    Hello

    Please clarify - you nave never installed all Desktop software? If so, that would prevent using BBSAK or JLCmder... both require the basic BB drivers must be installed and those that are installed on your PC during the installation of the desktop software. Therefore, the installation of the desktop software is a prerequisite for the use of any other utility.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Black Berry Torch 9800 Hard Lock

    Hi gentlemen,

    I have Black Berry Torch 9800. I put the MEP Code more of 10 times incorrectly. Now, the phone does not accept any SIM. I think that the phone was hard locked by the manufacturer. Please tell us how do I remove hard phone lock so I can use any network...

    Hope to receive your reply soon,

    Best regards

    Mohammed Ramzan

    Hello and welcome to the community!

    Please see this thread useful to start:

    If you have exhausted all your chances to enter the correct unlock code, is there nothing more, that you can do. Even if you happen to have the right code now, it is useless. Only the factory can now (legally) unlock your BB. In general, I've heard that the cost of having BlackBerry do this for you will be higher than the cost of just buying a new. But, you are able to ask them... see here:

    Note, however, that this process will begin with a tax...

    If you obtained your unlock code from somewhere, but it was incorrect, that your remedy could be with them - however, they may well wonder why you exhausted all 10 attempts before contacting them.

    If your BB was already locked MEP and you got it from a source that represents as that can be unlocked, then your recourse would be with the seller that you got it.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphone Email Sync Torch 9800

    I am completely new to Blackberry, so please excuse if there is a fundamental (obvious) answer to my question. I'm trying to sync my Torch 9800 for MS Outlook 2010. E-mail messages are appearing on the torch, but I expect that when I delete it from Outlook, they should also remove the torch? And also when I open an item in Outlook, it should appear as open on the phone? Surely not too much to ask?

    I looked at the manual and it says to go to Blackberry Desktop software, go to the organizer and work from there. But the only choice I have in the Organizer are calendar, address book, Notepad and tasks. No email? I have my calendar and address book sync when I connect perfectly!

    Any ideas? Thank you

    There are two levels of BlackBerry services: BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) and BES (BlackBerry Enterprise Service). You obviously have the personal service of BIS, which do not reconcile mail and messages to Outlook.

    By connecting the USB cable to your PC and run the Desktop software, you can synchronize your contacts, calendar, notes and tasks.

    Now, that said, some email (like Gmail) IMAP accounts will reconcile the deletions and read the indicators for the email server and to your handheld, and THEN depending on how your Outlook 2010 interacts with your e-mail server, you may or may not be able to reconcile these same changes in your messages to your Outlook.

    Welcome to the forums, melora!

    First of all, we will make sure that your browser by e-mail and the calendar entries are the same e-mail that you configured in Outlook.

    On your home screen, click the Options icon.  From there, go to device > Adanced configuration > default Services.  Check if those who correspond to your Outlook email address.

    Then you'll want to do a clean Desktop Manager uninstall.  Make sure you restart your PC after that you did.

    Then you will reinstall the Desktop Manager software, you can get here.

    Once you have installed new, go here for instructions on how to configure Desktop Manager to synchronize with Outlook.  You'll want to scroll through the instructions for DM 6.0 and higher.

    I hope this helps!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Can not decline, ignore or delete an invitation unwanted BBM on the Torch 9800

    I received an invitation BBM a stranger. I can't deny, ignore or delete this unwanted BBM invitation on the Torch 9800. I t is highlighting options, but when I select the options, nothing happens, and the invitation is still there.

    Any message may be removed or reduced, but not this specific one. (It is sent by a person in Thailand)

    Virus can be sent via the guest on the BBM? How can I get rid of this unwanted invitation on my BB Torch?

    If there is such a thing as a virus of BlackBerry, I guess it could be sent in this way, but there isn't.

    Remove the battery while your phone is on, then replace it.  Then see if you are able to remove it.

  • BlackBerry smartphones, what's up with the Torch 9800 OS 6.0.0.747

    Hello again!
    Is someone can you please tell me what is the new update OS of the Torch 9800? I use 9800/6.0.0.246 bundle 695. I want to upgrade my OS to 6.0.0.747 (my first upgrade - if ever), but first of all, I want to know what has been added to the old operating system. Thank you!

