BlackBerry Smartphones Outlook 2007 and storm Sync?

Previously, I had a Dell Pocket PC and used Microsoft's ActiveSync through an abridged version Outlook. I bought a storm through Verizon and tried to sync Outlook with the storm. I kept getting the window... "Run-time error. Value of the option is unacceptable. Please check the properties option. "I went through Setup with Verizon Tech Support. Which included the restart of the storm. They have abandoned and referred me to Blackberry.

I have since removed the Outlook 2002 including all .pst files hidden that I could find. I installed Microsoft Office 2007 and started again. Same problem, same error!

I don't think there is a problem with the BB Desktop Manager configuration. Between Verizon and I have, it seems, that attempted to apply the possibilities.

I would be very grateful for any suggestions. I'm out of ideas.

Thank you

Biofocals,

Thank you for your help. "Do you know your stuff'.)) I did as you suggested and the sync performs perfectly. Again, thank you for your help.

I found that appointments which not WERE DO NOT sync were those who were on my shared - calendar that could have thunk? I don't put them on the shared calendar-, but they were there and they do not synchronize.

Once I moved them to my personal calendar, they sync up perfectly.

  • Sync contacts blackBerry Smartphones Outlook 2007/Desktop 5.0

I am a relatively new user of Blackberry (4 months).  I sync my Blackberry Curve 8330 with Outlook 2007 on a windows using Blackberry Desktop v 5.0.  While the right of the logic of the calendar synchronization, the contacts are not.  It seems that when I sync Outlook to the Blackberry, it just seems to ADD contacts, rather than MERGE them.  You can imagine that it means that the number of contacts on my Blackberry keeps on growing, with obvious duplicates.

Note: I don't '1 way', that I need not change on my contacts on the Blackberry transfer to Outlook.  It's a one-way street.  In addition, I know the work around - from time to time, I'm doing a "replace contents" when I synchronize so that all of the contacts on the Blackberry are deleted and new Outlook contacts are transferred.  Because I have about 4000 contacts, he is a rather slow process, and I don't want to do it every time.

    Thank you.

Thank you.  That "reset" seemed to have worked.   We'll see after I do some modifications, etc.

  • BlackBerry smartphones my contacts and calendar sync wireless, how can I change this to do with outlook

My contacts and calendar sync wireless, how can I change this to do with outlook

Hello and welcome to the community!

    1. In the real Contacts and Calendar applications, check the options for them and make sure wireless synchronization is disabled.
    2. Then check the configuration of e-mail BIS ensure that also has many Contacts and calendar sync turns off.
    3. Finally, if your actual data are already completely in Outlook, you must destroy the databases on the BB and then enable synchronization with Outlook (who will first do a one-way synchronization, subsequently, it will be 2-way).

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Outlook 2007 calendar will not sync with BB 8350i

Hello, I really need help.  I tried everything I can think of to solve the problem.  I have the 8350i Nextel, just recently it stopped syncing with my outlook calendar.  Everything in outlook sync very well.  I went into my BB desktop to sync settings manager, I have reset and it still does not work.  I does not synchronize either, and I have it configured to synchronize both ways.  I disabled phone and out of the battery for a few minutes and restarted my computer.  I would be very happy if someone can help.

  • Sync Blackberry with Outlook 2007 on Vista

Hello. A brief introduction before my question. Recently, I tried Outlook to XP on my computer which uses Vista and I was not able to sync Outlook with my Blackberry curve calendar. I looked at Outlook 2007 and it is certified for use on Vista, so I expect that my blackberry should synchronize with outlook. My question is; has anyone who uses the OS Vista and Outlook 2007 has sync issues? Thank you

    HELO papabear72,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.

I checked several Forums Blackberry and Outlook forums and you should be able to sync without problem.
You will need to install Blackberry Desktop manager and synchronization with Outlook 2007. I saw where it syncs with Outlook 2010 beta.

There may be some problems for some people with the Outlook calendar.
You can check the forum Blackberry here or by mail to the Outlook forum listed above.

It is one of the only two blackberrys in the Agency (and likely to stay at this rate), so BES installation is not an option.  Outlook works fine, we deleted then recreated the Outlook profile and the sync folder in the folder settings for the application - no luck.

Is there something in particular that must be set on the server Exchange to enable the Blackberry communicate with her?  The specific services that should be running?  The Blackberry is replacing a Nokia that synchronized without problems on the same Exchange Server.

Thanks for your responses and suggestions.

Here are a few KB dealing with this message:

    • KB11951 Unable to get data from a Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Exchange Record. Lack of access to the network for MS Exchange Server can cause this problem.
    • KB01172 Error 'Unable to get a folder Outlook or Microsoft Exchange' when syncing with BlackBerry Desktop Manager

Just a small clarification here - there is never any direct communication between a BB and the Exchange Server. All require ducts (BIS/OWA, BES, Desktop Redirector).

Good luck and let us know!

