  so I updated my software the 10.2.1.3062 weekend and since then have not been getting informed when I get a text message. No sound or LED.   OK, so after having spent 5 hours or more on the phone with technical supports. We were able to solve this problem.  First, make a full backup of your phone in the blackberry link, that was what I had to do a security wipe (wipe parameters, Secutiry and privacy, security). Once it was full, I did a full restore using this backup file that was created and taadaa it's all fixed. of course there is some Setup involved again. (for example, passwords for applications etc..) but my notifications are working again.

  If you have changed "SMS and Email" to separate boxes? On my machine, I had to look in my Applications folder to find the icon 'SMS and MMS '. After that I found it, I was able to move on the home screen.
