the community!

The easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):

    (1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below.

    2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

    (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

    (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

    • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.
    • Use this KB to help you choose the good alternative OS to include the language you want:
      • Article ID: KB05305 Location of support for BlackBerry smartphones

    5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

6 (a) to change your level of BB OS installed (at level or lower), you can run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC.

6 (b) or, for recharging your BB OS level installed as well to change, work around the Desktop software and use the CHARGER. EXE directly, through step 2 in this process:

If, during the process of 6a or 6 b, your BB has an error '507', simply unplug the USB of the BB cord and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue. During the process, when it presents you with the screen of the things Application Loader to install on your device, make sure to develop options and select all items that relate to your desired language.

Once the operating system is loaded, you can proceed with the activation of the language you want and restoring your backup (on the device).

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones not able to get my phone to work unless in safe mode

There are two problems I see. Yesterday, I've updated througn Office of BB online. I have now deleted the BB 7.1.0 CoreApplications four times. When I start my phone one of the two things happening. I can enter my password, but when I hit the key enter the phone crashes and will only go to safe mode. The second thing that happens is it accepts my password, but immediately the following message - Eception Exception: Java.Lang.Error there is an option to click OK but when I get my BB freezes. I have installed and uninstalled all languages twice, I restarted a dozen times or more, I reinstalled a version more ancient dating back months and not seen no change to these questions. I can work the phone in safe mode, but this isn't a solution. I find this very frustrating. I would also like to be able to talk to a human being on this subject but can't find a number on your website. A WTF happening? I'm about to launch this phone in the tray and get an IPhone!

Hello and welcome to the community!

I think that you may need to perform a clean reload OS... from your post, I can't quite tell if you did that.

Please visit this official download portal as you go along. If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

From a PC, you can install any compatible OS package (for example, for your BB model exact number) of a BB via this procedure:

Note Although written to "recharge" and the storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade or recharge any BB device model - depends on the operating system package you download and install on your PC. After installing the operating system on your PC package, please remember to remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC.

Don't forget that you remove, since your PC, any other BB OS devices as packages with more than one installed on the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.

You can also study the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe what he is capable.

You can also try the "skeleton OS Reload procedure" in an attempt to circumscribe the precise causal element:

    1. Load your OS "bare bones"... If everything is optional, do not install it.
    2. If the behavior is immediately, then try another OS with step 1
    3. If the behavior does not immediately, then run for as long as necessary to make you to be sure that the behavior will not occur.
    4. Add one more thing - no matter how tempting, one.
    5. If the behavior does not immediately present, and then runs for long enough to be sure he won't have the same problem
    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are responsible or the behavior presents

When the behavior shows up, you know the culprit... the last thing you have loaded.

If the behavior doesn't re-present, then you know that step 1 or 2 cured it.

If the behavior has anything, then you have probably a problem of material level for which no amount of OS or software can heal.

You may also use these tips:

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

Please refer to this information, which is at the top of each page on this site:

Contractually, BlackBerry cannot provide any support from first line for nothing. All support first line begins with mobile service providers, to the place of origin of purchase or an authorized service center (it varies according to the region and the specific question). When you bought your device and the services, you should have been informed about your methods of formal support... If you weren't, you need to check your place of origin of purchase or your service provider mobile as to what those who are for you.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BB ID vs Desktop Manager.

Hi all. first of all, sorry for the bad English (I'm Italian).

    Firmware 7.1.0.714 (operator Wind Italy).

yesterday, I opened the Blackberry App World. He opens and invites me to update to Blackberry World (ok, the link to the site, download, install).

then I restarted and opened the world of Blackberry. It opens and invites me to update the Blackberry ID. Once again, successful update.

everything ok, but when I put all my phone (new applications, contacts/photos/music of the old...) I plug the 9320 for the Blackberry Desktop Manager for a backup and uninstall applications.

Blackberry Desktop Manager show upward with a pending (see the screenshot) operation: reinstall some 'old version' of "necessary software." the issue is that is NOT possible to turn off this operation. It reinstall the OLD BB ID, then the BB world would install the ID of the NEW BB Desktop Manager to reinstall the OLD...

    How can be fixed that?

on the desktop software, there is an option for him would not not to make the automatic updates. I suggest that you uncheck this option.

If you want to keep this option is checked, then you must install on your PC, the latest version of the OS for your 9320. Contact the wind if need is, you should be able to download it here:
