BlackBerry smartphones to create a friendly Word document of Blackberry?

I have a word with pictures embedded in document. Somebody just asked if I could set him up to be friendly BlackBerry. I don't know what to do with it. I searched around, but found no relevant information. Is it a model size or file format that is better adapted to the BlackBerry screen? It uses a 8830.

You were quite right, the banner aside is separate, but in general, the document looks good, that I taped to the media

Map and can edit with Docs to go.

At least we gave it a shot!

You can create word documents and powerpoint presentations, but you cannot save them directly on a normal USB.

Microsoft made a version of office for iPad, you can find it in the App Store. Here is a link:

    PowerPoint

There are usb drives that work with iPads, and you can save documents to those who use their own applications.

  • I've created a new Word document & tried to send it as an attachment, I just couldn't do

I created a new Word document.  I went to the file and send to and clicked on Mail to the recipient with an attachment. It's as much as I could get.  He went to a sign in the window that cannot be opened.  I couldn't understand it.  any body out there who knows how to solve this problem

What do you use for email?

You are using Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird or another application that you have installed on your computer or you are using a web interface to access your email (gMail, Yahoo mail, Windows Live Hotmail)?

If you use a program installed and at least for some of the web interfaces, go to control panel > Internet Options, then click on the "Programs" tab  Click on the drop down arrow for "Email" and select your e-mail application.  OK your way out.

Now what happens when you use "send" to send mail?  Note that if your e-mail application is not already open, it may take some time before the opening of the window 'compose email'.

  • Creating links in Word documents converted

I converted a Word docx document to HTML which consists of a set of documents that are linked together.

Accordingly, each section in the doc full (except the title and Table of contents), actually becomes a JPG editable text box.

I tried to create links between the Table of contents for the different sections.

I tried everything but I'm missing some concept.  It's one of those things, I just see it once I will hit me more head FRO not fiquring out.

Someone has an answer for me

I hate to burst your bubble, but Word documents are not suitable for web pages.  My advice is your docx to PDF.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

In native mode, the BB cannot handle Word documents. But, most of the BBs all come with Documents To Go Standard Edition which is what you want... well almost. Creating new documents requires the Premium edition (which also adds management of the PDF). But in the Standard edition, there is a trick to work around the feature. You can see everything about the product here:

I am XP user window (home addition) and have recently experienced a problem open a document created with Microsoft Word. I saved the file, he sent, and trying to open it it does not allow me to do. I get a pop up saying - bar FILE CAN BE USED BY ANOTHER APPLICATION, or FORMAT of FILE CAN NOT NOT BE supported BY any OF THE INSTALLED CONVERTERS OR THE FILE is maybe DAMAGED. After you click ok in the pop-up a white prosser page for Microsoft word opens. I'm trying to accomplish creating a coupon for my wife to be able to post to its customers by e-mail.

It may be in a format that Word can not handle. They are files DOC, DOCX, XLS or or something else?

There is an update available for the words to open the DOCX files.

It's still called "Microsoft Word". The latest version is Word 2010.
You can find it in almost any store or website that sells software,
either as a product sold by itself, or as part of Microsoft Office (the
the most recent version is Office 2010).

  • Word document and clearing the Blackberry browser cache automatically

I hope that is clear enough, let me give you general information.

I developed an application of launchpad for launching the BB browser and it points to a Web site on the intranet that allows end-users to access a word document.

The end users have access to this document periodically throughout the day to see it has updated content.

The content of this document is updated regularly throughout the day, a problem arises, however, as the browser cache a copy of this document once it is loaded at the start and can be only manually clear the cache of the browser via the OPTIONS > DELETE the BROWSING DATA > now CLEAR will allow the end user see the updated document to update. This aspect should be done whenever the user wants to see the document, which is unacceptable.

I realize account by using a word document is not an optimal solution, but under certain constraints, it was the only option available at the moment, which brings me to my question.

Y at - it no practical way, whether programmatically, through BES settings or programmatically so that the browser delete it has cached content automatically?

