Blu Ray compatibility.

I have the drive HP DVD RW AD - 7701 H ATA came with my laptop HP G60-630, and to this day, the drivers are up-to-date.
I am able to play Blu Ray discs? I have a software (Cyberlink DVD suite 8) which gives the possibility to play a Blu - Ray disc, but since I don't have any Blu - Ray movies to try, I was wondering if I could pop in and have this function to work...

Hello

I'm afraid that the optical drive of your laptop does not support playback of Blu Ray.  That support the Blu Ray readers generally, BD under the number of the device.

I hope this helps.

Best wishes

  • P900 and burner Blu - ray 45K 1675

I'm considering adding the Blu - ray burner 45K 1675 Lenovo to my P900 workstation. Lists compatibility for the burner, however, don't mention any of the P-series workstations. It should be standard optical SATA device, but just to make sure - is there a reason why it might not work/adjustment on the P900?

Site Web: Lenovo's mentions that the burner is delivered with burning/reading software. Could you confirm that it is still the case. Or is the software for download?

Edit: while I'm... Is there maybe a Lenovo slim Blu - ray burner option that would work in the adapter in the modular Bay, next to the MCR 29-in-1? There used to be a feature of Blu - ray slim SATA for ThinkPads, but I'm not quite sure it is compatible.

Yes, K 45, 1675 will work. Front bays are tool-free and will allow this player to drop in without anything else required except another SATA cable.

If you already have the modular Bay ODD/MCR, you can pick up a Blu - Ray drive ultra slim LG CU20N. This model has a short scope and must match instead of the original 9.5 mm ODD. ODD choice is important because some readers of 9.5 mm have dials senior and some short. There could be others that match, but the CU20N is used an OEM drive for a large number of sellers.

I'm not aware of a Lenovo 9.5 mm BDR that would work unless you are ready to use a portable device and swap the bevels. Most of the ThinkPad readers have custom dials and none of ThinkServers I know options BDR.

  • How upgrade Aspire 5750 on Blu Ray?

I love my Aspire 5750 (I use to make this post), but I'd love to upgrade the DVD Blu Ray.  Are there specific readers recommended out of the box, or are those I should avoid due to hardware compatibility problems?  I know that I can get parts and readers about anywhere online, but I would like to know what should I look for in particular.  Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Hi liganimc

I found a Blu Ray drive for your computer laptop here, but it is a company based in the United Kingdom (but they do an expedition around the world!). As it is designed for the 5750, there will be no compatibility issues. You'll need is a software to run Blu Ray movies.

  • Mount the blu - ray drive in my 5830tg timelinex

    Hello world

    I am a proud owner/user a aspire timelinex 5830tg.

I would like to mount a drive to blu ray rather than the stock dvd burner, and I was wondering if there are problems of compatibility with third party products; I'm not bothered with the looks (perhaps different bezel), but just with the feature: would it actually perfectly inside the status bar and connect to the motherboard?

The 5830tg should not have any problems with a Blueray.

  • Drive Blu - ray for g62-455dx

I would like to replace my DVD drive internal stock (599062-001) with a Blu - ray player.  Partsurfer site does not list a Blu - ray drive for my computer laptop, g62-455dx, but I don't see Blu - ray discs for other models g62.  Specifically, I see the drive 599063-001 listed, but I don't know if it will work with my laptop.

Is drive compatibility just make to it the device physically fits in my laptop?  Or are there other requirements of the machine, such as the BIOS support or discrete video adapter?  I understand that I need software Blu - ray.

It's just a matter of physical compatibility. Even if you have the Intel HD video which is sufficient to support playback of Blu - Ray. Caveat that if you have a display of 1366 x 768 Blu-Rays looks not very different from DVDs. Windows will provide a generic driver optical drive to a very basic layer of the operating system that you want to mount as a volume and a function higher as DVD and Blu - Ray playback and burning disc is provided by Windows or third-party software.

As long as the drive is the right thickness (9.5 to 12 mm) and SATA (like all Blu - Ray players) it will slide into the hole and connect. You may need to Exchange facades to maintain perfect chassis and color coordination.

How to read a blu ray movie in family vista premium sp1, my blu ray drive is an optiarc bdrom bc5500s with a provider of firmware Rev 1.83 pc is an hp dv7-1095eo

Consult the following site who says he has a fix important firmware for your machine.  Maybe that's the answer: http://www.sony-optiarc.eu/supportservice/downloads/bluraydrivesnotebooks/bc5500s.html. (this page also includes support contact us links).  I don't know if you have to go through them or through HP, but it can't hurt to try.  If the player Blu Ray comes with your HP, you can NOT use this solution as it is does not work, but it can cause damage.  I don "t know how you have it so you have to answer this question, and then do the right thing (even if it means that you can't use the hotfix).

You can get in trouble with your device drivers.  Go to Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  Check for the blu ray devie and make sure it says that it is a blu ray devie drive (if it does not say blu ray in the description it likely somehow is not recognizing that it is a device of blu ray and pilots could be the answer). If you need to get the drivers (and you need to do at least for blu - ray device even if you installed from the disc supplied with the deivice - ago maybe more recent updates available for this device and your version of Vista and all the others you have time to do - they can help way beyond simply solve this problem) leave the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  In fact, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows: http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/. Follow these steps to get the drivers: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm.  Once you have the drivers, you can install them via the Manager device as follows: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html.

