Bluetooth devices are offline in Windows 8.

Original title: my bluetooth devices are defined in offline in windows 8, and there is no way I can find to put online. Same problem a 2 different machines with windows 8 pro / 64 and 32-bit. All solutions?

Devices are detcted and installed, but they do not connect. Devices are marked as offline.

I turn them on and turn off, remove and reinstall (automatic detection and Driver Installation), but I have not yet found to establish a connection.

Did someone solved this problem in W8 pro?

PS: The problem is with different devices. For example sound2go Bluetooth speaker or Samsung Home Theater

Best regards and thanks for the helpful tips

Andreas

I followed this post to another thread and it works:

I chose to upgrade my Sony Viao VPCJ12LPOE (desktop all-in-one computer) from Windows 7 to Windows 8.  The compatibility of Windows 8 Checker advised that I should I uninstall the drviers of Bluetooth of Broadcom (Widcomm) Windows 7 because they are incompatible.

After the upgrade to Windows 8, while the rest worked fine but I was left without means to connect Bluetooth devices to my PC. (a problem reported elsewhere in these forums.

I applied the following fix today and everything now works fine.

Bluetooth is an on-board unit that need compatible drivers Windows 8.

To repeat: I've updated two days ago and suffered the loss of my Bluetooth after having been advised to uninstall the driver Broadcom (Widdcomm) before the upgrade.

Today I installed Windows 8 compatible Broadcom Bluetooth driver from Lenovo web page (see link below) and since, I've added the following blue tooth devices successfully to my PC which is now running Windows 8 (all now the connection): my IPhone 4s, my IPad 3, my Panasonic music with IPod/IPhone docking station Center and my Lumia 800 Windows Phone works.

Copy and paste this link into your browser and download and install the Bluetooth Driver for Broadcom (R) s1blt3us17.exe listed.

You will then see the icon Bluetooth appears in your task bar in the lower right of the desktop you after a reboot.  Right click and select "add a Bluetooth device".  This will take you to the page of 'Device' in Windows 8.  Turn the unit that you wish to be added in the coupling mode and click on the + button of the unit.

Once added, stay patient and not go clicking around until windows has installed device drivers (progress bar blue small will appear under the name of the device).

Once completed, you find a new TILE will add on Windows 8 "splash screen" for each unit added.  Click on the tile for the device and the "set Bluetooth will start and appear on your screen.  From there, you will see the device you just added, and you can click on 'connect' (to link) and "disconnect" (to disconnect once connected).

I know that it works and my instructions here can trust completely.

Good luck.  Trevor.

  • ThinkPad W520 Win7 Bluetooth device not recognized by Windows 7

    Hi all

Just got my Thinkpad W520 4270 CTO with bluetooth installed. It was a work station BACK I installed Win 7 x 64 Ultimate on and I finally got all the drivers installed, but the bluetooth software says it is no BT device connected to my laptop. I checked the BIOS settings and confirmed that the BT is enabled. I even turned off, saved, then he helped turn. Hit the Fn + 5 combo does not trigger the light or no matter what 'Found New Hardware'. When the laptop starts first BT light flashes and the wifi led and the HARD drive activity light. I was not yet able to load another OS, but I download Arch Linux and BackTrack 5 to test to see that it is perhaps a problem with OS.

Thoughts or ideas would be useful, it seems that my Google-Fu me has missed as well.

EDIT: I realize in the sticky on the "do not update the bluetooth drivers" but I do not get my bluetooth to work at all, not even recognized by the operating system as an "unknown device".

I thought about it. It is ridiculously easy. Download the drivers for the keyboard shortcut key and install. It allow you to use the functions at the top of your keyboard, and then after reboot, press Fn + F5 and will you will get a menu to activate the Bluetooth on the operating system, then Win7 should detect and install the drivers for it, or you can download those from the Lenovo site.

    Hello

I'm new to this forum and I hope that someone can help me.

I just got my free windows 10 update, but they said my Bluetooth devices are not compatible with 10 windows and will not work with update 10.

Any ideas what I need to do? Thank you in advance.

My machine is QOSMIO X 70-A-12W

I found the tips that you may need to uninstall the battery Toshiba BT of the system... also remove BT drivers in Device Manager (if possible)
After that, restart the laptop and clean the registry with CCleaner tool.

Restart again and install the battery Toshiba BT as well as the packet filter driver BT...
Filter for the BT driver package is necessarily part of BT software because most laptops use the WLan/BT combo card.

  • Bluetooth device paired without code OK - BUT when you want to use it, I'm wondering for a pairing code

I have a Bluetooth device that cannot get a pairing code. I carefully checked the three options of bluetooth connection and the 3rd works, i.e. one that allows the pair without using code.

So I pair without code - and Windows 7 allows me to do.

It is completely buggy and, moreover, I am not allowed to take control - I know exactly what device I want to use, I see in Bluetooth devices, but for "reasons of security MS" I'm not allowed to use it!

    Hello

Please don't be crazy on me, but I do not understand the relationships for Toshiba laptop. Are you sure that all the USB ports on your laptop running at 100%?

If Yes, all this has something to do with this external device, driver and settings. To be honest, the manufacturer must provide Vista compatible software. Do you think so?
