BlackBerry Wifi classic only

I go to a place with no cell phone coverage. However, there is wifi.  Is it possible in text using the wifi with an application any.  I have a Bold 9900,

You will not be able to send text messages. You should be able to use BBM on wifi, however. See if your contacts with what you intend to discuss can install BBM.

  • BlackBerry Wifi classic takes into account people with disabilities

All my wifi accounts have for some unknown reason unilaterally disabled themselves.  I went on the account I use normally and tried to turn it into active, but it does not work.  I've restarted both my router and my Blackberry.  The router works fine for my laptop.  I tried to connect using WPS without result.  I also double-checked that the password of the account is correct.

Can anyone suggest how I can make it work again, please?

Try to delete that saved WiFi, reboot your Classic with press button 10 seconds then re - connect to the WiFi.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BBM w / WiFi works only after changing SIM card not

    Hello

I need help (otherwise I would not write here). I have the Bold 9930. Until I left the States, my phone was working perfectly fine... I had an email, BBM, whatsapp, text, etc...

When I arrived in Haiti, I wanted to change my SIM card, then I would be able to use / have a number of Haitian. I don't have an international plan. When the guy put my the Haitian SIM, the phone asked my BlackBerry ID and password. I typed all the two, which were both correct, but he told me that it was a wrong password. The guy told me that the only way I'd be able to 'reset' from my BlackBerry ID would be to disconnect and to do this, it would eliminate all my pictures and everything. I didn't do that so I ended up buying a Haitian phone w / a Haitian SIM card.

At this point, I have two phones. An American with a SIM American (BlackBerry) and a Haitian phone with a SIM card that is Haitian.

When I got home, I turned on my American phone and its WiFi, but my BBM and emails were NOT WORKING! However, my Facebook application and the browser are both works perfectly well.

I restarted my phone several times since yesterday and nothing has changed. I checked this morning to see if it worked, but not luck.

So my question (s) / issue (s) is now:

    1. How can I get my BBM works again? (probably the most important)

    2. How can I get my email working again?

    3. is it possible possible for me to have my BlackBerry (US phone) work with my Haitian SIM card?

    Please, please, please, help.

Unfortunately, the device works as expected. Facebook, the wifi browser work fine on wifi but BBM and email REQUIRE a valid BlackBerry data Plan.

The only way to make it work is to have a BlackBerry data Plan on the Haitian Sim Card.

  • BlackBerry 10 classic Otter for BB case would help sales...

    Dear Blackberry,

All Blackberry phones that I have owned, including my current model, was fitted with a case of Otter to protect it from bumps and drops.  These cases are fantastic!  If my wife does not use a Blackberry, she protects her phone with a case of Otter.  Please CONTACT OTTER CASE WITH THE CLASSIC SPECIFICATIONS SO THAT I CAN MOVE on to a CLASSIC BLACKBERRY without fear of destroying my phone to live without a protective case!  Thank you!

As well, I was looking for to get an OtterBox for my classic.  Unfortunately they have not produced a still.  However, I found a very similar case produced by Incipio and for a very reasonable price.  I had the OtterBox commuter case for my 9900 and loved (I give it a 10 out of 10).  The Incipio would get a 8 out of 10 simply because the rubber compound seems a little more difficult, and the case does not come with a screen protector.  I am, however, very happy with it and would not my classic without it.  The case is called "Shine DualPro" and you can buy it directly, but I found it in a local store for the same price online store (so no additional shipping charges).

  • Email to Smartphones blackBerry & Wifi - overseas

    Hello!

I'm about to head overseas and must take my blackberry with me for calls/texts. I have currently push my emails on my BB but wonder if you can assign so even if the phone is turned on - emails will only check if connected to a Wifi hotspot or if there is some kind of send and receive some option? I'm still to upgrate to "BOLD", but it's my plan...

Basically, I don't want huge roaming charges, but want to be able to check my mails when connected to wifi...

Thank you in advance for your help!

It's true.  Data services refers to any BlackBerry data such as browsing, e-mail or application data.  Make sure prior to activation of your services data that you're connected to Wi - Fi.  If you want to make sure that no data is delivered through your connection to the Mobile network, disable it before you activate your data services.

Its a bit of a workaround heavy but it will certainly do the trick!

  • Smartphones made BIS blackBerry wifi relay depend on the type of plan BIS?

    Hi all

a few days back I bought my first BB (Curve 8520) & activated Plan BIS LITE BSNL (India) (access to unlimited email only, no navigation software, no social networks etc.) which is perfect for my needs.

My problem is I can not BIS data on wifi - indication of the white dashboard instead of green check in front of the option of wifi connection, no email via wifi, only navigation is possible.  As my office basement where GSM Signal is not available, I seriously need BIS on Wifi.

I tried the same thing which is given in the different forms of reset wifi diagnostics, bb ip ping, Telnet, HRT WIFI 60 registration to reset etc as many times & also did much about customer service but could not get my problem is solved.

After all communications, that of BSNL customer service finally told me that I can access BIS Services on Wifi only if I take BIS (which is 3 times more expensive than my current & quite useless for my needs) unlimited & with my current Plan I cannot access BIS on wifi.

This is meaningless, fundamentally, I don't believe it, never read or heard anywhere. Document of BB under the topic below for access to blackberry data services through wifi does not mention an opposition like that!

    h t t p: //uk.blackberry.com/ataglance/networks/Accessing_BlackBerry_Data_Services_Via_Wi-Fi.pdf

    Please confirm is that so?

