BlackBerry Smartphones, sending emails

Bob

Hello and welcome to the community!

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

1) register HRT

  • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
  • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

2) Remove and return Service books (pre-BB10 only devices)

  • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
  • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
  • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
  • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

3) restart

  • Pre-BB10 ONLY devices. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
  • Peripheral BB10. Hold the top button until the counter reaches zero. Wait for the unit to be completely stopped (for example, nothing appears on the screen, no lights, etc.). Hold the top button until the red light. Wait through the entire boot process. IF this fails, you can try the method of battery-pull above, but it is normally NOT recommended unless nothing else works.
  • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your configurations for the relevant accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones sending Emails using different addresses

I use gmail and I have all of my other addresses before their mail to my gmail account. However saw only my gmail on my blackberry account I cannot respond to the messages by using the e-mail address they were sent too. This example gets confused professors sometimes when they send something to a school email address and get a response from a very different gmail address. Is there a way I can just receive e-mails from my account gmail on my blackberry but still send emails using all my addresses. Help, please.

    No, not exactly.

One, your system to redirect other accounts on the single account is not the best set upward after all. You could have all of his accounts pushed directly to the unit, unless there is some overiding issue prevents you from doing it. This configuration would allow ease of response from the same account to which it was sent.

On a BlackBerry, he will answer ONLY to the account to which the e-mail was sent. You can't change that, and we can 'send using' an e-mail account, you have pushed to the device, which is logical.

However, in your configuration of BIS, where you have enabled the gmail pushed to your BlackBerry, you can define a section of ' answer to "where you can enter your school account, or whatever that you choose. This will not change the sending account, but it will give an appropriate response to the address.

  • Q10 blackBerry cannot send email from my Q10 without wi fi

When I'm away from my wifi e-mails can be received but not sent.  My email address is by Cogeco and Rogers is wireless network.  Or to say that they can help me.  Rogers stated that Cogeco and Rogers do not connect together, and that the previous software used by Blackberry has been changed.  This makes my useless email so on the road.  A blackberry should send emails!  I don't know whether to believe Rogers or not!  They said there is a fix, but it would make my BB cannot send e-mails while I'm at home.  This situation will be resolved by Blackberry?

Hello and welcome to the community!

    Reference:

    • KB33824 How to integrate a Cogeco e-mail on a smartphone BlackBerry PlayBook or BlackBerry 10

Carefully note the information at the bottom of this KB... the problem is with Cogeco, not the BlackBerry. I suspect the fix they mentioned is to use Cogeco outside facing SMTP servers, which may not be accessible when you're home (e.g., Cogeco system "inside").

A different difficulty would be to abandon Cogeco for an email provider that allows you indeed appropriate access to their servers of e-mail from all locations. You could put a redirector on Cogeco to this other email provider.

    Hello

Does anyone know if it is possible to send HTML from a Blackberry Torch connected to BES Express V5.0.1.4 and if so, how you activate it?

No, BlackBerrys only send emails based text, not HTML.

They do receive and display the HTML code.

  • E-mail settings blackBerry Smartphones Send for smartphone via service messages?

    Nice day

Is it possible to send email to a blackberry phone settings via a form of service for the user to phone message doesn't have to configure it manually?

We recently had to reinstall our Exchange Server and are now having to modify the e-mail settings on all our employees members of the phone, however, some of these members of staff are not in the same city that I.T. support and that the staff are not very literate computer/smartphone members, it will be difficult for us to guide them on how to change the e-mail settings especially if Autodiscover does not report the settings correctly on the phone and domain/server settings must be entered manually.

A member of staff in particular, has a Blackberry curve 9300.

Any suggestion will be appreciated as we would prefer, as well as in the future, be able to update phones with the necissary through a form parameters any service message rather than error prone manual intervention.

    Concerning

OK... so the answer is, well, maybe. It will require compromises your safety ethic.

A way of doing what you want to connect in the BIS users account on their Web of BIS carrier site and configure the email account it... the fact, of course, would require you to know the credentials of BIS users. Of course, that would also require that the carrier does have such a site... not all do.

Another way would ring up the carrier users the identity of the user and the carrier agent to configure the e-mail account.

