  I have the same drive, but it works without problem. I know that DVD-RAM media are expensive, but all I can suggest is you buy another provider and check if it will happen again.

  If you are using Windows and you're using a USB connection, try the steps in this document: HP Laserjet products - "Device setup has not completed" or the "Unknown device" Message appears in Windows during Installation of USB.
