Bluetooth on Tecra A3-108 problem
Hi all
I have Toshiba Tecra A8-103, and even 3 years, everything works fine. Operating system is Windows Vista 32 bit.
Well, last week I have a problem with wireless / bluetooth switch.
When I tried to use Bluetooth or wireless and set the switch on the laptop, the message saying "The Manager Bluetooth stopped working" came on my screen.
When I went to: Control Panel-> administrative tools->-> Windows logs, event viewer
I got the following error:
"Application TosBtMng.exe, version 7.1.0.3, time stamp 0x4b84ce69, module LCWizard.dll, version 6.3.0.1, time stamp 0x4a0c0228, exception code 0xc0000005, offset error 0x000064db, 0xc78, failed failed start time 0x01cb06e234f12608 application process id."
Well, in the last days I read on the Internet that many people has the same problem, tried reinstalling the driver, then downloaded new drivers from Toshiba site, but the problem remains.
laptop is still just as security for 5 days, I called the service. They told me to make a backup of all the data to bring the laptop servise and leave it there. They format the hard drive and reinstall windows again. They have 30 days to try to fix it...
Well... I can't stay without laptop not 1 day, due to, all my tools software development on this laptop. And can't yet think about the waste of time, to reinstall all the software I have on computers again.
And... I would first try to fix myself.
Is there a solution?

The best way to know if it's a hardware problem or software/operating system is to restore the factory settings. If the recovery procedure doesn't fix it, it means a malfunction of the equipment.

In-service tries with Apacer memory running at 800 MHz, but Tecra has not identified 3 GB, just 2 GB :(
Service technician said that 800 MHz is too fast for this model.

The notebook chipset is not able to manage the 3 GB of RAM, and so the 3 GB of RAM are not recognized! It s any speed RAM is.I guess that the laptop uses an Intel 915 GM or similar and this chipset chipset manages max 2 GB of RAM.

Bluetooth error - Tecra M2 - ACPI device driver
I have a Tecra M2 with Bluetooth, which never worked. When you try to activate it returns the error "could not open bluetooth ACPI (tosrfec.sys) device driver.
By clicking new connection "device is not ready" is the error message.
Does anyone have ideas on this?

Have a Tecra A9. Recently, I have improved the battery Bluetooth on the computer to the version on the driver download page.
The Bluetooth works on the system as planned.
Since then, every time that the computer starts windows ask drivers for and 'unknown device', that I let him try to find them automatically without result. Finish the wizard and exit.

NB510-108 problem with wireless and lan controller

After some effort to install the drivers through ubuntu I have installed windows 7 starter edition back but now windows does not install the ethernet / wireless drivers realtek or atheros network device.
so I tried to install all the drivers wireless by http://toshiba-asia.com/sg/support/drivers/ but now when I try to run these drivers after loading them down windows 7 cannot install correctly, it says that there is a compatibility issue. I m wondering why you have the same problems of connection using WLan and LAN.
I mean its not really necessary to configure anything to get a connection to the local network works.

I have some problems with the external mouse on my tecra A2. The pointer seem to 'jump', sometimes across the screen, and it's pretty boring. Try disabling the touchpad through FN + F9. Did you try it with mouse just wireless? You can try it with the mouse that is connected with a cable?
Sometimes I have the same problem, but it happens if the batteries are empty or if the mouse signal receiver is placed on the wrong place.

Tecra M4 boot problem - missing or damaged ntoskernl

I have a Tecra M4 running Windows XP Tablet Edition, which fails to start due to "a missing or corrupt ntoskrnl.exe. According to the MS website I can solve it using the installation disc, but I don't have one that I bought the laptop from my employer when I retired. I was told that my installation is legal and have the license number.
I tried to get a Toshiba drive, but it seems that the machine is too old.
Anyone know where I can get a drive to. If it is not possible to find the same version of the operating system can I can use an installation disk XP Pro standard (I could buy on the Internet), even though my system is the tablet edition. I don't want to take the risk to wipe my data, because even though I have most of the stuff saved there are has some important issues that are not.

Yes, that is a known issue regarding the ntoskrnl file and you need a Microsoft Windows disk to fix this problem in the repair console.
Are familiar you with Windows repair console? I ask this question because you need to use the DOS command line based to solve this problem, there are GUI. If so ask a friend if they have such a drive and normally the professional XP disk should also work.
Otherwise, you will have to reinstall the whole system :(

It was very difficult to find the SD host controller, but I finally found it:

So, if anyone has an idea...

If your laptop is all new contact Service partner and they can check what is the problem with your monitor. Normally avoid any strike.

I can't get any sound on my tecra m2 at the present time. Its been like that for a few days. The volume is not cut or something like that and I can not see what is the problem, can anyone help?

My Tecra M4 battery appears to discharge on his tours off the coast. If I charge it to 100%, then unplug it and don't use it for about a week when I come to turn it on it used and I need to connect to the mains. When he dose get Windows reports 0%. It seems to lose about 15-20% per day of power turns off.
Anyone know if this is normal for this model of if there is probably a problem that I have to look at the dose.

My Tecra M1 is now one year old had no problem until recently! When starting now and as it goes through startup sequecnce manifests a message box with the following:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC. NT. The file system is not for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Chose to 'Close' to terminate the application.
There are two boxes Close and ignore.
The message is showing during the last weeks without apparent reason. Someone can explain why this is happening now and can it be corrected in a simple way?

This means that you will need to swap the motherboard because the graphics card is fixed on it. Motherboard is a party quite expensive and Tecra S1 is old notebook then maybe you can get a second hand or laptop motherboard on eBay and swap it out.
