BlackBerry Smartphones, versions devices

I need to know what version of the operating system shipped on different models of BBs. Not having do not much luck spot final information; The pages are either obsolete or need as a result of a device-specific path. I would really appreciate something associate/summaries.

SAQ for a society of software... the construction of test systems. Thank you.

In several of the forums specific to the device, we have sticky threads that have the OS level by carriers that we know. I don't know that those back to the original version of each device, but there might be something useful for you. For an example, see here:

The first post is what existed at the time... and progresses through messages with updates as we compile them.

Maybe that will help you.

I want to use blackberry protect but since I got my phone there a small lock next to the checkbox to disable encryption so I can't turn it off. I upraged to os7.1, but the problem remains. Can someone help me?

Hello and welcome to the community!

I'm not sure about the correlation between the encryption and the BB Protect... you jumped from one to another at whiplash speed in your post... do not understand.

But, nevertheless, if encryption is active and locked, then the most likely answer is that your device has a COMPUTER Board policy that requires encryption is active. You can check the existence of a COMPUTER policy via this method:

    • KB30076 How to check for an it on a BlackBerry smartphone policy

If you're on BES through your company or otherwise, you have to stop now and talk to your BES admins, because they are in control of it on your device policy.

If you are not on BES, then somehow you got a device that once stood on BES, and who gave you sanitized it not properly before give you the device. You can now clean, but it will be totally destructive. Therefore, please begin by reviewing the Backup link in my sig auto on this post and make sure you have a full and complete backup.

Once you have a backup, you can do this to clean your BB of the it policy:

Subsequently, when you restore, DO NOT make a full restore... rather just do a selective restore of the databases you need (e.g., contacts, calendar, messages, etc.) and more precisely to avoid any database that have nothing to with COMPUTER policy, business, etc.. If you restore those, they will dutifully restore COMPUTER policy and you will be right back where you started.

    Good luck!

  • Message from blackBerry Smartphones: MTP Device Mode is enabled on

I just did a hard reset (remove battery) on my Storm2 9550.  When it finished start, I started the Desktop software and connected the phone via the USB port.  I received the following message:

This Blackberry device using a connection of the PSG.  Some features of media for your device mass storage mode, which interrupts all active media transfer protocol (MTP) connections.  You want to mass storage mode?

I don't know exactly what that means or if I should answer 'Yes' or 'no '.  (I had a bit of luck you are looking for this particular online message).

The BlackBerry Storm smartphone can connect to a computer in one of the following ways:

    • USB mass storage mode
    • Media Transfer Protocol (MTP)

MTP allows a BlackBerry smartphone user transfer media files between a computer and a BlackBerry smartphone and provides support for multimedia files that have specific requirements, such as restrictions associated with the management of digital rights (DRM) technologies.

A BlackBerry smartphone appears as a Portable device in my computer when connected to the computer using the PSG. It does not appear in the devices with removable storage section and has not assigned a drive letter.

Computer rebooted, turned off mass storage device, reconnected phone several times, but always the following error.

The phone will reboot with the old software and everything works fine.   I guess that its better to wait for a temporary fix of the program or simply not load the software at all.   Does anyone else know this problem?  Cheers, EJPM

Just complete the update on the Web instead of the update of computer desktop and everything worked well. NOTE: It does not take very long.

Then, maybe there is a bug in the update of desktop?     anyway, if anyone has the same problem try the update the Web.  I hope it will work for you.  Cheers, E

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BB Device software - what and where

    Hello world.

I had a problem with my app, thanks to this forum, I found that the reason was the old version of my device (on the box fairs 4.5.0.52) software.

I need the 4.5.0.62 version and more.

Today, I spend several hours looking for such a version, but I'm only confused with all available versions.

So, my question is, what is the latest version available? Is - this version is stable? Where can I download it? Download somewhere unstable/development version?

    My BB is 8300.

    Thank you.

This isn't a recommendation to install, but if you need the software, visit this link!

  • BlackBerry smartphones export device calendar to a common Format of office

I hope someone can help us with that.  I recently updated my curve software (before the backup device... duuuuh).  After the upgrade, many fields "Send help" my calendar entries have changed since the designation of origin "the default device.  Well, as a result, my calendar of the device will not correctly synchronize with Outlook and I have not found a way to force all my peripheral calendar entries in Outlook.  It is apparently a "function".

Now, if only I had saved my camera before the upgrade... But I'm here...

So, I thought I might be able to export my calendar to another common form, .cvs, .txt, etc..  But, I did find a way.  Is it possible that I can export that I'm talking about, or remove it from my backup file on my desktop?  Better yet, what can I do to get my calendar entries that you want to synchronize with outlook.  (I tried to do a one-way sync from my device calendar to outlook, but he ignored the "Default device" entries... I really don't understand why...).

So, why I'm going this topic?  Well, I thought I'd be smart and align my calendar entries for the various email accounts that I have (1 for businesses, 1 for personal use).  So I can color code each so that they appear in my calendar as such so that I could easily see what type of calendar entry, it's color (business or personal).  I used this method because there is no field "category" for calendar entries.

I don't know if there is a problem with the Desktop Manager. I would do a clean uninstall using this guide:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/KB02206

Then go and install the latest version 5.0 without a manager of media from here:

    https://www.BlackBerry.com/downloads/entry.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22

Also be sure to remove all books with "[email protected] [CICAL]" service to e-mail accounts, don't use only not the calendar. The be sure to move all the entries in the calendar default device as indicates it the previous link on multiple calendars.

