  Just got my Z10 a week ago and I love it.  Figuring a few more of the workings, but I usually enjoy.  Only one strange thing is that in my BB Hub, the "SMS" words are actually in French - 'Text Missatges' and I can't understand how to change it. The rest of my BB is in English.  I tried to change the language of the camera and that did nothing.  I think it might be a software problem?

  I noticed that when I receive text messages on my Z10, my saved contacts are not recognized. the sender comes in the form of number with the prefix of the country. However when I tried to save my numbers of contacts with the country code, when I recievce calls, they come there in the form of numbers and not the name of the person/people.

  I just saved my 2This contact numbers. Since I was the opiton to save more than one number, I save the number with and witoout the prefix of the country. so now, I can see touch when I get SMS and calls.

  Depending on the level of the OS you have, one of the two following:

  • Home screen > Messages > > Options > General Options

  In there is a parameter which controls whether TEXT Messages are separated or combined with Messages.

  -OR-

  • Home screen > Messages > Inbox settings

  A checkbox it will combine with Messages (if enabled) or separate (if not checked)

  Select the "speaker" icon (if you choose, loud, vibrate, etc.) scroll to advanced and select.  This is where you can choose the tone for each action.

  Hello.  New to the forum and not super good filled in with what this phone can do.  It seems that maybe once a month that my log of phone calls and SMS text messages disappear.  I'm not all messages if... some messages stay in the newspaper, but all my calls, present and many of receipt simply disappear.  That happened last night and the memory on my legacy 3 690 821 bytes.  Any ideas?  And are lost forever, or is it possible to recover.  I have now understood how to save them, but would like to return the others if possible.

  If you select the phone number and press Menu, you may find the command "copy into the address book.

  I know that if you dial this number in the call log, you will have this choice, for numbers not in your address book.

  Instead select the message and then hit at the time by selecting the next message to read.

  When you type a message, I sometimes see an Insert Word (green) governing the space key that prevent me from using it.  I can't continue and eventually accept the suggestion of incorrect word and then to remove it so that I can continue.  Please tell us how to get around this problem.   Just to add, there is a personal dictionary where you can add words in option. I built this. You can also disable the automatic text feature. Some people did as well. I prefer to use the automatic text feature. Built in help section in the phone has information about how to use the function comes out and use the options.

  I have an email which I want to keep for future reference.  If I just leave it on the HUB, I'm afraid that I may accidentally delete by mistake.  However, I can't find any way to save it.  Also, in my email HUB I can't create a folder of recorded message.

  Can someone advise please how to record a message?

  Thanks for your help.  I called Godaddy.  Because I use a POP account, I can't add a folder saved on my account but emails are not deleted from the server after deleting in Z10.

  An IMAP will allow me to add a saved mail folder, but the messages will be deleted from the server after deleting in Z10.

  In this context, I decided to keep waiting on the server is much more important and so I decided to keep things as they are.  Your help is appreciated by which I can make an informed decision.

  I just changed to the Q10 of the 9930.  On my 9930, I was able to add my signature to any message by typing 'Sig' because I saved my signature under this abbreviation.  Is it possible to define also upward on Q10?  I mean that I put it on the BIS recording there website.

  Nevermind, I figured out what to do.  I forgot that I had gone in and added a word substitution for "sig" so whenever I type "GIS" in a text is written my signature.