    An upgrade of this nature is generally bug fixes. If your device works well for you, there is no need to upgrade. You won't get all the new features.

    Hello and welcome to the community!

    I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

    It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

    If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

    But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

  • "Détarer" problem with the Torch 9800/Device Simulator

    Hello everyone,

    Im a very strange problem with the Torch 9800 (OS 6).

    I have an application developed with 5.0 SDK. Throughout the process of synchronization of this app, there is a point he gets a. tar.gz file that is unziped. For this purporse (in fact, the tar part / "détarer"), we use a tar / "détarer" 'library' we found here in the forum (http://code.google.com/p/j2metar/). This library works fine in all phones with OS 5.0 that we try and even on the simulators of somo 6.0.

    But there seems to be a problem with the torch. During the uncompress, there are an exception, because what is the reading of the structure of the tar (from the industry), load the bytes that are invalid, corrupt, dirty, memory, and it fails.

    The strange thing of all is that if I have only the routine détarer to the file (in the torch), it works! But when I run all my sinchronization, which open and close httpconnections and process the file on some points (sometimes the same point, others of different) fails.

    My question is... are at - it a known bug, issue, etc. with the BONE of the torch (touch device)? Of course, the first thing that jump to mind is "my code is incorrect, memory leaks (in Java, but perhaps odd that a stream was not getting close properly)" and so on, but I can't seam to find the problem. And like I said before, this application works fine with the same file tar.gz in other devices like the 8520 OS 5, 9780 OS 6, 8900 (OS 5).

    IM completely stuck with this problem and any help/test will be greatly appreciated.

    Here some code, the method that makes him détarer and calls the détarer/tar library:

    public static boolean "détarer" (String tarFileUrl, String destUrl) bird Exception {}

    FileConnection fconn = null;
    FileConnection tarFileConn = null;
    TarInputStream tis = null;
    Boolean bRet = false;

    try {}
    fconn = (FileConnection) Connector.open (destUrl, Connector.READ_WRITE);
    If (! fconn.exists ())
    fconn.mkdir ();   Create the folder if it does not exist
    fconn. Close();
    fconn = null;

    Create a TarInputStream
    tarFileConn = (FileConnection) Connector.open (tarFileUrl);
    TIS = new TarInputStream (tarFileConn.openInputStream ());
    tarFileConn.close ();

    Entry TarEntry;
    int count;
    data Byte = null;

    While ((input = tis.getNextEntry ())! = null) {}
    Count = 0;
    data = new ubyte [2048];

    fconn = (FileConnection) Connector.open (destUrl + entry.getName (), Connector.READ_WRITE);
    If (! fconn.exists ())
    fconn. Create();   create the file if it doesn't exist
    else {}
    fconn. Delete();    Create a new
    fconn. Create();
    }

    OutputStream os = fconn.openDataOutputStream ();

    While ((count = tis.read (data))! = - 1) {}
    OS. Write (data, 0, count);

    }

    OS. Flush();
    OS. Close();

    fconn. Close();
    fconn = null;

    }

    TIS. Close();
    TIS = null;

    bRet = true;

    } catch (Exception e) {}
    e.printStackTrace ();
    throw e;
    } {Finally
    try {}
    If (tis! = null)
    TIS. Close();
    If (tarFileConn! = null)
    tarFileConn.close ();
    If (fconn! = null)
    fconn. Close();
    } catch (Exception e) {}
    }

    Return bRet;
    }

    Thank you!

    Santiago.

    Hello

    It is a problem with the OS 6.  I've posted about this before here:

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/Java-development/reading-and-writing-file-on-torch-9800/TD-p/...

    Basically, corruption may occur if you write to the stream simultaneously in different threads.  The solution is to ensure that a single file operation is occurring at a given time.  Some people have had the chance to control the size of the buffer to something as a multiple of (64 * 1024)-1. e.g. 65535.  In addition, you can rinse after each write to the buffer.  I have had no luck with this, but others.  If you look at the bug in JIRA, there is also no activity on this:

    https://www.BlackBerry.com/jira/browse/JAVAAPI-1513

    Good luck!
