BlackBerry Tablet OS SDK for Adobe air 2.0 problems with Flash Builder

Hello world

I have problems to install the Tablet OS SDK 2.0.0. It says incorrect directory when I select the directory that contains the Flash builder. I tried with v4.0 and v4.5 that I am on windows 7 64 bit.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm just get started with developing applications for the playbook, so please bear with my ignorance.

Best regards

Gowtham

  • Future of the Tablet OS SDK for Adobe AIR

    It has been months since the last update to the AIR SDK. With all the excitement surrounding the NDK, I'm starting to think I may need to re - write my application from scratch to have access to the PB magnetometer and gyroscope. I'm no expert air but have learned to appreciate the power of the Adobe platform. But I also believe that its value is strongly decreased because of Lake access to sensors, BlueTooth. and the statement of the API. There is a whole class of advanced applications that are missing from the App World due to the RIM footdragging.

    It is my understanding that AIR applications running on the desktop computer can access native libraries for things like BlueTooth and other material that is not directly supported. I don't understand why RIM has not yet published a simple extension to ActionScript so that I can complete my app.

    Is this too much to ask for an official update from the vision of the RIM for the AIR SDK?

    Personally, I think that more serious comments are noticed, discussed and propagated upwards when appropriate, and few things we are dealing with here are surprising in any way with persons on BOARD.

    I think that in most cases, things that we complain are well understood, and they have plans to deal with a lot or most of them in the future releases (some may imminent, judging by reports in the last two days).

    And I think that RIM expects a lot of these things, but simply felt forced into a strategy of liberation at the beginning (maybe a good strategy, if she somehow influenced things related to the TouchPad by RIM being first) with a lot of these things still in the works. I do not think that they have been "footdragging" much or at all, but are simply work very hard and invisibly for us, to bring us all these goodies as soon as possible. I can only wish for more transparency and communication on this subject, but their culture does not seem right now aligned with these principles.

  • What is the difference between these Adobe Air SKD folder locations in flash Builder 4.7?

    So I can fall AIR SDK within the Adobe Flash built 4.7 (64-bit) / folder SDK (less 4.6.0) - according to the instructions in the tutorials of adobe.tv Starling, or, according to the docs, Adobe labs, put them in eclipse/plugins/com.adobe.flash.compiler_4.7.0.349722/AIRSDK

    Who is right? What is the difference? I do both to hedge my bets?

    Thanks in advance for not confusing me!

    "SDK" is for the Flex SDK.

    "AIRSDK" contains the SDK included with FB 4.7 3.4 AIR.

  • PromptDialog question (BlackBerry® Tablet OS SDK Adobe Air)

    I have the following code to display a prompt dialog box in which you can enter text after a user clicks on a button. The prompt dialog box displays 2 buttons: OK and cancel. Whatever button I click, the program is never in the "onPromptButtonClicked" event listener function (I don't see the text "Hello" in the debug output).

    What I'm doing wrong here?

    private function onBtnAddTextClicked (event: MouseEvent): void {}
    var promptromptDialog = new PromptDialog();

    prompt. Title = "Title";
    prompt.message = "Please enter the text:";
    prompt.addButton ("OK");
    prompt.addButton ("Cancel");
    prompt.addEventListener (DialogEvent.DIALOG_BUTTON_CLICKED, onPromptButtonClicked);
    prompt. Show();
    }

    private void onPromptButtonClicked(event___ialogEvent):void {}
    trace ("Hello world");
    }

    Hey eugenevk,

    Yes unfortunately this is a bug and I hope it gets fixed soon. It has been discussed on the forums prior and work around it was the following:

    Replace:

    prompt.addEventListener(DialogEvent.DIALOG_BUTTON_CLICKED, onPromptButtonClicked);

    with:

    prompt.addEventListener(Event.SELECT, onPromptButtonClicked);

    and he must do what you need to do. Here is a reference thread if you need more information:

    hope that helps. Good luck!

  • error 'BlackBerry Tablet OS SDK 0.9.4 for Adobe AIR does not support mobile projects."

    Hello

    I installed Adobe Flash Builder Burrito and Blackberry Tablet OS SDK 0.9.4 on Windows 7. When I start to create a new project by selecting the ' New/ActionScript Mobile Project' menu, then in the new dialog box project of Mobile of ActionScript, I give a project name, and then choose 'BlackBerry Tablet OS SDK 0.9.4 for Adobe Air. At this point, the 'Next' button is gray on an error message on top as "BlackBerry Tablet OS SDK 0.9.4 for Adobe AIR does not support mobile projects.". Is there something that I am missing?