If the employer provides the user devices such as service plan, then I guess the compromise of security required is lower because, technically, two belong to the company, not the user. But, if what are BYOD devices and/or the carrier account does she belong to the employer, then you'd be in essence hack on behalf of users to achieve.

    Hey Shirewood,

    Welcome to the forums.

You can have a database of the book service corrupt on your BlackBerry smartphone.

The first thing you want to do is clear the Service book database on the device by using the following article.

Then return the service book and test with a new email to see if you are still experiencing the same issues.

  • BlackBerry smartphones compose emails

So I've always had my Gmail account set up on my phone, but for some reason, when I go to answer an email or compose a new, I get a message that says "no e-mail service not configured. You will be redirected to the Setup Assistant to configure your e-mail account. "So I click 'ok', and then he said: 'no message service not configured. You will be able to save the draft. "I clearly have my account set up because I get these emails on my phone and my e-mail address is listed under my email accounts, so I have no idea what is wrong. I even re-entered my password, but that didn't seem to do anything. I would like to know if anyone has any ideas - thanks!

  • BlackBerry® Z10 sending email from my account POP on a Z10

My Torch 9800 has no email sending the problem through my Shaw.ca email accounts.  BIS manages perfectly.  Now that the BlackBerry abandoned on BIS, how can I send emails via my Shaw account when they do not allow connections to their SMTP server from outside their network?

I'm not go to their webmail system Regional service that ends up being a nightmare on my desk.

    Thank you.

That was my thought as well.  I'll just stay with what I have.  I don't want to just move to a free email service, and then discover a day as BIS, is also takes the way of the Dodo bird.

I was looking forward to an upgrade, but between that and the problems of synchronization from Office Outlook I think I'll stick with the 9800.

  • BlackBerry smartphones address email and password

My Blackberry Torch was stolen recently.  Now that I got my new camera and everything seemed to work OK.  I received emails addressed to it and who is "pushed".  I tried to download an app and had my Blackberry ID need I entered.  She would not accept my new password - so I asked to reset - but the email they were supposed to be sent to my blackberry address did not!  Does anyone have ideas, what can I do now?

Oh okay Ouch, the using the blackberry.net email account is not good. These emails cannot be found or read any where, but on the BlackBerry smartphone.

Personally, I never recommend using blackberry.net for this main reason e-mail accounts.

My best suggestion is to get a gmail or yahoo account for free and create a whole new BlackberryID.

Then, call your mobile operator Orange and ask them to bring this problem to RIM level two level tech support and get your old account merged or moved to the new BlackBerryID.

Yes, it's complicated. But it's the only way I see possible... all this because of the password reset. Yuck, indeed.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Whenever random strange behaviors creep, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

If this does not help, try these things (in order).

  • BlackBerry Smartphones read emails on Blackberry are not marked as read in GMail

    Hi all

I just upgraded to the 9650 the 8530 and after serious problems finally got so that I could read my emails.

The problem I have now is that on one of my gmail accounts does not seem to recognize when I read an email via my blackberry. Previously on my 8530 (and before that, the 8330), seconds after that I read an email on my blackberry, it'll show such as read on the gmail website.

Either way, I don't have this problem with my second g-mail account.

Thank you in advance for your help!

BIS has been receiving a lot of updates for GMail... even a plugin on the BB which is supposed to improve the functionality even further. Unfortunately, I chose to use GMail for my BB, so I don't have direct experience with integrated BIS GMail how would work. But, I would say that, like all things financial, past not a good indicator of what it now takes performance would give any changes that have been for GMail via BIS. ;-)

It is quite possible that we use 'old BIS' and the other is using 'new BIS' - withdrawal and return duct BIS is required to receive the new "ENCORE" features. But I worry about who's who in your case - and I fear even that I recently saw so many problems with that (and Yahoo as well). If you're brave, you can remove both of the BIS (and, indeed, all the others you have here) and then wait a while... for more simplicity, I say an hour. Then re - integrate them both and see what happens... at least, in this way, they both would be on the latest version of BIS and the functionality would be the same thing (with, of course, the risk being that neither works the way you want!).

You can consult this KB in case he has something useful:
