BlackBerry smartphones, what is your current wallpaper?

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post, but what is your current wallpaper?

You can't add more space on your home screen, because it is managed by the theme, not for yourself.

But you can download themes (as the JSanders have), is one of the links to download themes

  • BlackBerry smartphones some of your data has not been saved

Using BlackBerry Desktop Software 7.1.0.37 I get the following warning message after a return to the top of my BlackBerry Torch 9800 (version 6.0 of 2647 software bundle): 'some of your data has not been saved. Some data are not included in the file back. DataType: BlackBerry Messenger entered: 0/2 ".

Hello and welcome to the community!

Could the BBM Contacts... There are situations where those who are not properly saved with desktop software. Reference:

    • KB20554 How to back up and restore the BlackBerry Messenger contacts list

If you moved to BBM 7, then your BBM contacts are saved "the cloud" as part of your association ID BB to BBM.

Otherwise, you can compare the databases on your BB against what is contained in the backup file to determine exactly what is missing:

    • KB03974 List of database for the blackBerry smartphone

You would need a 3rd party PC app to analyze and present you the backup file "readable" format to compare.

  • BlackBerry smartphones, what's wrong with my Blackberry Bold 9930

First the screen of my Blackberry would freeze upwards and it wouldn't let me do anything for a few minutes, so I had to take my battery out and then after that I took out my battery and put back in place he would have himself cut and wouldn't load, it would load at halfway then stop and try again. I use to have to take out the battery for a few days before its in so that he can turn it on but one day it does at all so I thought it was the battery but I just bought a new battery and its charging again to half way and stop and then try to load again, but it won't turn. Does anyone know what the problem with it... I have to wait a few days before you put the new battery in once again and then it will work or is the phone itself and I just need to get a new one?  Help, please.

Hello and welcome to the community!

Please try this sequence... Note that, throughout the whole 4h15m process, your BB should stay connected to a good charger (not the USB PC):

    1. With battery, connect your BB to the wall charger
    2. Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not
    3. Remove the battery
    4. Wait 15 minutes
    5. Insert the battery
    6. Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not

This has been known to "revive" some BBs.

It is also possible that your battery or BB has encountered a problem... to test, this sequence is necessary:

    1. Get a known good and already fully charge battery... use it in your BB and see what happens
    2. Get access to a BB good and the same known... use your battery in there and see what happens

The results of this will show if your BB or your battery that has the problem. I realize that you have purchased a new battery, but please understand that 'new' and 'well known' are not necessarily the same thing... While it's rare, that a new battery cannot be subject to default. The best thing to do is to find someone with an identical BB which has no problem... to Exchange batteries and see what happens.

In addition, the next thing is to try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, thinking... what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

Otherwise, your next steps become much more radical.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry smartphones, what happened to my memory? HEEEELLLLLLPPPP!

Last night I updated my 8120 with the latest software available for me, that was the v45.0.124.  Before that, when I go my camera it said that I had about 40 or more photos.  Now, after update, I have 0 pictures on the left.  I checked my bytes and he said: I had over 9 million, and when I plugged my phone in the Desktop Manager, it said I had left 21Mo.  My question is why can't I save images or ringtones now?

    Hello

    This explains the photos.

I strongly suggest that you get a media card.

megabyte 10,2721 is what you had before the reset,

megabyte 11,7538 what you were after.

64 megabytes is what your phone is total.

15 MB would be considered as minimum for your phone working properly.

I suggest the following items and keep your approximately 20 MB of memory

Just a tip, most people close the applications by pressing the ESC key or red. This does not close the applications.

Each application has an option to close or exit. For example, if you are in the calendar, press the menu key (spotted) and scroll down to the bottom close is listed. You can see what is running by using the switch application option in the main menu.

    Thank you

  • BlackBerry smartphones, what does the flashing light green?

    Hey all,.

Have a curve 8330.  I know what the red and blue lights indicator means, but that means the light green?  I have no new messages or missed calls.  He started in the last two weeks.

    Thank you.

    Rosie

    Welcome to the forums

The green light is usually an indicator of coverage. Go to Options > keyboard/screen and seeing set of coverage on the off position. Who help me?

You can also try a battery pull:
    1. remove the battery while the phone is turned on
    2. wait a few seconds before inserting it again
    3. wait for the long end of the boot process (takes a few minutes usually)

This clears most of the software problems that occur on the BlackBerry from time to time. You can also use Quickpull, a free application that simulates a battery pull without removing the battery: http://software.crackberry.com/product.asp?id=27660
A battery pull gets lost when using the applications memory and clears minor software errors that creep over time. The blackberry is running an operating system just like your PC is running windows and battery pull is the equivalent of a reboot / restart your computer.

  • BlackBerry Bold 9000 Blackberry Smartphones: What runs in the background?

I wanted to know if anyone knew which is always running in the background on the "BOLD".  When I start my "BOLD" in the morning, I check the memory and it shows that there are 26 MB available.  Now as the day progresses, I check it and it's way down to 6 to 8 MB.  I only check my emails and Twitter several times during the day and once I finished, I make sure that Twitter is closed and only shows do not in my launch as still running.  Anyone can shed some light on this?

Then, no matter who never installed a hybrid OS www.bbhybrids.net?  These hybrids, I understand, are expected to take less space on your memory flash (128 on the "BOLD" for OS) and run a heck everything a lot faster.  Is true and will be OK to do?  In addition, what the app "shrink a BONE" bbhybrids.net offers?  Anyone done this?  It work?

    Thank you!

Oh, and your memory, from 26 MB to 6-8 mb during the day could be dependent on other issues, you may have other applications and UberTwitter. Even leaving it keep a little a lot of data and cache in the app that does not release before that happen a battery pull. Same thing with some other applications like Pandora and BerryWeather and many others. The BlackBerry browser too.

