BlackBerry Smartphones Twitter freezes as soon as I open it

Hello

I had a Twitter update this week, followed by an update to App World.  I haven't used Twitter for a few days, so I can't be sure, but I think that his since he stopped working. If I click on the icon, I get my home page, but then it crashes & usually do something else. I have to turn the phone off so he could go - then I get a message on the abandonment of the - BB-221 etc - does not - RIM etc.

I deleted Twitter and reinstalled nothing doesn't.

any suggestions would be welcome

Thank you

Thank you for taking the time to answer. Unfortunately, it did not work.

However, much bother I reloaded twitter on the Twitter website in my APP WORLD on my pc - linked this way to my phone and hey presto, it works! who knows what it was all about!

Thanks again

I tried to use blackberry desktop to solve the problem but the phone freeze as soon as it connects to the blackberry desktop.

When I say phone freeze, I would say. I get the spinning clock symbol and that's all. It ran for 25 minutes before the last drawing of battery. Help! any suggestions would be helpful.

Hello and welcome to the community!

I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

If the behavior ceases, then try to delete the application in Mode safe.

But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

Good luck and let us know!

Hello! Have you done a hard reset?

A hard reset is similar to rebooting a computer that is not responding. A hard reset shut BlackBerry applications and restarts the BlackBerry smartphone operating system reboots the hardware components of the BlackBerry smartphone, including the wireless transmitter/receiver.

Note: A hard reset deletes all settings or the data on the BlackBerry smartphone.

To perform a hard reset, follow these steps:

    1. Turn off the BlackBerry smartphone.
    2. Remove the battery.
    3. Reinsert the battery.
    4. Wait until that smartphone BlackBerry start.

    In addition,

Confirm that all installed third-party applications are approved for the device

Make sure that all third party applications installed on the BlackBerry smartphone are approved for the device. If the problem persists, remove third-party applications to ensure that they do not affect performance.

    And don't forget,

    Optimize flash memory

You can keep the smart phone BlackBerry operating at peak performance by maximizing the available flash memory. Increase the amount of available memory on your BlackBerry smartphone by performing the following tasks:

    1. Add a memory card
    2. Remove unused languages
    3. Delete call logs
    4. Remove the sample video
    5. Empty the Cache and Cookies in the browser
    6. Delete rarely used applications
    7. Delete old data

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Twitter/Blackberry App world apocaplypse

    Hello

Twitter started badly so I thought I'd be smart and reinstall it. However, after the removal of the it, he refused to tΘlΘcharger AppWorld. He asks me to check my network settings. All of this, tried a hard reset but still no joy. Now when I return to the Appworld, it isn't even give me the option to download Twitter, even if it exists anywhere on my phone.

I get an error message if I try to download from blackberry.com/twitter too.

    Extremely irritating.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

Then I suggest that you clear the cache of application AppWorld via these steps:

    1. open the App World

    2. go to my world

    3. for the BB keyboard-oriented - hold down the ALT key and press on, in the sequence R, then S, then T

    3. for Storm/Pearl - hold the num-lock (! 123 button) so that it hangs and then press on, in the sequence 3, then 4, then)

    4. If your BB locks after issuing clear cache, do a battery pull reboot

    5. return to the AppWorld. Connect to MyWorld (if there is one) and try again.

I hope it'll work for you! Good luck and let us know!

    Hi alimayet

I think you have something else stored on the memory of your device application 3 other than you have a memory card on your device and where your media files are stored? Have you enabled support Media Card on your device, please check, if you have stored on your device memory then transfer these files to your press card, this Knowledge Base for:

KB05478   : , transfer files between the card and device memory on a smartphone BlackBerry.

Also as I said delete any extra language of your device, have you enabled Memory Cleaner on your device? Check Options > Security > Memory Cleaner, if it is enabled then please disable it, it can also cause the gel and clock.

Of course you can downgrade your device for OS5 if you want that and want to help please let us know. But many users run OS6 on there BlackBerry Curve 9300 without any problem, so I suggest first trying these steps and if those who fails, you can try the version of your operating system.

  • Why my Curve 9300 blackBerry Smartphones keep freeze

Why my BB Curve 9300 keep freezing?

It freezes all the time because you're out of the application memory.

I recommend you to install BlackBerry Desktop Software and do a full backup of the device. Then do a security Wipe. You can do the wipe by going into Options and type security wipe in the search bar. Do not include the media card, but include 3rd party applications. You can install those later via BBWorld.

When it's done, you can only restore the databases that you really need like e-mail, calendar, contacts, etc.

When you are all done to ensure that the media are registered in the media card. I recommend getting a much larger map in order to have room for photos and videos. You do not want the data stored on the device memory.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Twitter application

I downloaded the twitter application a couple of weeks, everything has worked for a few days. I logged in using the credentials, I use online and has been able to tweet and receive tweets. However, after a few days, he stopped editing, and I could not tweet more. "I got an error"Unable to connect to the server"" twitter has encountered a problem "I thought much about it, put it down to being busy system. A day later I tried again and got the same errors, in order to be in IT I tried the remedy of old age and disconnected with the intention to reconnect, however when I typed in my username and password, I got an error of your user name and password are incorrect. Knowing that it was impossible, but willing to try one more time I typed in brand new, very attentive to every letter and digit. Yet once I got the same error, one or two times he changed unable to connect to the server, but especially that my credentials were wrong.