If none of this works, you can have a database of damaged on the phone calendar. This would mean the removal of the Calendar database so it can recreate (you can lose some calendar entries unless you have a good backup of earlier). We will see how the suggestions above first work before doing this.

  • Setup blackBerry Smartphones version 6.11.0324.1701 ERROR messaging application

    Hello

I need urgent help. I've recently updated to OS6. Since the update, I tried to add an email account to my BB, but whenever I try to open the configuration application, he advises to update the configuration of Messaging Application 6.11.0324.1701. There is a major bug in this update.

When I click on cancel, I can't access the configuration. When I click ok, the error 'com.rim.bis.client' contains a different version of the "net_rim_bis_client" module, which is also used by "Email Setup Application". If you continue, "Email Setup Application" may stop working correctly. Move forward? When I click on no, the entire download is canceled and I can't access the configuration. When I click on Yes, the device will not start and I have to reload the operating system.

The update, I want to talk can be found at http://vodamy.blackberry.com/rest/updates/tc/6.0/6.11.0324.1701/net_rim_bis_client_en.jad

I tried all sorts of workarounds to extinguish my connections to update via the web; all with the same frustrating result. FOR ALL USERS, DO NOT UPDATE TO OS6 UNTIL THE PROBLEM IS RESOLVED.

Anyone has a solution for this problem or does anyone have a contact in the RIM that can sort this question about ASAP?

    Hey Bimal77
Have the same problem with you until I have try to check the box to enable permissions, scroll to the end of the list with custom parameters and click ok. It worked for me.

  • Teams of blackBerry Smartphones Version 6 upgrade

When I recently updated my BB 9650 to version 6 OS, he wiped data "Host Routing Table" my device. That left me without any service, except the AIS telephony. In Thailand, where the engineering skills can lead to more trouble than you faced initially, I had to take a trip of 20 miles from a home office area AIS to do re-configured.

Now, I find it annoying to some few bugs, but I'm afraid to opt for more updates I don't want not distributed around the said particular mill.

    My gripes include:

The impossibility of the 'response' to emails without starting a fresh message "Virgin." Possibility to save the project is there, but no shipping.

The timer is unreliable and often, but not always, don't sound the tone of the end. Grrrr!

Any advice on future upgrades of risk or not would be appreciated.

    Thank you!

Steve, you can send service books and register host home routing table, as long as you have a signal to your mobile service provider.

On your BlackBerry device, go to:

    1. options > advanced > host Routing Table > Menu > register.

2 send your service from your carrier's BIS site books:
    Of your handheld: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15402

Go to the Personal Email Set Up icon and sign. Then under help!, select Service books and select send service books.

    Your desktop PC: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830
North American carriers - scroll down to select your carrier
Carriers worldwide - find your operator from the list

    3. with the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart. This restart, even if you have already done this, is often necessary to install the service books.

Now, go to Options > device > advanced > default Services and make sure you have your correct account set as the default mail e-mail client.

  • New blackBerry Smartphones version of the app world

I have the Curve 8520 and now have app world version 2.0.1.12.   I got a message yesterday that the new version of 2.1.0.39 is available, but there is no 'Upgrade' to click on download button.

The installation and upgrade instructions are the same. When, on the BB, you click on the link that you send to the BB (on site), it takes you to an installation location. During installation, the installation program recognizes that there is a previous version of the AppWorld on the device... and it will prompt you to allow him to replace the installed the new version.

I don't understand why the email I got BB yesterday on my phone does not an upgrade click on option.  Choices are 2 that I have to click 'Critiques' and 'recommend '.

I don't have any idea of what email you have received, so I don't know what it was. I remember never to receive an email advising me of this upgrade... then again once I check regularly for upgrades and other, so maybe I got him earlier than the email notification.

Not knowing your configuration, I have no idea. You can also, as it is said on this site, enter this URL in your browser to start the BB installation program:

  • The Desktop of blackBerry Smartphones version 6 not finding phone after the decommissioning of the non working version 7

OK, so I FOOLISHLY accepted the version of office 7 update notification and downloaded and installed the new version, only to be reminded that I had done this before, had problems and had to downgrade.

Months ago I had problems and spent hours of my life trying to figure out exactly how to move to version 6, after losing several hours I finally got it working everyone and everything was fine until my moment of stupidity, the other week.

I now find myself unable to make it work.

I searched the forum and all I can find thread suggests what I did...

    Where I am now...
I uninstalled version 7, reinstalled the 6.1.0.35 version (the version that worked, for which I had the installation zip file for on my pc after I had problems earlier in the year)...
Tried to make it work, without success...
So I tried to uninstall version 6.1.0.35 completely, turn off the pc, the pc rebooted, reinstalled the version 6.1.0.35, off the pc, restatrted pc, tried to get the software to find the handset

    No joy!

Anyone point me in the right direction, until I completely lost the plot? !!

I want version 6.1.0.35 installed and find my phone, and syncronising, as it was before I accepted the update to version 7 by mistake!

    IT SOLVED!

OK I have persisted, yet another uninstall and reinstall and no luck... but then I thought to look at Device Manager and get windows update software. Now updated, driver, everything works...

While I'm not 100% certain, I believe that most bluetooth devices can accept only one connection at a time, especially with the same type of device.  I know that my laptop can accept multiple connections as long as each unit is separate (although I've never matched two of the devices themselves) but I was never able to get a phone to manage more than one helmet, or more than one laptop at a time.
