I recommend reloading your operating system.  To do this, connect your phone to your PC via USB and open BlackBerry Desktop Software.  The first thing you need to do is a backup of the data.  When your phone has been recognized, click device at the top, and then click Backup.  Once the backup is complete, restore your phone by clicking on the device and then restore.  Choose the most recent retore point and load.  Because your 'back' button works for your phone Safe Mode, we know that this is not a hardware problem, in order to restore your phone should solve the problem.

[I know it happens probably, but I have personally never heard of all iPhone users never bricklaying.] [This is one of the reasons contributing to the Apple are taken seriously as a consumer company and RIM not taken particularly seriously, not more.]

    Hi sdgardne,

    Thanks for your advice.

In fact, until you sent [even if you did respond pretty quickly] I had read somewhere that the question I had seems to be caused by the device trying to save [Yes it * was * an OTA update, I was trying to] and run out of space.

Tellingly, the process seemed stuck, several times, while the backup process was trying to save my settings social feeds, files etc.

Because I followed a lot of people on Twitter [5.4 K] and also FB may have back-up stuck at that stage was not surprising.

So I tried to restart the process of updating together, via the desktop software.

I managed to restart and paradoxically, I could right there break the cycle re-try to auto by the software update.

I then cancelled the update total.

Then I deleted Social RSS, Twitter and Facebook.

Then I restarted the process of new - OTA update as it happens.

This time, though lengthy, the update was successful.

I'm now trying to reinstall the demolished Apps.

    See you soon.

[No, did I forget to save before you restart the update!]

    Skinz Hello,

I would say to do a reload own the BlackBerry® device software, as shown here: http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/KB11320, please test before you restore all data on the device.

If this resolves the problem do a selective restore of critical data (address book, calendar, tasks, notes, BBM, contacts etc.).

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BlackBerry Torch 9850 PC board of the battery problem.

For the last couple days, my torch 9850 has been emptying faster than usual. The drainage rate was about 4.31% per hour. Unfortunately today, I was with my flashlight to take a photo when I watched the battery indicator drain about 80% of yellow to the red outline with the flashing led in under 2 minutes. The phone also randomly off followed by a solid red led, followed by 2 red blinks. Since this morning, I put a good known in battery. He killed that, in about 15 minutes. The only third party application that I have is The Weather Channel. The only application running is phone, SMS, email and contacts. I reloaded the software the first time that drain you.

    Hello!

I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

  • Deleted mailbox of blackBerry Smartphones that appear in the messages folder

I have a Bold 9900. I deleted my boxes to the letters but its always appearing in the Messages folder. Its so annoying can someone please help :-(

Still confused, because I do not see you. By "record", I assume you mean the separate E-mail icon that was created when you went ahead and created the email account this time again? When it works correctly, you have really no duplicates - instead, you have the same email showing in two different places... one 'mirror' of the other, in a sense.

But in fact should not do, however, so I'll notify then what do you is of (please, this time, to do this and nothing more!):

    1. Remove all THE email accounts of this device
    2. Perform a battery pull reboot
    3. Drive again the steps of the post 4 above (this time, however, please tell me that "done you these steps"... Please confirm each step translates exactly as I indicated above)
    4. Delete your database of Messages (note that this will delete probably all messages, including SMS history... you have to be careful because you realize this)
      • KB10167 How to clear data from the BlackBerry Smartphone user
    5. Perform another batt-pull reboot

This isn't a matter of BlackBerry, there is a problem with your operator. Your carrier represents different monthly data packets, not RIM.

You must address this issue with your carrier.

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Torch 9800 completely erased during the update

When I plugged my phone into the computer to charge, an update came on the bb Desktop Manager - to update to 6.0 Bundle 2467 - and I started the update.  After a few minutes, I realized that I have to back up my phone before the update but Office bb wouldn't let me - he said that HE had to be updated.  If the device software update paused until the Office update was complete.  When it was over, the update of the device continued... and I have no back upward.

Somewhere in the middle of the update (after about half an hour) the phone blinked, there was funny "beep" and a message came that the update could not continue.  The phone has rebooted, but was stuck at about 65%.   I let it sit for a few minutes, still doesn't move do not.  Pulled the battery, let stand a few minutes like that and then reintegrated.  Began to restart, then won again at the same place.  Taken from the battery after a few more minutes and wait for about 15 minutes.

When I put the battery back, the phone quickly started completely... but because the updater won Mid-implementation to date ALL is lost! Contacts, calendar, memos.

Is it possible to recover whatever it is? Or all my data lost somewhere in cyberspace is?

    * There is a small file, about 5 MB called Contacts Blackberry so I thought I could synchronize the files from there, but I don't know how!

Can anyone help?  Really aggravated in this topic...

Hello and welcome to the community!

First of all, we will be sure your BB works correctly and with the proper operating system. Is it? What you have said, I can't say for sure. If it does not work, then you can reload your new OS itself, just to be sure. Don't worry about all the data on your BB... he already went there now (based on what you said).

For your data, Desktop software must have made a backup during the update process... sometimes, we offer the chance to overcome that... I hope that you do not have. In any case search your computer for files with the extension of the IPD or BBB (depending on the version of the Desktop software you use)... These are the files that would have been created on your computer when the update process performed the backup. Look at the time, the files were created... created around the time you were doing the update are candidates to perform a restore of your BB.

Otherwise, if you had made use of yourself of the free app of the BB Protect your data are indeed "in the clouds" available for to restore you.

In addition, if you use a Desktop Organizer (for example, Outlook), which must contain your data.

In addition, if you have none of these, then you have indeed now met data loss, which is sad indeed.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones that will synchronize the functions of Outlook 2010?

    Hi from a pre-newbie

'Before' because I have not yet bought a Blackberry, but it is seriously considering.  A big thing that is really important to me, but...

Can the "bits" of Outlook 2010 synchronize with a Blackberry?  To be precise, I really want to synchronize the following features in Outlook 2010 with equivalent enforcement in the Blackberry:

    Calendar

    Contacts

    Tasks

Notes would be desirable, but not essential.  Email, too, is desirable but not essential (I can use the web to access when I'm on the road).

I must point out that my Outlook 2010 works standalone on my desktop PC and that it is not connected to Exchange.

A Blackberry, with its associated desktop software, could meet my needs?

Thank you very much in advance for your comments.

    Thack

    Thack says:

Can the "bits" of Outlook 2010 synchronize with a Blackberry?

Make sure that Outlook 2010, 32-bit, and 64-bit package.

    Thack says:

    Calendar

    Contacts

    Tasks

    Notes

Yes, on all four of the above.

Not on email, on a personal account of BIS. BES will reconcile your emails, but not a personal plan of BIS.

You will set up your email to place the smart phone BlackBerry directly from your mail server.

Yes, just enter the 10 attempts. When the 10th attempt is reached, the device will wipe all the data and you can start over.
