BlackBerry sync

Just back up my address book of BB.  However, the only viable solution I had for the backup was Windows Vista Native Application.  How do I access the WVNA?

Hi Liskins,

You cannot use the native application in Windows Vista to synchronize the blackberry. For this you must install Blackberry desktop Manager.

Check out the link:

http://us.BlackBerry.com/apps-software/desktop/

a. click on sync Blackberry icon installed on the desktop of the computer to activate the application.

b. plug the connector USB Blackberry Blackberry, then the USB port on the computer.

c. turn on the monitor to the Blackberry. You should see a dialog box titled "Blackberry Desktop Manager". In the icons in this dialog box, select "Synchronize" to start the Blackberry synchronization.

d. Select the checkbox "Synchronize Organizer data" in the dialog box sync.

e. Select the 'Configuration' tab in the dialog box to synchronize. Then click the "Configure Synch" button to configure the Sync feature.

f. Select the check box next to each of the data options you want to transfer between the computer and the Blackberry. The variety and the names of these options depends on the communication software that you use on the computer.

g. return to initial synchronization screen by clicking on the tab "synchronize". Then choose the button "Synchronize now" in the dialog box

Hope this information is useful.

Does sync Passport seamlessly with iCal, iPhoto, Contacts etc. on Mac and iPads, or mixture of Blackberry bypass Apple completely applications

Thinking of upgrading my iPhone 4 s. logical step is the iPhone 6 due to how Apple integrates devices, but the Passport looks like a phone.

I've upgraded from an iPhone 5 and are very happy with the passport and how it works with my Mac.

    TL; Dr

Synchronization of a passport with Mac works fine for everything else photos. ICloud same sync works fine. Photos also works, but not as easy as it is with the iPhone and a mac. The BlackBerry has a lot of productivity as a bonus feature.

The timing looks like this for me:

-Music, timings of passport via BlackBerry link, works very well. No need to convert songs to iTunes, link them he finds himself. Easy.

-E - books, I transfer books and other files via BlackBerry mixture. He has a very good file manager and records for books are already there. Easy.

-Files, see above. File management is easier than the iPhone and iTunes. More control. Easy.

-Calendar, email and contacts, the passport of BlackBerry has a calendar way better than the iPhone. The e-mail client is also much better. All synchronization via iCloud flawless.

-Photos, the link is supposed to sync t with iPhoto, but I did not it works. And besides I use Aperture. I I want the synchronization of the picture, I have to manually transfer the photos via the file manager. Hard, but not a big deal for me.

And the Passport is a really good device communications and productivity. Physical keyboard, I missed it so much! A large touch screen that works well for playback of all. And little things, as a special note app taken easily accessible during phone calls and with the notes related to the call, super nice.

I'm just a user who doesn't want my calendar or contacts in everyone 'cloud.'  If I understand it right now, there is no synchronization local, wired or wireless, between his computer and his Q10.  Is this correct?  If so,.

    1. when they finally made 'working on it', it will be just a software update not involving only not a new material, right? and

    2. in the meantime, if we can not 'sync' in the way that was done in the past, is there a way to transfer the calendar updated periodically and contact with the supplied data link option, like you would with photos etc?

    Hey capt84,

Welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums.

    Thanks for the question.

Wired one-way synchronization is available now, a two-way synchronization will be available at a later date.

There are options for wireless synchronization of contacts and calendar such as Gmail, Yahoo and Hotmail.  Or any e-mail account is configured with a Server ActiveSync.

  • BlackBerry sync Outlook 2007 Notes with BlackBerry classic software

On my old BlackBerry Curve I could synchronize Contacts, calendar and Notes with Outlook. Notes Sync seems not to be an option with the classics.

Does anyone know if there is a workaround or process in order to obtain the classic notes and keep them in sync with my Windows 7 PC? Thank you.

Update: I read another post regrding the same question on this forum and solved my problem, but not as I expected. The resolution is to install Evernote on the PC (Win 7) and re - install Evernote on the American (I had removed thinking I would never need it). I use Office 2007 and when I right click a note in Outlook I see an option to export to Evernote 5. I exported all my notes, and instantly they appeared on the BlackBerry.