It is not a Vista problem from your description.  It looks like a driver problem devixe, some missing software or firmware that is necessary to make the camera to recognize blu ray discs, or a problem with the devicce himself.  You have another computer, you can connect to see if you can get it to work on this computer (or you can connect directly to your TV if it is an option).  If Yes, we know devixe works and it is something on the laptop that is at the origin of the problem.  Have you confirmed that this device is compatible with your version of Vista in the http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-vista/default.aspxVista Compatibility Center?

Another problem can be the software you use to play the movie - it cannot recognize or be able or read blu ray discs (or it can be so slow that you give before there actually loading times as I read that some may take a matter of several minutes before start).  What software you are using (name and version)?

Have you tried to contact the Helpdesk of brush head to see if they can help?  Because it's brand new, they should be happy to help you set up and work with you to resolve the problem with it being unable to recognize blu ray discs.  They met perhaps this situaton several times and have a solution easy availalble.  If the above does not work I give them a call and help you get them.  Again, I know not what provider, you must contact (but it it came with the machine, I think you deal with HP and what I read there is no solution available yet but things may have changed since that was sent)- but try both of them (one is bound to be willing and able to help you).

    I hope this helps.

  • Drive Blu - ray and ZR24W - success anyone?

I tried to connect a blu - ray player to my monitor ZR24W via the DVI on the monitor. I tried the following:

-Panasonic DMP-BD60 and LG BD350 blu - ray players

-Using a HDMI cable to DVI

    -Use of HDMI/DVI via a HDMI-DVI adapter.

With all these ups I had zero luck and it just repeat input out of range change your settings at 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz. I tried every setting possible on two blu - ray players, but absolutely nothing works.

I wonder if anyone has actually never had any success with their blu - ray with the monitor ZR24W player. Looking at the Tech Specs there is nothing no indication that there is a problem. The DP and DVI inputs are both HDCP and blu - ray may be output at 1080, then, it is in the appearance of the screen.

It's really a doin' my head as there is no reason why it shouldn't work.

Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I didn't mention that. Basically, they're trying to get rid of me by saying that it is a problem of compatibility. Frankly, I am very disappointed by the level of customer service that HP give me on this issue. Initially, it was very good, that is a long time on tech support to try to understand what happened followed by an engineer coming around a replacement unit. Now, it just seems as if they want to get rid of me!

"Updated... In my area 51 R2 packing list, I deduced that the optical drive is a 9.5 mm (' ultra thin ', I think) loading slot.  These discs are those on a Mac Book Pro, and while they have been seen on Windows laptops, they are few and far between. Lets hope that Dell will update the documentation/sales pitch for the R2 Area 51. A burner blu - ray with this form factor is the UJ-267 (Panasonic).

Readers of 9.5 mm have the same connectors to power/signal that most readers 'Slim' of 12.7 mm, but do not have a front frame, which requires the chassis to have a hole for the slot and a button that will be used to eject media on command.  This is consistent with the R2 Area 51.  They are also smaller than the 'slim' of 3.7 mm discs.

  • Discs Blu - Ray are not more recognized in Windows 7

    Hello

I have 2 laptops with internal blu - ray, who never stopped recognizing Blu - Ray discs. I live in the United Kingdom

A Blu - Ray drive is an Optiarc, the other a LG - PC with the Optiarc has Win 7 64 bit Ultimate and the brand-new PC with the LG drive has Win 7 64-bit Home Premium edition. Both drives are listed in the compatibility list - and were shipped preloaded with Win7.

They both played Blu - Ray discs in the past, but it is even more recognize them in the drive.

I ran Diagnostics from CD/DVD drive suggested in other similar topics, but the reader does not recognize the disks, it cannot solve the problem.

I uninstalled and reinstalled several times readers in Device Manager.

I also tried the fix involving the upper and lower filter removal in a registry key, also without success.

I tried to change AHCPI to AHT in my bios - my bios has no AHT, just AHCPI and IDE

I've installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled several different Blu - Ray software Acer Arcade, PowerDVD, TMT MediaTheatre Total, Slysoft AnyDVD HD and others. None no longer works.

I even restored the two default factory machines and reloaded drivers manufacturer - no luck.

The manufacturer, Acer, has even replaced one of the machines - when he arrived, he played all my blu - ray discs. After only a couple of windows update, it doesn't even recognize the discs.

As you can imagine, I am at a loss on how to fix it.

I noticed that the driver is installed when the hardware is detected is a Microsoft driver since 1996 - would this work with Blu Rays? No disc manufacturer provides a different driver, and update driver is the correct driver.

The compatibility list says that Blu - Ray discs should work with the default drivers installed

I'm quite proficient with PC hardware, after fixing computers for 21 years, but this question has me - and thousands like me on the web - absolutely perplexed. It seems to affect any player Blu Ray with Win 7 installed.

    Please can you help me

    Hello

Be sure to communicate with decision-makers readers as it is a known problem if it occurs regularly
with Windows 7. Also keep in touch with Acer for the same reasons - is planning to ask ALL those

Is it possible that you install the same software on the two computer such as antivirus/antispyware.

If you are sure that it's an update, you can try to remove the update or even re - install Windows 7 and
block the installation of updates so you can enable them one at a time.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD

    do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
