  It sounds like you already have the correct settings. But, at the bottom of this KB is a statement about the external link images... If the image is linked to the outside rather that integrated, you will still need to manually get the image.

  This error often occurs when one tries, while USB attached to a PC, use the PC/browser interface web AppWorld. I recommend untether and rather use the AW interface on the device.

  I have the BB Pearl 9100 with OS 6.0.0.723. I try to update/install Apps via the desktop, but every time that I try to do that I get a message "content protection is enabled on the device, please turn it off & try again.

  But the content protection is disabled in Options-> Security-> Encryption (the device memory & Media card both are disabled for encryption). I disabled all the options out there, but still, I get this weird message which is not let me update my applications.

  Try to reset the BB by pulling on the battery or restore factory settings
  First try a battery pull (remove the battery with power and wait about 30 seconds and then replace the battery in the camera) and then try to install it from App World. If that fixed it, try to go through some steps below.

  another user has found a solution to this problem and displayed in these forums. The main idea is to clear the cache of the AppWorld:

  1. open the App World
  2. go to my world
  3. clear the cache:

  -For the storm & Pearl devices: show the keyboard, hold down the num-lock ("! 123") key so that it locks and then press the three characters: 3 4 ( ).
  -For other devices: hold down the ALT key and press the three keys R S T

  4. If your devie is locked after that, do a battery pull reboot.

  What version of BlackBerry world, have you tried? Make a restart of battery pull after reboot on your homescreen go to Options > device > application > remove BlackBerry World from there, do a restart.

  Once, it is done from your BlackBerry browser navigation or click here http://mobileapps.blackberry.com/devicesoftware/entry.do?code=appworld3 to download the 4.0.0.55 version. After the device Setup prompts to restart the computer then try BlackBerry ID software update.

  5.0 is already out for the 8900 on your network?

  Check with the supplier of the apps to see if applications are compatible 5.0. Not that many networks have out of this OS yet.

  I had to replace my phone (Blackberry Curve 8530) a few days ago while I was trying to download some apps I had on my previous phone. But, when I try to download the applications, a message appears indicating "application unavailable for download from blackberry app world" I know is false.