I even went up to try to create a new username, after typing four letters, I got an error 'user name cannot be longer than 15 characters' after long fights, I managed to type my username (samcarter1022) and my password, when I clicked on send I had 'failed to create.

I sent a request to Twitter, I am able to connect online in it doesn't seem that the problem is with them, they advised to conact Blackberry, so here I am, what I do now?

    Kerry.

My first suggestion would be to reboot the device: with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

Let me know how it goes, if it does not work then.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Twitter notification on which follow me

Hi all I'm new to this forum, so don't know how it works. But I have a problem with my blackberry curve 9300. I use the twitter provided with the phone app. And I want to know how to receive notifications when someone follows me because I get notifications only when I get new tweets, replies and mentions. Please help me

Sorry my bad. This feature has not yet been integrated with Twitter for Blackberry. Only you can check and see who followed you through the list of the follower or you can embed the email associated with your Twitter on your Blackberry so that e-mail notifications will be pushed to your phone.

Hello and welcome to the community!

Please try this sequence... Note that, throughout the whole 4h15m process, your BB should stay connected to a good charger (not the USB PC):

    1. With battery, connect your BB to the wall charger
    2. Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not
    3. Remove the battery
    4. Wait 15 minutes
    5. Insert the battery
    6. Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not

This has been known to "revive" some BBs.

It is also possible that your battery or BB has encountered a problem... to test, this sequence is necessary:

    1. Get a known good and already fully charge battery... use it in your BB and see what happens
    2. Get access to a BB good and the same known... use your battery in there and see what happens

The results of this will show if your BB or your battery that has the problem.

You can also try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. If you get properly in Mode without failure, then there's some 3rd party app which is the cuplrit.

You can also study the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe what he is capable.

You can also try this procedure might limit the specific causal element:

    1. Load your OS "bare bones"... If everything is optional, do not install it.
    2. If the behavior is immediately, then try another OS with step 1
    3. If the behavior does not immediately, then run for as long as necessary to make you to be sure that the behavior will not occur.
    4. Add one more thing - no matter how tempting, one.
    5. If the behavior does not immediately present, and then runs for long enough to be sure he won't have the same problem
    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are responsible or the behavior presents

When the behavior shows up, you know the culprit... the last thing you have loaded.

If the behavior doesn't re-present, then you know that step 1 or 2 cured it.

If the behavior has anything, then you have probably a problem of material level for which no amount of OS or software can heal.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Twitter, wifi, browser problem!

Hello! I am having trouble, please, if someone can help me... !

Thing is: until yesterday I could surf the web and access my Twitter (I have the Twitter app and a "quick search with Google" app), but today, when I tried to update my Twitter account I started to have an error that says: "a service book for the IPPP is not found." In addition, the Google app does not work.

I checked under options / advanced / etc, etc... and the Twitter service book is there.

Also did a restart (out the water while the phone was on)

Checked under 'Manage connections' and WiFi turned on, with a green tick just next door.

So, everything seems like it should work, but it is not... any ideas?

(Everything else works fine. i.e. bbm, mail, whatsapp, etc.)

    Thanks in advance!

    Tues-

First return your service books.  Just because he says that it is there, it could be damaged.

  • Why of blackBerry Smartphones it freezes?

Y at - it a fix for the constant freezing and locking up? I have brand new software update through verizon and blackberry. It has become more and more frequent, and looks like I need to remove the battery and restart the phone almost every day. someone else has this problem and is there a solution?

The most important practice you can adopt to avoid freezing of the storm is to ensure CLOSE applications when you are finished using them.  If you simply press the 'red phone' button to return to the home screen application is actually open. If you do this several times, you will have many apps open and therefore your memory will get used. Lack of memory is the main reason that the storm slows down to a crawl or crashes. If you make a habit of actually use the menu button to close the applications that will at least slow this process memory-clogging. You may still do a battery pull or using the "Quickpull" app from time to time when things get slow.

  • Update of the software of blackBerry Smartphones keeps freezing

I have a Blackberry Bold 9700 and I try to update the software of 5.0.0.54 5 5.0.0.86 2.  Whenever I try to do that it freezes at "downloaded modules 540 534.

Initially, I left the Blackberry at night (about 10 hours) and nothing happened, it was still frozen on '540 534.  I restarted my computer and I tried once again: no chance.  I restarted my computer and rebooted my Blackberry and turned on my wireless internet to the LAN and still no luck.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

I found the solution to my problem and thought I would post it so that he could be of help to others.

After choosing to update software, we see the following screen:

If you choose the option "Show other versions" at the bottom left, we come to this screen:

The second file in this list is the exact same software as the first file on the list.  However, the second file installed directly from my hard drive instead of internet.  I believe that this file was put in the list of software when I installed the 155MB file that I mentioned in the previous post.

Once I installed the file from my hard drive there is no problem.

I hope it is of some use to someone out there.
