Hello Tensa_Zangetsu,

Do you know what the exact when stop code it bluescreens?

I was curious as to whether or not we can boot to Safe Mode command prompt only.

If so, we can run the following command followed by the Enter key:

CHKDSK C: /f

This, until we do not get errors from her and then try to restart in Normal mode.

If the Safe Mode command prompt only does not work, we can start the recovery console and run the same command:

Let us know if you have any questions.

  • Blue Screen of death - now cannot load Windows (even in safe mode)

Laptop last night (Satellite L500-19Z;) Win 7 64 bit) crashed while playing CIV4. Had a blue screen of death. before I had the chance to read one of the error messages about the computer restarted.

It loaded windows in SafeMode very well then and informed me that he had loaded OK the problem safe mode will be linked to some recently installed software and I should uninstall programs I had installed until it loads normally. As it was late last night I closed and thought I would sort the morning (with the benefit of hindsight it may have been a mistake...).

Today, when the computer tries to start, it tries a startup repair; Unfortunately it does not work every time and it says "Startup Repair tried several times but still cannot determine the cause of the problem"

I looked at the paper it produces, but it passes all of the individual tests.

I can't access also advanced recovery options system & support, that appears in the Startup Repair dialog box as it requires that I be connected, which apparently I am not (probably the machine never got to the windows screen connection before attempting repair system). The error message reads "you must be logged to access system recovery options. If you encounter problems to connect, please contact your computer administrator for help. Please click OK to restart the computer. »

I had a go at the start in the advanced options (safe mode, safe mode with command etc., but the result is the same).

I also tried the repair of your computer to the screen option options advanced boot, but after the screen where it asks you to choose the language and keyboard, I get the same error of connection mentioned above.

Is it possible to repair or even run windows based hard drive recovery (do not have the DVD of recovery with me as I'm away from home for a few weeks) without connecting to windows? I expected here, but have not yet find a way to do it.

(there is no disc in the disc drive, no other devices connected to the laptop - I tried with power outlet and the battery and have not noticed differences)

    Thank you
    James

  • I downloaded an update and restarted my computer, received the blue screen of death shortly after the computer restarts. Now it does not start

I don't know when the downloaded update, the computer has been restarted on September 10, 2010 to install updates. Shortlyl once the computer is restarted, I got the blue screen of death.  with the details of error like:

Stop 0 x 000000050 (0 x 000000000000000, 0xFFFFF88001DCAE4, 0xFFFFF8A00B490027, 0 x 00000000000002) do not know if the number of zeros is exactly right in one of those, but it's super frustrating.

I tried to restart my computer in repair as recommended (get blue screen of death), I tried to reboot normally, loop just restart procedures asking if I want to restart in repair mode.  I tried SafeMode (BSOD), I tried to restart with last working restart (restart loops), I tried to choose the "Computer repair" BSOD I tried a diagnosis and all past.

    Help!

    Thank you.

So yes actually hear nothing helped me.  Seems that, given that the computer is not stopped correctly and my hard drive was not recognized there starting the cycle upward or give me the BSOD.  Put it in my Ubuntu CD spare which I've had since my last PC hard drive became corrupt and force back across my hard drive.  After doing this, I was able to do a boot repair, who led for the BSOD.  Not sure how that actually fixed, lost about 10 hours of my day.  So I guess I can chalk up to Microsoft and a reminder on why I should buy Mac for now on... an update shouldn't really cause such problems.

I get that not everyone has the same PC, so it is difficult to tell if an update is bad, but he should not do this and if an update is the cause of a certain segment of consumers who are updating must be taken down for everyone, or at least the users with the configuration that is known to have problems with an update.

Problem is solved, had to go back to a previous version of good boot where I have not install updates again.  Now, I'm trying to understand who was was bad, so I can leave my computer knows to ignore.

    Nice day.

Just in case someone needs to know how to use Ubuntu to back up files on their PC that does not load windows, please see the link below:

  • Why do I get the blue screen of DEATH most of the time when I try to print on my HP Office Jet printer?

Why do I get the blue screen of DEATH most of the time when I try to print on my HP Office Jet printer?  Almost everytime I try to print to the printer HP Office Jet m I get the Blue Screen of Death in the middle of printing or shortly after that my document is printed.  I then have to shut down my computer and restart it.  I am running Windows 7.

We need the log files themselves (called a DMP files) because they contain the only record of the sequence of events that led to the accident, what drivers have been loaded, and what has been loaded.

  • Blue screen of death: 0x0000007E, have tried many things and am stuck

Hi, since last night when you try to start windows vista sp1, I find myself with a blue screen. The only line is
stop: 0x000000E7... 4. follow more similar numbers, I am sorry that I have not exactly those with me right now. No specific file or error is referenced also.

    I have already tried:
    -Startup Repair (did nothing)
-System Restore (several points of system restore was successful but I still have a blue screen on reboot for example)
-chkdsk - was suggested and I ran it, but it found no errors (accessed via the Startup Repair menu command prompt)
-safe mode - all modes of Security 3 Blues the same screen when starting
-bios Dell diagnostics came out clean
-Memtest86 boot from USB was released with pass 100% and no error
I have not recently installed the drivers or programs

Any suggestions would be helpful! I do not want to reinstall windows, at this point a repair would be useful!

