  I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

  (1) registry HRT

  • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

  (2) remove and return Service directories

  • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
  • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

  (3) restart to take batt

  • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning.   I had a Twitter update this week, followed by an update to App World.  I haven't used Twitter for a few days, so I can't be sure, but I think that his since he stopped working.   However, much bother I reloaded twitter on the Twitter website in my APP WORLD on my pc - linked this way to my phone and hey presto, it works! who knows what it was all about!

  1. on your home screen, press Menu > SHOW ALL, so that ALL DISPLAY is checked.
  2. look in EVERY folder on your device... Applications, instant messaging, downloads, etc.

• Icon blackBerry Smartphone Email notification problem

  I have a problem where the electronic mail notification icon is incorrectly showing that I have an unread message.  The unread messages search result is no match but the icon remains.

  It started shortly after I opened and closed about 10 messages in quick succession to remove their unread status, so I think he might have got confused.  I reloaded the firmware (v4.6.0.247) and this solved the problem for about eight hours, and then he did it again.
