Blu ray upgrade

Can I put the DVD Blu Ray player on my DV4 WE 1430? With the core 2 duo, W7 64-bit.

DV4 1430US

Hello:

I recommend the roots in the BIOS and look at the available parameters.

On most of the HP of the consumer there are not many options in the BIOS of the PC.

While I have not looked extensively at the range of Blu - ray players you have to sort through to find the right one, unless that contained in States of Mobile Intel must also a discreet graphics card, I see no reason why it wouldn't work.

If that were the case, I think that HP would be listed Blue Ray drive for portable computers Intel equipped with discrete graphics only.

The video card in your laptop's HD, it should be able to play blue ray discs.

The only thing is that I doubt that your screen is a screen HD, so the best resolution you will get is 720 p, not 1080 p.

If your laptop comes with a DDR3 memory, I would be out max 8 GB since you have a 64-bit operating system.

The specs don't tell what type of memory it comes - the max is 8 GB.

Dv1200 maintenance manual says DDR2 which is very expensive, but perhaps the series changed dv1400 DDR3 memory.  The Intel 4 series chipset can run both types.

Who can help too.

You can watch a chip in your PC or run the free analysis tool of Crucial memory and it will take account of what type and how much memory you can install on your PC.

  • Engravers Blu - ray Samsung SE - 506 Monte is more after the upgrade of the El Capitan

    Hi all

MBP, in early 2008, El Capitan 10.11.2...

My Samsung Portable Blu - ray writer, SE-506CB/RSBD Monte is more after I upgraded to El Capitan, last week.  The drive itself is only a few months old.

The problem is not the USB ports, like other devices work fine with all the USB ports on my MBP.

Note that I'm NOT trying to read or write a Blu - ray disc.  I try only to play audio CDs, I've done successfully before the upgrade to El Capitan.

    Someone had this problem?

    Thank you...

For what it's worth, I have this problem as well.  The drive tray would not eject even with a single cable, so I switched to another.  I could then open the drawer (seems odd for me) but the disc would not rise.  Here's the info from the console log that indicates that the operating system is getting bad feedback from the pilot saying that the disk is defective.  This same drive/cable/disc work very well on my MacBook Air 10.10.5 and had worked perfectly well with this MBP even before the service (and "free" upgrade to EC by Apple).

  • Satellite L670 - upgrade to Blu - ray player

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite L670 and I was wondering if I could change the DVD player and put a Blu - Ray player.
    This can be done?

    Hi evilgr,

Theoretically, it should be no problem to upgrade to a Blu - ray player. Another Satellite L670 models when equipped with such propulsion, so theoretically there s no problem.

The best contact you are a service provider authorized in your country. Guys can tell you which drive is compatible and order it for you. Not all readers are compatible for all laptops, so it is important that you purchase a compatible player.

Please contact an authorized service provider. Guys can order such a unit.

  • How upgrade Aspire 5750 on Blu Ray?

I love my Aspire 5750 (I use to make this post), but I'd love to upgrade the DVD Blu Ray.  Are there specific readers recommended out of the box, or are those I should avoid due to hardware compatibility problems?  I know that I can get parts and readers about anywhere online, but I would like to know what should I look for in particular.  Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Hi liganimc

I found a Blu Ray drive for your computer laptop here, but it is a company based in the United Kingdom (but they do an expedition around the world!). As it is designed for the 5750, there will be no compatibility issues. You'll need is a software to run Blu Ray movies.

  • Not Surround sound more on Blu - ray player after upgrade by MediaSmart

When I used the Blu - ray player in my home theater, I selected the mode "HDMI pass" to get a sound surround. I came across a few new films that would not play and after the update from HP, the player would simply freeze as soon as there is audio present. I had to go to the Task Manager to close it.

MediaSmart works fine on the laptop, but it only freezes when I use the parameter "pass through HDMI.

I tried mode "HDMI pcm" and who does not work either. This Denon receiver there are five channels work but I get stereo sound on front speakers left and right. This seems to indicate that the Blu - ray player is not released in 5.1 surround sound and the laptop and the Denon receiver works fine.