    Please help me guys

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Carriers indeed each they control the services they provide in respect of different data plans. In addition, at the bottom of the page 6 of the document you quoted, it says:

Check with your service provider for supported services and features wireless. Not all data plans Blackberry supports Wi - Fi access to BlackBerry data services.

So it seems that your carrier does not, under the plan, you have access to BIS via the WiFi infrastructure.

    Best!

  • WiFi Solution - only wifi network

    Hey

I live in Israel and how I get internet home is via a special modem that is also a router, this whole box is called HotBox.

The quality of this refrigerator is VERY bad, but it's the only way to get internet here...

Since I was little systems in my house requiring some specific open ports (smart home hub and dvr security cameras) the hotbox is really bad with the opening of the ports so I had to do a bridge inside mode, so it works as a modem and connected on it (some not expensive tp-link I'll change with time) an extra to work as opening and router port solution router.

    so far, it works fine.

The House is large in the territory and I thought the best solution to extend the internet into an area away from the House, the basement which has thick walls and wifi signal is difficult to achieve...

The inside of the wall, I have an ethernet cable that goes from the main tp-link router in the basement and there I connected a time capsule Airport (model 2014 if it made a difference, the new type of orders one) which gives wifi in the basement and an additional airport specially for the single harder.

Everything works fine but a small thing, in the upper part of the House, I have Tp-link network (say 1) and in the basement, I have a different time capsule (Network2) wifi network.

My question is how can I do the work of the entire system on a single network?

I have to do the time capsule as a bridge or configure it somehow differently?

Or is it still possible to do?

Thank you very much for your help in advance!

My question is how can I do the work of the entire system on a single network?

Change the name of the network wireless on the Time Capsule so that it will be exactly the same as the name of the TP-Link network.

In the example below, you can see the name of my wireless network is TWNDB. If I wanted to change the name, I change / move back the current name and then type the new name I wanted to use.

I have to do the time capsule as a bridge or configure it somehow differently?

The Capsule should already be configured in Bridge Mode if it has been implemented correctly, who calls Apple 'Off (Bridge Mode). If it isn't, then you must change the setting on the network tab, ensure the Capsule is in 'Off (Bridge Mode).

  • WIFI works only on Portege Z830-10Z not running OpenSuse 12.1

    Hi people

I bought a Toshiba Ultrabook Z830 Z, after that I dug through the net and found a few positive comments on this laptop on Linux. I installed linux opensuse 12.1.

Everything goes well and smoothly, but the WIFI does not work... It's may be completely normal for a laptop and linux...

So I started to find the reason... review dmesg and so on...
Driver is installed and running, but in short, it's the rfkill-guy, that kills my wireless...

'rfkill list' showed me that my wlan has ' strong blocked: Yes

I am not able to unlock through "rfkill unblock. It only works with soft blocked items...
All the time the wlan-led to the laptop is on.

Does anyone know how to "unlock" the hard blocked thing...
The laptop has no physical switch at all...

    Thank you
    CJM

The WiFi never worked? It may be broken or disconnected inside.

  • Portege Z30-a-1E1 - WIFI connection only 150Mbps

    Hello

Today, I received my Toshiba Portege z30-a-1e1 running Win7. I've updated all the drivers, firmware and of course Windows itself. Unfortunately the WiFi only connects up to 150 Mbps (router configured to 5 GHz only, 40 MHz wide only, only N and auto channel selection, WPA2 Personal). Other laptops at home are connecting with up to 260Mbps (even 7 Asus F8v). Portrege shows that it is connected with the 802.11n standard.

Any suggestion that I can do to activate the higher speed connectivity.

    Kind regards
    Blazej

    Hello

150 megabits per second transfer is not a bad value for 802.11 WLan N standard.
WLan highest transfer rate depends strongly on factors such antenna Wlan, WLan miniPCI and environment module.

Wikipedia gives this info on the standard 802.11 N standard:
… Assuming that the operating parameters equal to an 802.11 network g reach 54 megabits per second (on a single channel of 20 MHz with a single antenna), an 802.11n network can reach 72 megabits per second (on a single 20 MHz with a single channel antenna and ns 400 guard interval); of 802.11n speed can go up to 150 megabits per second, if there are no other shows Bluetooth, oven microwave or WiFi in the area using two channels of 20 MHz 40 MHz mode. If several antennas are used, then 802.11n can go up to 288 megabits per second mode of 20 MHz with four antennas, or 600 megabits per second in mode to 40 MHz with four antennas and 400 ns guard interval...

  • Classic BlackBerry BB classic: can not load completely while the power is on

    Madam/Sir,

I just bought a classic BlackBerry Q20. My problems are:

    1. I can't fully charge the unit while it is on. If it is enabled, the battery power stops at 60%, no other.

    2. If I load normal when the unit is off, Yes, it will charge up to 100% with green led. However, when I turn on the device, it will start exactly in factory setting. All data, applications and updates are missing.

My question: what should I do? I downloaded the link BlackBerry and BlackBerry mixture, in their latest version. I also supported the unit entirely. But when this happens, and when I tried to restore the device with the last backup, the message is that my device is having a different setting with which stores the link of BlackBerry.