All of these options are excluded, are there no known method to simulate clicks, or control on a BB, be internally via the BB API or even 3 options part where this might be film script in the app to ban? (think windows GUI automation similar to AutoIt or something in that sense).

Basically, I need a solution where the end user will not need to go into the options and delete the data itself, I realize this is the simple answer to this problem, but there are reasons why this isn't an option.

I searched the forums here, but also google extensively and found previously that similar surveys were not happy with the results, I hope the further development or even 3rd party solutions may have been raised for this problem.

Any input would be much appreciated.

    Hi @GSPSDev,

On the first issue, caching is done based on the URL instead of emptying the cache, all you have to do is add a timestamp to the URL query string and the browser does not load the document from the cache. For example: If your original URL is: http://foo.bar/a.doc, then each time your shipment a request, send it to: http://foo.bar/a.doc?t=%timestamp% (timestamp is simply the value of System.currentTimeInMillis ()).

On the second issue, the BB API allows you to simulate clicks of the user using the EventInjector:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/developers/docs/5.0.0api/NET/rim/device/API/system/EventInjector.html

    Hope that helps,

    E.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones need help with the word base to use

I tried endless forums on help to use the basic features of the Doc to go to search. everyone seems to have a problem PDF, attachment problem or another problem of advanced feature, I can just transfer my Word documents on my blackberry and view them. From DataViz Web site had no answer for me.

I have a BB storm, with VZW, using the most recent 4.7 OS it is a personal phone, so don't think it's a problem of BES.

I'm not very Savy BB, this is my first phone which does more then call / SMS and I'm sure I've missed a step somewhere, it may not be difficult to get a word in my Storm doc and visualize it.

I used the Desktop Manager to transfer documents word on my storm, I transferred to the default documents folder.

I also tried drag-and - drop file to my blackberry just using my PC.

also, I tried to send me an email and download the attachment.

I can get the files from my storm, when I go to the media and to "explore" I can see the files, but I can't open them, according to the extension, it is said, is not an RTF file or unable to display file/Media card/blackberry/documents/""".wps

And when I try to access it directly from the Word go, it appears same.

    Am I missing something?

Any help would be appreciated, I think I'm missing something or I missed a step somwhere.

If someone can share with me a step by step how to send a word document (what to save it under) for my blackberry (where to put) and in fact he discovered (where to go) would be great.

also I missed something permissions? I set everything on Documents to go to 'allow' and reset the firewall.

    Hello and welcome!

Looks like you do everything right. I just sent myself a doc word opened the email and who launched Word to Go. I then closed and saved and can be found only through Media-Explorer or by first launching WordToGo and then open it. So it seems that something is wrong with yours.

First thought - there was an update for Documents To Go... the current version is 1.006 (052) - find who spear one of the applications To Go and then open the menu (button BB) and selecting "about...". ». If you are on an older version, first advice is to get the update (another selection in this menu). Then try again.

Second thought - which version of Word? I noticed my WordToGo talks about reading through Word2004 (I think they mean 2003). If you try to use a document of 2007 (.docx), it might not work.

  • Create PDFs from MS Word documents with DWG files embedded

Using Adobe Acrobat Pro XI, I regularly create PDF documents from MS Word documents with AutoCAD DWG files embedded.  If I print to PDF it is well with integrated designs but if I use the plugin Acrobat text in the drawings would then become too light to see in the created PDF file.  I need to be able to convert to PDF format rather than print them in PDF format in order to have the bookmarks and links created automatically.  What parameters control the darkness of drawings ACAD contained in MS Word files when they are converted to PDF files?

Here are some screenshots from the built-in drawings prints/changed:

    Printed to PDF.JPG

    Convert:

    Converted to PDF.JPG

This problem was caused by the use of dynamic blocks with several line colors and thicknesses in the original DWG files.  They were used to allow the quick creation of drawings in AutoCAD for several different components that share similar attributes.  Unfortunately when these drawings are incorporated in MS Word or PDF files is created directly from these drawings, items in the drawing would randomly disappear when a PDF file created from them.  The solution is to open each offending in AutoCAD DWG file, move everything to layer zero and set the thickness of the text elements.
