Can someone tell me if there is a way to reboot the phone without the battery.

While I do not have a storm check out this post. I know that many people use apps like QuickPull to perform a soft reset.

    I bought a Blackberry Storm 2 9950 of Verizone the United States 16 months ago and after two months I went to live in the Mexico. I got my unlocked BB and I used services Movistar with any problems until two months ago that I started facing problems for you to connect.

    I went to check this with Movistar carrier here at the Mexico, but support guys told me that it is a device of another company that they can help with configuration problems, or does not endorse her. He suggested me to throw it in the trash and buy another of his company.

    I got my Blackberry Storm 2 work back Friday last 13 overnight. I don't really know what had happened or who I have to thank for this one. But I'm happy to have my camera works again.

    I did not change any configuration, any more than some adjust I found here in this forum.

    I want to know after full charge of the battery of the BB storm 2 9550 phone, NORMALLY how long can be used to get the 'low battery '.  Because im confused. I can use only 01 day after a full charge. If I load full this morning, morning Tomarrow its already low battery or need to load early before. My battery is very recent. Week 01.

    # What I want to say, is that, for me, 1 day was 'normal '. There is no way to predict what that 'normal' will be for anyone other than myself. But, if you feel the need to charge every day, then your experience would be the same as mine and for me, it was 'normal '. Only you can determine whether an interval of a day is 'normal' for you.

    (I honestly think that your experience is 'normal', but I just have no way to State with certainty.)

    I have a storm 2 9550 unlocked verizon. I have used with service bb Airtel in India. Recently, because of their 3 G I got a BSNL sim with service of bb and I'm trying to use the same device on their network. It is not save with the bb network. I am not able to send and receive text messages too. I cannot go into default browser, but can travel with bolt. I can't use Appworld either. BSNL says that it is properly implemented at their end. Is there anything I can do to be at the service of bsnl bb?

    You may not believe, but I am tired to explain this to people BSNL and switched to Vodafone. With that, the activation took about 30 minutes!

    your phone must be connected to a power source to use Hey siri since you have an iphone 5.  Most recent iphone don't need to be plugged into a power source.

    Since the installation process froze and more, simply on restart - I tried rebooting several times-and then I rebooted the phone on the safe mode and woila. Phone has finally worked and finished upgrading (it was still plugged in). Omxter thanks for your reply.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Storm 2 (9550) Telus - will not update

    I tried to update to update my Storm 2.

    TELUS said there is a de.32.712 update but when I try to update it starts and then tells me to check my internet connection and try again.  Of course, retry does nothing.

    I tried it on my laptop and I thought that was the problem.

    I moved from Northern Ontario and I now live in Toronto.  WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?

    I changed my phone number.

    I now have my desktop hooked up and the same thing is happening with an ethernet connection.   Therefore, it is not the internet.

    I was able to install the latest version of Desktop Manager.

    It starts to back up and then has a problem.   So the next time that I supported first.  When I went to upgrade, he wanted to back up again, but I unchecked it.  He immediately said that I had a problem with the internet connection and try again later.

    I have a dictionary on my blackberry right on the device memory.  Dict. MS to execute.

    I wonder if that's the problem.   I thought it was the laptop mass storage device problem, but now I see that does not work on my desktop also.

    Sorry for the delay in responding.

    As web-based charger does not work, I would suggest doing the following:

    1. go to https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do?code=02A32AD2669E6FE298E607FE7CC0E1A0

    2. download the software of the device for your BlackBerry Storm 9550 5.0.0.712

    3 install the software and tap on finish once he did install.

    4. navigate to the location where Loader.exe is installed. The default location is C:\Program Files\Common Research In Motion\AppLoader.
    5. start Loader.exe. The Application Loader Wizard window opens.
    6. when the Communications Port selection window opens, select a PIN number for one of the BlackBerry smartphones connected to the personal computer. Click Next.
    7. the Application Loader Wizard opens the selection of the Application device. Select any other languages or applications in the selection window, and then click Next.
    8. click on Finish. The BlackBerry smartphone will be improved with the appropriate software.

    Hey all the... my storm unlocks by itself after I click the button locking... the screen remains so forever.  Ive had this phone for a few months and just noticed this today.  Someone knows how to do ten this?

    If it is a new problem, there is one thing to try first to see if that solves the problem - do a battery pull.  Just open the back of the phone and while the phone is turned on, remove the battery for 30 seconds, reinsert the battery and wait for the phone to reboot (~ 5 minutes).  If this does not help, the next step is to check the settings of your screen.  Go to Options > keyboard/screen.  Check that your backlight delay is set on an appropriate delay time (e.g. 30 or 45 seconds) and automatically Dim backlight is enabled.

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Storm 2 (on Vodafone in the United Kingdom) does not connect to WiFi properly.

    I'm having a problem with my Storm 2 right now - it does not connect to the router wireless home properly.  Router is a wireless G of Belkin model.   The page "Manage the Conections" shows the connected device (green text, but - no checkmark) and the status page shows that he has an IP address assigned to it.  This is confirmed from the listing routers DHCP client.  But the WiFi icon remains Gray and I cannot get the phone to authenticate to confiure the accounts email outside the company.  Failed attempts to addresses of ping inside or outside the LAN with timeout errors.

    Can one suggest a solution to this is iiue please - even if it has replace the router!

    My first curve from T-mobile returned 1 day later.  During this time it restarts to 50 times.  Obviously defective.

    The other do not restart, but the right button was almost impossible to grow.  He returned and got a warranty Exchange.

    I managed to create a Phonegap .bar file (my application is written in HTML 5 and Javascript).

    Now, I don't know what to do with this .bar file to get on my phone (before that I have send to BlackBerry World, I need to double-check CSS issues).

    On my BlackBerry 7 application, I simply created a Web page and has made a link to download a .jad file, which, in turn, set the properties of the .cod.

    For BlackBerry 10, I'm not sure of the process. Download directly says 'Cannot open the file'.bar file on BlackBerry, and using the .jad file it just opens the .jad file in a text file...

    Any help please?

    Another question - when I used my signing keys? Only for the BlackBerry world upload or when I actually create the app?

    You can use development tools to deploy on the device. Look at deploying blackberry command line. Give him the bar code device and IP access.

    I hope someone can help me, I have installed FourSquare, but when I put the permissions I wrong something, that now the Blackberry turns on as soon as I get a warning "Foursquare could not access a file" and an ok button.

    I click ok but it appears immediately return to again and again.

    I can't do anything else on the phone with this popup, but when I click ok it disappears not long enough for me to get into the phone and provide aything or remove the application, it appears again...

    It turns out that the Blackberry Desktop Software has been able to hit straight by the mistake, and I was able to select the faulty application and remove through COMICS.

    Took more than 30 minutes to process of removal and reinstall everything and I had to then go into all my apps and reset the settings, but it's a small price to pay!

    You can always update your firmware with iTunes. But it seems you might have a larger, likely hardware problem with your phone.

    Try to restore the firmware with iTunes. If this does not help, make an appointment with a genius at the Apple Store.