Notes are always available in Outloook but synchronization only is in Evernote. At least I have my notes available on the BlackBerry. Everything is good now and I'm still discovering all of the goodies on the new classic.

Maybe someone knows somrthing I don't have and will answer, my question is what is so classic on a classic, the keyboard?

Classic quid software to synchronize Notes, anyone can do except BB.

Look at what this software has said: "our product restores the classic legacy USB come with BlackBerry devices sync feature.

  • Yahoo of Smartphones blackBerry sync?

Have I lost it, or why can't sync Yahoo version 4.3? 4.2 worked flawlessly. The support Web page says that Yahoo PIM is an option of synchronization to 4.3. Thanks for your help!

    Hi jimnickerson

If you don't see the option to choose Yahoo to synchronize with you can try to follow this KB article

This article essentially sets out to save a dll file by following these instructions:

    Close the BlackBerry Desktop Manager

Windows XP: go to start, run and type CMD

Windows Vista - go to start, programs, accessories, click with the right button on command prompt and select run as administrator

In the command line window, type the following:

    CD "\Program Files\Research in Motion\BlackBerry\IS71 Connectors\Yahoo connector"

    regsvr32 DCSXlator.dll

    Try to synchronize again.

If you can choose from Yahoo, but have synchronization problems, please give more details including measures you take to synchronize, you get error messages, etc.

    I suggest this thread:

It begins with a process to start properly and there is an exchange of views, and there is also a post (15) with links to earlier versions of the Software Desktop, if those who are needed. Note that this is not, by any means, guaranteed to work... but it worked to much to solve the problems they have.

  • Smartphones blackBerry sync a Blackberry Pearl 8100 to a Sony Ericsson earpiece/Headset Bluetooth wireless

Via Bluetooth, I synced my Blackberry 8100 Pearl for my Sony Ericson Bloothtooth Headset HBH-DS200 stereo.  The devices are connected, but when I play music from the phone, music comes out of the Blackberry speaker rather than the helmet of the Sony Ericsson headset Sony Ericson is A2DP compatible.  Does anyone know if the Pearl 8100 is compatible A2DP and yes there at - it an option to disable this active or disabled on the phone?

I see in the instructions for Blackberry on the 8100 that the "Source Audio" profile is A2DP but how do to this profile source?  From Sony Ericsson's Web site says the Blackbery 8300 is compatible with the headset, but did not mention the Pearl 8100. Thank you.  Miles

The 8100 is only compatible A2DP if you improve its OS to OS 4.5.  Look into the Options > on.  If it says 4.2.x.x, then you need to upgrade.

  • BlackBerry sync with Google Calendar Blackberry smartphones

HI, I managed to sync my main calendar for my Blackberry, but it doesn't seem to synchronize my other google calendars.

I have 3 Calenders, one for me, one for CHILDREN that I share with my husband (and I also need this calendar on my blackberry to remember the events of those of children) and the calendar of my husband.

At present, it is only to sync my main calendar. Does anyone know a way around it, so that it can synchronize all 3?

    Thank you!!

While urhamilton gives good advice, as a new user I would offer that it could simply be that you didn't Sync to use all three.   I had the same problem and didn't you open Google Sync, go to Menu (the button left of the click wheel) and go to Options. There you can select the calendars to sync with.  I also have three and it works fine.

  • BlackBerry sync with Outlook - 16 000 entries takes 41 minutes calendar Smartphones to synchronize.

I'm trying to move on to my new 8330 and leave my Palm Tungsten T3.  I transferred all my data on my new 8330, but when I go to sync data, it takes 41 + minutes to finish a backup 16 000 + on my calendar entries.  I'm missing is stupidly simple environment (be it on my computer, handheld or desktop software) which will speed up the synchronization process significantly or I need other other than the Blackberry Desktop software to do the job.

Is it possible to accelerate the backup of all my data along?  My T3 takes about two minutes.

I think I found my own answer to this question.  I was back up my Outlook data and in order to be 100% safe with him, set data to write one way, to Outlook on my Blackberry.  I learned to play later, and after having had a few back ups of the data on flash drives, etc. I changed the flow of data and data from my Blackberry to replace the data in Outlook.  The end result is that the backup takes less than two minutes.

I'll continue to frequent back ups of my outlook data, but overcame this major problem of time to talk back data two ways.
