BlackBerry software synchronization unsuccessful in BBLink Q10 for Windows Contacts - data source not valid

I have previously synced my contacts of my Q10 to Windows Vista Contacts (I don't use Outlook), but tonight, I received the error message that the synchronization has failed.  When I click on "View recent activity", it says "invalid data source.  When BBLink started synchronization attempt, the yellow sign with the exclamation appeared.  What does that mean?

I have the sense of synchronization configured as 1-way sync to the computer.

BBLink shows Q10 to be connected with the USB cable (and WiFi).  My backup of the Q10 device was successful.

I have not changed anything.  Does anyone have a solution?  I really need to back up my contacts.  I am running the latest version of BBLink, but I can't find the version number anywhere in the application.  Where can I find it?

For the version of Link, when opened click on Preferences, about.

Click clear all in the show recent activity.

I found no info yet on the yellow Board.

Delete all of your temporary files on your PC, then try the synchronization.

I reformatted and retryed with the same result. I tried a different HARD disk, but got the same trouble. I also tried installing XP Pro after a reformat and got the same error.   • Error blackBerry software - synchronization failed, impossible to deal with organizing data

    I had a Q10 Blackberry last week.  I downloaded and installed the PC of Blackberry link 1.2.2.13 version.  Two-way sync USB worked fine.  Now, all of a sudden, I get the error message "synchronization failed, impossible to deal with organizing data."   I tried to reset the synchronization options, but not joy.  Also tried to uninstall and reinstall the software Link 1.2.2.13, once again no joy.  Any suggestions?

    UPDATE: I spent 4 hours on the phone and the remote session with the help of Blackberry last night.  After doing some troubleshooting to isolate the problem, determined that something on the device caused the problem of Outlook synchronization. One thing I've learned, it's that it can take a long time to synchronize and even though the progress of the screen may appear frozen, let it go until the end - sometimes it took 20-25 minutes, but eventually completed. Here's the process we went through - I would recommend appellant help BB and work with them to make sure you have not accidentally delete Outlook contacts and calendar of important information of your PC or BB device!.

    (1) we tried an uninstall/reinstall the PC Link BB software and that did not fix the problem.

    (2) to isolate the problem of synchronization.  We first did a synchronization of 2 channels 'contacts' and 'calendar' and who was a failure.  Then did a synchronization of only 2 channels 'contacts' and managed.  Then did a synchronization of only 2-way 'calendar' and that was a failure - so the problem was linked to calendar data and something on the device has been the cause of the problem or corrupted.

    (3) link BB allowing us to make a backup complete unit.

    4) then decided to do a 'Wipe security' on the device of BB Q10 to erase all the data and settings and return to a clean boot device configuration.  I was nervous about it - make double sure that Outlook all contacts and calendar data on the device and the PC are completely backed up in case something bad happens.  Nothing serious happened, but I was gald, we made the backup!

    (5) has the 'Security Wipe' feature (on the device, the settings > Security and privacy > wipe security) and phone rebooted without problems (takes a while to do).

    (6) then used link BB to do a sync test 1 channel 'contacts and calendar' from PC to device.  It worked without problem.

    (7) we then used BB link do a "restore" full backup of device, as we did in step 3 above.  It takes a while to make and was a success.

    (8) once the restoration of the aircraft was complete, BB link configured to perform a synchronization of 2 channels of the two 'contacts' and 'calendar '.  Does the synchronization and was a success.  Did a test by adding the new entry of the calendar on PC and did another 2-way sync - all worked very well.  Seems that the problem has been corrected, but will follow in the coming days.

    Lessons learned:

    (1) If you have a lot of Outlook contacts and calendar entries, the synchronization may take a long time.  Be patient and let it run - even if it seems stuck, etc!

    (2) save all Outlook data on the device and the PC to make sure that you have a backup something bad happened during troubleshooting.  We had not something bad happens, but I was gald we made a backup anyway.

    (2) call BB help - support person, I worked with was fabulous, even if it took some time to work through a patch.

    The transfer of data from a backup to Protect legacy differs from doing backup/restore. It's something special that they have created, only in the case of transfer of a device in a device BB10. I don't have my camera in front of me now, but I thought that the text says explicitly restore is available for a device BB10 from a legacy backup only. In any case, you can stop the search because non-existent capacity with BB10.

    You are in a difficult situation. To use the LINK, I think that you must either MAC or WIN7 +, which of course the EoL WinXP. So with your configuration, the LINK is out.

    I would recommend that you look rather something like ultimate backup... it can back up on your SD card and even several cloud services (I test currently it backup on MS OneDrive... it back up, but I still actually have to try a restore). If you are using the best practices of non local contacts/calendar (for example, you have a service such as Google OTA our Outlook.com integrated like CalDav/Mac OS x Server or EAS), then your device isn't actually the 'master' of these data in any case... the OTA service is the 'master. Which means that after any event that results in a need to reconfigure or restore, you are in fact not restoring contacts or calendar and rather than the data can repopulate the device from the server of the OTA.

    I actually can't remember the last time that I actually did a backup LINK. I use online services for my contacts and calendar, so those who do not need support upward (or doing E-mail because by definition it's OTA). I regularly copy manually (via the USB Drive mode) the content of my camera and memory card support and also to keep a good document of all my accounts, credentials, added apps, home screen configurations (I take screenshots and save those) and other configuration items that I change from their default values. So when I do a refill of BONE, TISSUE or other activity, I do even not all restoration... instead I use this document to reconfigure everything and just re - copy, return to the equipment, these items in memory of the device (I keep very little anyway). I don't remember the last time I've actually run a true restoration based on the BINDING.

    When I try to sync my controller wireless receiver for windows, the guide button light moving in a circle for a bit and the light on the receiver flashes, then guide button on the controller just flashes while the receiver is solid.  I am running windows XPI tested on two other computers (also XP) and my 360, it syncs very well, and the quadrant 1player lights.

    I installed the software supplied with the controller.
    I tried all the usb ports on my computer.
    I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software several times.
    I have a wireless mouse, and I tried to unplug and turn it off.
    I moved the receiver away from all other objects.

    I am running out of ideas and don't know why it won't work.  Can anyone help?

    Sorry if this topic will cover many, but browsing the forums I found some conflicting info and thought that it easier to ask you if I had it correct.

    I'm ready to virtualize our Active Directory environment and put all our virtual machines RODCs.  We have an environment with 8 ESX hosts and vCenter 4.1.  Most VMs are Windows member servers, but also several RHEL servers and a few non-domaine joined Windows servers.  We have also two domain controllers that are already virtual machines.  I'm down to the last physical domain controller which is our role PDC FSMO server so the Master Timekeeper.

    That's how I was going to change our Setup for the services of time with all being virtual domain controllers.

    1. the virtual FSMO PDC of our clocks of field it is time via w32tm to an external time such as us.pool.ntp.org source. That's the only DC with an external time source.
    2. all the domain joined machines Windows, whether virtual or physical (servers and clients OS) get their time via the domain controllers.  PDC-> all the other DCs-> clients and member servers.  On VMS, we do not use VMTools do a time synchronization. Throughout the normal Windows AD process.
    3. all ESX hosts serve time source external PDC, described above.
    4. all the non-domaine attached (Windows or Linux) machines that are virtual machines get their time synchronization via the VMTools Sync feature.
    Have I not my correct thought and not its ok to ensure synchronization of time between the field in a virtualized ad environment?

    That sounds about right, and I've implemented almost identical to this designs. The key is, as you say, do not sync using the time host via VMware Tools, in particular on the role of the PDCe.
