  I use a security code on my BB Curve 8330.  I tried to synchronize media files today through the desktop (win XP) USB interface and has been invited to enter a password.  I used my security code and password account BB, neither worked.  I unplugged the USB cable and now cannot unlock the device by using the keyboard.  Twice I have re-set the device (battery removed), and we invited to enter the word "blackberry" I did.  When you are prompted to unlock the device, I try to enter my code, but instead of the usual displays of * (standard characters when you type a password), I see on the screen the characters I entered.  I use a 4-digit number for my unlock code, but when I get in I see the corresponding value of QWERTY (eg.  type '2' see 'e' on the screen)

  Now I have 9 of 10 attempts and don't want to lose my data.  How can I get this think unblocked?

  1. While you still can, on your BlackBerry smartphone, change the password to something very simple, alpha characters only, not numbers, without capital letters. To do this before you lose all your data. Enter the incorrect password ten times will wipe your device of all data, contacts, calendar, etc.

  2. you probably think that you have a number or a capital letter in your password, and you don't really have.

  for example, if you think your password is "w3rs", try alpha correspondent character and the PW would be "wers".

  You never noticed the error, because the entry hidden on the password.

  I just bought my first BB Curve 8330, through Verizon.  I noticed that some downloads will not install on my BB via the Manager of office (like the game of Sudoku) free on this site.  The office displays an error message indicating "no additional applications designed for your device were found".  Are there restrictions based on the provider of telephone service with regard to this software I can install it on my BB?

  I installed the update and got 4.5 now, but no "Excel" sheet to go to the docs to go. When I go to the word and select search automatically updates, the only thing it is an update of maintenance, which she said is not compatible with the version of the standard to go. Hmm

  Problem solved... If you have only 2 of the three applications appear. You will need to download it via the desktop Mgr. Updater to get the word out and show... Then register the product. Then remove the program from your BB. Then go to Dataviz and download the standard edition of them (dataviz) directly on the BB. After that then all three have shown to me.

  I loved my Curve 8330 from Verizon who was running v4.3.0.127 (Platform 3.1.0.72) and had the BB Dimension icon theme. When the ring around the ball fell, the company gave me a nifty new Verizon Curve 9330 6.0 Bundle 1741 (v6.0.0.431, platform 4.4.0.315), running with the theme "BlackBerry 6 f...". "by default (can not read the whole name of it). I'm usually very happy for advancements in technology, but after having this phone for a little over a week, I'm ready to throw into the river! I just want my old phone back!

  Is it possible to replace the software on my new 9330 with the version I had on my 8330? I have the 8330 yet and the disks that came with it. Or, if this is not possible, the BB Dimension icon theme are for the version of the software that I use on the 9330? Anyone know where to find?

  If this does not work, if I had to find a replacement 8330 phone, does anyone know if I could find even the old software that I liked so much?

  Tried to put in place of Verizon, visual voicemail on priv. Verizon said it is a problem of Blackberry and Visual Voicemail does not work on priv. Is this true? Has anyone on Verizon visual voicemail on Priv?

  I called Verizon today. They said THAT VVM is an option on the Q10, Z10 and Z30 but not the private. too bad, I think it is very convenient especially when I'm in meetings.

  I hope I'm not duplicating an existing thread... but could not find the question / answer until now.

  I have really two questions (which are linked)

  1. I have a BB Storm 2 on Verizon and purchased an unlock code. However, before unlocking, I wanted to make sure that I can use my phone / email / data from my existing Verizon account. The reason why I'm unlock the phone in the first place, is that I want to give my mother in Germany in about a month, which will be used with a different local provider.

  2. once I give the phone to my mother in Germany, she would be able to use it just via WiFi or she will have a provider and the data plan to send e-mails? She didn't really need it as a phone, just to send by e-mail. I don't know, however, whether she would be able to put up with an e-mail account if it doesn't have a regular wireless provider.

  Don't worry, you will still be able to use your phone on Verizon when unlock you. Be sure to enter the code carefully and that you get only 10 tests and then it will be permanently locked to Verizon.

  Once you give the phone your mother in Germany, she will be able to use the browser and a few apps through wifi, but if she wants to use the features of e-mail or something like BBM, it will need a BlackBerry data plan (a regular data plan is not enough). So now, if she is simply using a service like Gmail or Hotmail e-mail, she can just connect via the browser on wifi and manually check his emails. But it's the only option for wifi use.

• Icon media of blackBerry Smartphones lack of Curve 8330

  I just changed the inclination of AT & T for the Curve 8330 on Verizon's network, and so far I'm in love. I'm having a problem however, the "Media" icon is missing and I can't seem to get it back.

  What I tried:

  -"OPTIONS - ADVANCED OPTIONS - HOST the TABLES of ROUTING CLICK on IT. "MENU KEY-SELECT REGISTER NOW" fix.

  -The 'Email SETTINGS - SERVICE - SEND SERVICE BOOKS' difficulty.

  -Soft Powercycle.

  All to nothing does not.  The media icon is still missing. Any ideas?

  Nevermind, I'm a * beep *. Apparently the media icon has been moved to the file 'Documents To Go', and I just had to bring it back up to the main screen.

  My Cical is on Facebook (Cical Outlook has been deleted according to the recommendations of another post)

  My configuration of the synchronization is defined on prior transfer of 365 days, 365 days after, remove alarm of past dates.

  When my BB it synchronizes goes through all the all programs updated except calendar.  I get no error saying: it does not synchronize and I get no update of the calendar.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  I think you want to go back to what you were doing with CICAL.  Delete facebook and enter the address originally associated with your BB and Outlook email.
