  I have (very foolishly, I might add) has changed the file format of a backup file for my Passport of Blackberry from bbb to rar.

  Now I can't seem to find a way to return to bbb, BB link is unable to recognize my backup.

  How, exactly, did you change the actual file format?

  Or did you just change the bbb to rar file extension? If so, then the actual file format is unchanged, but the software LINK indeed would need to see it with a bbb file extension in order to make it work.

  Please specify the details, on the surface, it seems like it should be a very easy solution... just change the file extension to bbb, via some file manager app is it on any computer you use.

Update Facebook on the blackberry world app store. the last update will wipe your app software and download new one that NEVER let you use the app. It will redirect you to the Web site using the internet connection. BlackBerry decided not to support the apps more. now, personally I only don't look now and again so no biigy for me but I'm not sure who would use much of the data or would it be the same amount.

• Does not start blackBerry Smartphone App World on Curve 9300

  I received a notification that Blackberry World 4.3.0.32 was available on 21 May.  Has launched the process of update, but was informed that I didn't have enough memory available to move forward.  Cleaned space and tried again... without success.  Now world BB does not start (no error message just remains to the home screen).

  I reinstalled via 'http://ca.blackberry.com/apps/blackberry-world/download.html'.  Everything was going well an installation process, but it does not solve the problem.

  O/s version 6.0 Bundle 2647

  Current installed App World - 4.3.0.26

  I did the usual, including the "pop drums" restarts, but to no avail.

  Thanks for the reply.

  I would suggest to create a backup of your data through BlackBerry Desktop Software (device > backup).  When finished, and then follow the steps in this Article: www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB14058 and test BlackBerry World before you restore all the data.

  On your PC (you cannot do this on MAC):

  1) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

  (2) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

  • http://us.BlackBerry.com/apps-software/desktop/?lid=us:BBsoftwareesktopSoftware & Cal = us: bbsoftware

  (3) download and install to your PC, the BB OS package you want:

  • http://us.BlackBerry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

  (4) If this OS package comes from one carrier other carrier for which your BB was built, then remove, on your PC, all copies of the SELLER. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

  • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
  • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

  (5) run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC. If, during the process, your BB votre BB a '507' error, simply unplug the power cord of the BB USB and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.

  Do not forget to save.

  If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

  The easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):

  1) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

  (2) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

  • It does not matter which carrier... the best normal advice is to choose the most recent, you can find (as pointed out the OS level bytes - 7.1.0.912's latest que.861, which is even more recent que.821.

  Nope... once a device is unlocked to the carrier, only the plant BB can (legally) re - lock.

  Good job on the recovery! But all is not lost for your data. If you did the update via your PC, then in the early stages of the process should have been a backup of your data (assuming you do not defeat this feature). If you're on a PC, then look for in your entire hard drive to a file with the extension of the IPD (*.) If you still receive the error message that it is not available in your country, please try to reload BlackBerry.com in your browser by pressing Command + Shift + R on Mac, or CTRL + F5 on Windows. You can also try clear all the cache of your browser, and then restart the application.

  In conclusion, if you want to have a job entirely BlackBerry link, you must have the following components:

  -BlackBerryLink.msi

  -BlackBerryDeviceManager.msi

  -BlackBerryCommunicationManager.msi

  Each of them is the regular installation in the following directory:

  -Cache C:\ProgramData\Package

  Earlier this week my blackberry software is no longer connected to my USB connected playbbok.  Today, it didn't connect to my Q10.  She is also not connected and all attempts will fail to connect.