Supports the HP solution was to reinstall the older driver or try a system restore. I know that a system restore won't do anything. The problem is in the new software. The new software does not work on my HDX18 when he was under Vista, it did not work when I upgraded to Windows 7 and it does not work on my new dv8.

I tried to contact CyberLink to let them know that the upgrade is giving problems, but I think they ignore me.

Personally, I think that HP or Cyberlink just forgot to add the drivers for a 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound.

If anyone find a solution to this one that I wouldn't be surprised. I'm quite sure I've covered all the possibilities, but you never know.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

HP had me download a software called K-Lite which is a software codec repairs and replacement. After the upgrade of the software more returned to get my blu - ray movies to work, I ran K-Lite and that did the trick.

    http://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm

I used the mega version, but you can probably use the standard.

It is a software complex with many choices and I changed it to accept a sound audio surround and DTS 7.1. There were several boxes prompting me to remove the broken codec which continued for some time and when it was all thanks to I was surprised that it worked.

Meanwhile CyberLink itself actually got back to me and I was given some temporary free software provide I run their diagnostic tool for them on my dv8 for helping them understand my problem. It is still pending.

  • upgrade to windows 8 and blue-ray no longer works

I have a HP elite hpe 570f clubhouse and I have upgraded to windows 8 and the blue-ray player no longer works.

Do you mean that the optical drive is no longer at all, or simply that he does not play Blu - ray discs? Windows 8 does not include any software that can play BD movies. Check whether the player can play a music CD, and if it is possible, you can probably just download the third-party BD playback software to play BD movies.

    @ nickobee

The discs are of standard size and are not specific model when it comes to ROM SATA DVD/CD/Blu-ray discs. Will work in all things.

The front plate and the rear mounting of your old drive can be removed and placed on the new drive to adapt to your machine.

The e - bay will work.

  • Question about upgrading to Blu - ray on the S70 Satellite-

I only discovered how easy it is to remove the current DVD on my Satellite S70 writer-(10 seconds) so no problem.

I see that there is a little paw on the back of the writer that allows the writer to be locked in place by the small screw that holds the cover of the HARD/Ramdisk in place

Can I buy a Blu Ray player that has this already mounted pod or I can fit the leg later?

Can someone suggest a Blu Ray player adapted to buy as a direct replacement.

Most of the laptops S70 - A is available with optical drives DVD-multi. Only few of them are provided with 9.5 MM BD - ROM unfortunately, I don't know what model of BD - ROM is exactly.
It is not easy to find information which model can be used on your machine.

I'm not 100% sure but it might be UJ162 UJ-162.

Let's see if someone else can find exact information on this subject.

In any case, in the worst case, you can order it and test it. If there is a problem simply return.

  • Blu Ray does not work after upgrade to Windows 7 64-bit

Hope someone can help with this problem. I found a lot of forum and users with similar problems but I can't solve this problem.

I bought this HP Pavilion DV7-1055EA about 3 years ago the drive blu - ray one of the points of sale, it was loaded with Vista 32 bit. After making this computer has 4 GB of RAM instead of 3, I did a clean install of windows 7 64-bit. After which my Blu Ray player stopped working.

When inserting a CD/DVD, the drive works fine and everything is as usual, however when insert a Blu Ray disc windows does not recognize the drive IE "drive is empty".

Different things, I tried to set the inclusion of the problem, reflashing the BIOS, install the latest firmware, re - install the game media, installed PowerDVD but without any change in the symptoms.

Can someone help with this problem? Well, I'm stuck on this one like blu ray readers are not my strong point in computers. Maybe HP (in their wisdom) printed a digital brand on the device which prevents him from being compatible with more recent versions of windows? I talked to HP however my warranty has expired I do not pay £15 for a fool to tell me to come back for win vista (which is the worst OS known to man kind) or that there is no solution available. Help, please?

    Hello

After writing this last post, so I decided to download Nero Info Tool to look at information from drive etc.

The program asked if I could put in a disc to test the speed of running, so I thought... what the hell I'll put in a blu - ray disc and see what happens.

Next thing I know that running speed test took place then everything suddenly the blu ray kicks in life and he was here... smooth as the more calm waters, known for the kind of man... my blu ray film.

Reboot the machine and now the blu - ray player works fine. Any idea on what just happened?