  • Outlook 2007 and Acrobat 9 questions

    Hello

My company, so I work is a company of XP with a mix of desktop computers 03 and 07 2010. We have recently been affected by a problem this week where if an employee with Outlook 2007 and Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard views a pdf from our site ftp from Internet Explorer, click on the email button on the Adobe IE extension to send the PDF as an attachment, and then when he tries to send the e-mail, it will bring up the 'the messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem persists, restart outlook"error. This happened more than 15 people in my company this week. All of these employees have in common is that they are running Office 2007 and Adobe Acrobat 9. I tested with Outlook 2010 and was able to send the attachment fine. We use google apps sync to synchronize our mail, no Exchange. I also noticed that if you save the pdf file open on your computer such as your office and then attach it as an attachment he send fine e-mail. It brings only the error message when you try and you send an attachment through the adobe Internet Explorer extension or if you open acrobat itself and go to file-> Send to the email it will be also the same message as well. I looked online and everyone says that this error has to do with a .pst file. I even tried to recreate the PST on one computer of people and has no good. The only thing that changed this week is that we use Cerberus to our ftp server and we have improved this week in the latest version, but I'm having a hard time to see that as the guilty seeing that employees have access to view the pdf file, they should have access to email. I tried to reinstall both Office 2007 and Acrobat 9, thinking that maybe an update of one of the programs was the issue, but that has not changed the error either. I posted this on the Microsoft forums think as well it is a certain type of problem of compatibility between the two, but these computers have worked at least one year like this and it is just now becoming a problem. If anyone has any suggestions, I would gladly hear their. I'm running out of ideas of what could be the cause. Thank you for your help.

I thought about it. It ended up being our Kaspersky Anti virsus Outlook Add-in has been the cause of the error. Once I have disable the add-in, it put electronic pdf via adobe well.

  • BlackBerry smartphone Outlook 2003 calendar will not sync with the storm

A couple of weeks my Outlook calendar (2003) has just stopped syncing with my Blackberry Storm. I have Vista. I was on the phone with Telus and they tried to help me, but nothing has worked.  I downloaded the new software for my Blackberry; I rebooted the Desktop Manager (version 5); I recharged Outlook. I tried to synchronize just a few days.   I loaded the Desktop Manager on another computer and that no longer works.  Tasks and Contacts will be synchronized, but not the calendar.  It turns on, said "wait a minute", and then stops without doing anything.  No error message.  After reading the other rivers, I wonder if the AEFI is corrupt (but have no idea what it is or where it is).  I also noticed that I have more "default device" as one of the options 'Send' - just Facebook and my email address (but have no idea how to get this option).  I worked on it for hours without success.  Any help would be appreciated.

I finally called the Blackberry technical support service and they solved my problem.  I had remove databases (because there was probably a corrupted entry) and remove the books of CICAL service on the device.  Thanks for the comments.

  • Sync of Smartphones blackBerry with outlook 2007

I'm able to sync with Outlook 2007.  If I add a number to my phone, it will be added to my contacts in outlook.  However, this is only one way.  If I add contacts in outlook (addresses, phone numbers or e-mail address) that they won't sync to my phone. Any suggestions?

You must change sync settings to allow two-way, synchronization of Desktop Manager. In the clock go to configure > synchronization > sync. Run the wizard for the calendar... a step defines synchronization for two way synchronization and should get everything up and running as you want.

  • E-mail blackBerry Smartphones Outlook and BB not wireless sync. The BES.

    Hello

I recently changed from seven years of Windows Mobile to BB. I am on a BES and the changes I make on the prospects to your desktop or Blackberry (Bold) are not synchronization in both directions. It's frustrating. My COMPUTER helpdesk advised me to "clean up" the BB a couple of times and we did it. Also my manager office of BB is not configured for synchronization as by their advisor who they explain everything is wireless.

It of frustrating and makes me think how it was easy with Windows mobile. Help, please.

    Thank you.

Your BES admins should work on the issue of synchronization.

For the issue of the separate boxes of Messages, see this...

By default, BES email is made only in posts emails BIS icon/App are placed in their own icons, but they are still contained in the main Messages application. This is how it works by default. It is not redundant - rather, think that Messages like the Tote place, with the BIS independent icons being a filter, traction (from message) to them only messages that relate to them... but if you act on an e-mail (read, delete, etc.) in one, the change will be reflected in the other.

Your BES Admin can push an E-mail BES icon only to your device. This solution is free, but must be conducted at the level of the BES server and will affect all users on the BES server.

    • KB15003 How to create an icon on the BlackBerry smartphone to BlackBerry Enterprise Server messages

Or you can get the application to empower BES Inbox. This solution costs (per user), but does not require a change at the server level and affects only a single user.

Neither solution would do anything on Messages - will continue to contain what it contains today. All they will do is activate an additional icon on your home screen that is a filter for your BES emails only. You can hide or move the Messages icon/app out of the way, but beware - there are more that just the emails that arrive in Messages... it will come a day when you have a new message indicator and only by digging through Messages that you will be able to find this message.

Or, if you have the correct device OS version (I know for sure it works on 5.0.0.32 8 of the storm), the device gives you options for what to display in Messages and you can remove BIS email accounts.

I hope this helps explain how it all works!

    Good luck!