    I read somewhere someone comlains error message "BlackBerry Tablet OS SDK 0.9.4 for Adobe AIR support not projects mobile." occurs after installing Blackberry Tablet OS SDK 0.9.4 while there is no problem with Blackberry Tablet OS SDK 0.9.3. If it is true, where can I download Blackberry Tablet OS SDK 0.9.3?

    Thank you very much in advance,

    John

    @johnwneg, make sure that when installing FB Burrito, you:

    (1) run the installer as administrator.

    (2) select English International rather than NA English.

    Hi all

    How to navigate through the file to the blackberry playbook using Tablet blackberry OS for Adobe Air SDK.

    And also I want to download this file on the server.

    Help me by providing examples of coding.

    Thanks in advance.

    Here are some tips to help you get started.  It all depends on the terms that you use for your search.  For the first, I would use "adobe air browse file."  For the second, I start with only a variation as "adobe air download file" and then adjust according to the first results.

  • Evaluation system for Adobe air

    Hello

    I wonder how to ask users to rate my apps.

    I want to like this

    http://Livedoor.blogimg.jp/socialgame_blog/IMGs/5/8/58b0ccc0.PNG

    Does anyone know how to do this?

    It is ENA that can display a native dialog box, and if the user chooses to rate the app you can link to page listing for the app store that you use. Or you can simply design your own set of boxes, which even match the look of your game, and again, then send them to the quote page. If you use iTunes, the URL go you would be like this:

    http://iTunes.Apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewContentsUserReviews?ID=123456789&PAG eNumber = 0 & sortOrdering = 2 & type = purple + software & mt = 8

    where ID is the id of this app.

    Another thing, you could do is use a DONKEY that does more for you, like RateBox for example:

  • How to use AIR SDK with Flash Builder 4.6 3.8?

    Until now I was using AIR SDK 3.6 with Flash Builder 4.6 on mac OS X, with a known method of new sdk "rsyncing" and patch the xml-s config files, but now, I downloaded the new version of 3.8 SDK Beta, because I tried to update, and this method fails. For a new project, Flex Mobile, I get the compilation error "could not resolve < s:TabbedViewNavigatorApplication > to a component implementation, problem Flex"...

    I see on the AIR SDK download page http://labs.Adobe.com/downloads/air.html there are two versions of the SDK, one is the compiler 2.0 level one is for users of Flex... What should I download and update with Flash Builder 4.6?

    This new SDK can be used even on FB 4.6? or is supported only for FB 4.7?

    Thank you.

    You can use http://labsdownload.adobe.com/pub/labs/flashruntimes/air/air3-8_sdk_sa_mac.tbz2 with the FB 4.6. Here are the steps to overlay the sdk

    1 exit Flash Builder.

    2. (optional) save for the Flex SDK kit by copying the directory.

    In Flash Builder, for example, to copy the directory to:

    • Mac OS: / Applications/Adobe Flash Builder 4.7/sdks/4.6.0

    3. download the AIR SDK file appropriate for your operating system for example http://labsdownload.adobe.com/pub/labs/flashruntimes/air/air3-8_sdk_sa_mac.tbz2, unzip it and save it on your MAC OS X.

    4. in the Terminal, run the following command

    Ditto sudo/path/air3-8_sdk_sa_mac Applications/Adobe\ Flash\ Builder\ 4.6/sdks/4.6.0

    5. (optional) to access the new AIR API 3.8, update your application descriptor file to the namespace 3.8.

    ' To update the namespace, change the xmlns attribute in the application descriptor to: http://ns.adobe.com/air/application/3.8 ">

    6. (optional) to ensure that the version of the SWF file output SWF 21 targets, pass a the additional compiler argument:-swf-version = 21.

    Hope this will help.

    Kind regards

    Hichem

  • AIR SDK 2.6 incompatible with Flash Builder 4?

    I just installed the new AIR SDK 2.6 but FB4 complains each swc in the libs folder file is "incompatible with this SDK" when I switch to design mode. The application compiles and works very well, I can't see it in Design view in FB4.

    Everyone knows about this problem? I tried to delete my Flash Builder 4 C:\Users\ < username > folder-in restarting FB4 in case it was a dubious profile, but it made no difference.
