  • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  Okay so I recently bought a blackberry 9800 torch of my friend, its not in poor condition but it has a few scratches on it. the phone also worked well for her.

  This morning, installed an app to rename my files of music, called MTagz or something like that

  directly after the installation, a grey box with a blue loading circle sign and the word loading it appeared. I thought he'd go after a while, but long story short, he didn't.

  Ive tried to restart and turn my phone off, then on, but it won't work. If I could, I would like to uninstall the app, but my phone is completely insensitive.

  If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

  But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '.   It's the second time this has happen to me and don't know what I did to correct, caused much less. I see a limited number of emails even though I have others, as when you look at the last phone numbers I asked or received, I do not see everything now.

  I see that perhaps the past 12 emails received and sent, were like yesterday, I could scroll and see more than two weeks of work.

  Absolutely, you just need to edit and set silent to your e-mail notifications and messages.

  1. Select the profiles icon
  2. a box will appear where you can quickly choose between Loud, vibrate, quiet, normal, phone only, and outside. If you like quick-change device profiles and select the one you want and get out.
  3. If you want to change the tones assigned to the applications in the device, and then select the last option, advanced options

  I took my battery off for about 5 minutes, and when I rebooted and went to see in the pictures, the folder folder ' hidden non-existent ' disappeared

  I have a 8330 on Verizon and about 2 weeks, I received the "app error: 523. I tried to delete applications and restarting it but none of it worked because I couldn't get to the phone. I could not even save my data and contacts. I was forced to enter the password incorrectly and wipe everything that my phone is off. I then reinstalled the operating system and everything was fine. I recently started having my contacts and everything new, but when I rebooted, it tonight, I got message again. It's very frustrating! I don't have a lot of apps at all (Google maps, google talk, facebook, etc.) Can someone please give me an idea? Will I still have to deal with? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Now, when I get an SMS message, I'll still take the little icon showing me I have mail, but when I click on my mail box, there is no new message.  I have to click on the menu, click the display folder, and then click SMS messages to display.   BUT now I can't restore my data to my phone.   When I used the Desktop Manager, I clicked on restore and then came a box that says: "the data in the following databases...". Do you want to continue? ', followed by a list of my databases. Below that is a box for you to check that says «Clear the current memory of the OBU... and restore data...» ».  This sentence is overlying (you can see in the text) the Yes/No to click on the box.  So, even if I check the box in front of the text, I can't click on Yes or no. (nothing happens when I click on it). I tried to restart a few times Director of office, but I always get the same thing.  Should I uninstall and reinstall?

  Look carefully at the API - there are three distinct objects of the Message:

  javax.wireless.messaging.Message (SMS)

  net.rim.blackberry.api.blackberrymessenger.Message (BB Messenger - 4.2.1 and higher)

  net.rim.blackberry.api.mail.Message (email)

  All three a really different classes completely different methods and properties.