  • BlackBerry smartphones, what are the benefits of using the spindle to spindle and BBM?

I have not used BBM again but was compose and send messages pins (peer-to-peer). Is this the same thing as the BBM and what are the benefits of each? Are they better than just SMS?  Would like to have an explanation, because I'm confused!  Thank you!!

BBM and PIN messages are messages sent from one BlackBerry to another.  The message is composed by the sender and goes through the secure server of the RIM before being delivered to the recipient.  They are only available for BlackBerry users.

The thing I like about them, it is how you can see if they have been received by the recipient.  Once the message reaches the recipient's phone, you will notice a small would be "at the beginning of your message.  In other words, that it is delivered.  When the recipient opens the message, who had "will change to a 'R' for 'reading'.  So now you know that it is actually received by the recipient.

One more great thing about these messages, it's that there is no length limit.  As you probably know, most carriers limit SMS 160 characters; not the case with these messages, they can be much longer.

BBM and PIN messages are of the same type of message, but with PIN messages, you are limited to just contact reception.  With BBM, you can have a lot of contacts on a cat, or you can broadcast a message to multiple contacts at the same time.

I hope this explains things for you.

  • BlackBerry smartphones, what is the maximum size MicroSD card that can be used in a 8310?

I have browsed the positions and don't see it asked or answered.  What is the maximum size MicroSD card that can be used in a 8310?

According to what your BlackBerry OS is tells you what size microSD card you can buy. You can check under Options | Topic (will appear as v4.xx.xxx). Look at the table on the following link to see what size you can get - http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB05461

  • BlackBerry smartphones, what is the difference between the messages icon and the one with my e-mail address as title?

Hi, I'm new to blackberry. I just got a "BOLD", and some of the icons seem to be redundant. If someone could explain why I would really appreciate it. I had trouble getting the results of a search of forum so I apologize if this topic has been discussed recently.

What is the difference between 'messages' (which looks like an envelope) and the other envelope with the globe on it (which appears as [email protected])?

Can I delete one? I don't understand why there are two.

Also, why is it "medianet" and "browser"? They aren't going to the same place? What is an AT & T thing where they try to control the universe?

    Thanks for your help,

    KG

With the BlackBerry, you can have up to 10 "BIS" (BlackBerry Internet Service) email addresses, but also a company e-mail sent to your BlackBerry address.  It is also SMS (text) messages, PIN of PIIN messages and MMS messages.

Each BIS email address gets its own icon which will appear only this e-mail by e-mail address.  The Messages icon ALL E-mail addresses sent to the BlackBerry.  It will also display all messages in pine and optionally show the SMS (text) messages and phone calls, and IM still active cats.  But there is no icon for only PIN messages.

The fact that there is no way to separate the email from company to a simple icon is a point of contention for some users.  There is a product (Empower BES Mailbox - OTA / Web $20) which will create an icon that displays only the Enterprise email.  However, you can also create a saved search to display only the BES (BlackBerry Enterprise Server) email.

If you prefer using a simple icon of Messages or have separate icons for each email address is a matter of personal preference.  If you have only one or two emails being sent to your BlackBerry, there is probably little difference.  However, I have six accounts BIS as a BES account delivered and many prefer to have a place to look when I hear or feel that a new message has arrived.

In addition, equipped with a full QWERTY keyboard device, I'd rather be able to use the shortcut keys to access ALL the applications on my BlackBerry.  In fact, I have everything I don't need (including Messages, all messaging icons, address book, calendar, Notepad, etc.) in a folder called hidden since I never need them!

  • BlackBerry smartphones, what is a Jad file for?

    I downloaded Weatherbug: http://weather.weatherbug.com/mobile/blackberrystorm.html

Who puts a file Jad on my PC.  What I do with it?  The application loader is not recognize it.

Also I went to this page on my Storm, but the ability to upload isn't there.

HI and welcome to the forums,

If I remember correctly, the simple explanation is that the JAD is a "pointer" to the POT that is the effective application of the OTA.

Point your browser Strom http://blackberry.weatherbug.com/storm/storm.jad .

This will allow you to install Over the Air

  • BlackBerry smartphones to organize your music and podcasts.

    Greetings!

I need a multimedia application for my desktop which will allow me to organize the music and podcasts, and then transfer them on my 8350i. Currently, I use a Zune and its software, but want to start using the BB for convenience.

I am running Vista and apparently its incompatible with the Media Manager (spent all day with technical support, no response) I can drag and drop individual songs from the Explorer to the BB, but not playlists or albums.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! (if you haven't guessed, I know squat about computers, the non-technical answers would be most useful)

If your files are organized on your PC: with all the songs of an album, in a folder and playlist from the album in this folder then you can simply drag-and - drop whole album. Then the playlist will be recognized by the appliance.

Alternatively, you can use 'appl itunes' or 'windows media player' on your PC and then use BlackBerry Media Sync 2.0 on your PC, allowing you to synchronize the music between iTunes/WMP playlists and your multimedia Application on your BlackBerry.

    Media Sync is free.

  • BlackBerry smartphones, what is this icon?

    Hey guys and girls,

I am a new user of Blackberry (blackberry 1!) and I still see this icon . I looked through the manual, performed a search on Google and this forum and I could not find an answer. Is the icon Center on the screen just above the application icons.

    Thanks for your help!

    g

    I bet that's exactly what it is, I see the< symbol="">

I just put my calls forward and symbol appears on my home screen, as well.

Press your green dial key to enter the call log > Menu > Options > Call Forwarding and do not forward and this symbol will disappear.

But plesae not that change your call forwarding may affect your voicemail settings, so do it with caution.