    Hi herestothenight22,

    1. how much memory stick (live RAM) you have on the computer?

    2. did you of recent changes on the computer?

If you have more than 1 GB of RAM installed on the computer, then I suggest that you remove all of the memory sticks and just keep 1 GB of RAM on the computer and check if it works.

    I hope this helps!

  • Blue screen. Windows does not start. Even on Safe Mode!

When I turned on my laptop the windows logo and everything is in place. But then comes the black screen and ask the options to start windows normally, start in safe mode, ect. I chose to start normally, then a blue screen appears which says that the computer has shut down to prevent damage. He said that I had to disable all anitivirus and other things that I don't have to read. I tried every other selection as start in safe mode, start in safe mode with command prompt, in the other options, I get the same blue screen. I really need to get this problem fixed. I have no CD of installition XP, I have no CD of restoration, I have nothing to work with, so I just need to know a way around it.

There is no magical way around that without any installation disc. Most laptops come with a picture of factory restore on a special partition on the hard drive. The factory restore process is normally called by pressing a key of function (such as F11) to start the computer. There will be a message as to what function key press the screen when you start your computer. You can also consult the manual of your computer or the computer mftr.'s site, or contact technical support to learn how to restore your computer if you plant from each computer mftr. He does it differently - sometimes even between models.

These machines also generally have a utility to create physical recovery disks in case the hard drive needs to be replaced or the factory restore image is somewhat damaged. If you have not created the recovery image recovery physical and damaged disks, contact technical support of computer mftr. to order a set of recovery disks. It is normally very expensive, around $20-25.

Before you try to restore the computer, you must determine if the material is good. You can test yourself:

    http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Hardware_Tshoot

A good troubleshooting step is to start with a Linux Live CD. I like Knoppix, but there are others. This has two advantages: 1) if the system works, you can back up all the data that missed your last backup; and (2) with the machine running Linux allows to determine whether the problems are caused by software or hardware. If the machine is unbearably slow and/or Linux cannot run correctly, you know that the hardware is at fault. If the machine behaves perfectly under Linux, you know that the software (Windows) is at fault.

If the equipment is faulty, if you replace it or not depends of which component is bad and the age of the machine.

If the material is good (maybe Windows has been severely infected with a virus/malware and that's why he no longer starts for example), then perform a restore if you plant using any method has been provided by the computer laptop mftr.

If you can't do the work yourself (and there is no shame in admitting this isn't your cup of tea), take the machine to a professional computer repair shop (not your local equivalent of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad).

    1. check with Nvidia Support, their drivers and documentation online and ask in their forums

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.

It's my generic how updates of appropriate driver: (video/driver update, BIOS, and)
    chipset drivers)

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/HT/driverdlmfgr.htm

Installation and update of drivers under Windows 7 (updated drivers manually using the methods above
It is preferable to ensure that the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system and device manufacturers are located)
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/43216-installing-updating-drivers-7-a.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it) and
Then, get new ones manually if you wish.

    1. Remove and replace Avast with MSE
    2. run a file system check to check (and repair if nec) operating system

Avast can be a cause of BSOD.

    Hi Chantelle,

We have two audits of bugs among the DPM attached:

    DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (d1)

This indicates that a kernel-mode driver attempted to access pageable memory with a high IRQL.

A driver tried to access a pageable (or that is completely invalid) address while the IRQL was too high. This bug check is usually caused by drivers who used a wrong address.

    -----------

By default, the fault of accidents is NETIO.sys which is network IO subsystem. This is not the real cause of the accident and usually when we associate network crashes like that, it is caused by one of two things:

1 network drivers themselves must be updated.

    2. 3rd party antivirus or firewall software cause of NETBIOS conflicts.

    CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED (ef)

This indicates that a critical system process died.

This could be a police problem.

You can write a check for corrupted fonts and duplicate and other police issues:

armel seconds to turn on my computer, it goes to the blue screen of death (IRQ_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL). When I load in safe mode, I have no internet access and can not look for solutions or try to solve any problems... Help, please!

    Oh and a Vista.

In addition to the suggestion of auggy you can try the following methods.

    Hello

You did changes to the computer before the show?

Method 1: If the problem does not occur in safe mode then put the computer to boot and check which third-party driver is causing the problem:

Note: after a repair, be sure to configure the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

Method 2: You can also try the steps from the link to fix the problem:

Method 3: You can also view the following link to resolve the problem:

Note: steps also apply to Windows Vista.

  • Di Shutdown does not work, got the blue screen, beware, if it's the 1st time, etc., bios .updated .shutdown worked for awhlie, then got the same blue screen on another attempt to stop

I had trouble with the fans so I unplugged everything, pulled out the memory and put it in. Shortly after received warning on a stop. I've updated the bios and things worked fine for one night. The following day I uninstaaled some programs and blue rebooted and got the screen again. I can right through the blue screen and sign, but have to stop with button / stop.

    Hello

What is the exact error message on blue screen?

This error message can point to a hardware or software that causes this problem. If the computer restarts after the Blue error screen, disable the automatic system failure restart option allows to capture the error message on blue screen.

Check if the problem persists in safe mode and after the same return.
