  • Bluetooth, disappeared after Windows 7 install (T500)

I just installed Windows 7 on my T500 and after installing almost all Lenovo Windows 7 drivers and software, I stumbled upon a roadblock with the Bluetooth software. When I run it, it tells me that I don't have bluetooth on my laptop (I do).

I run the v4.0.1.100.1124 file that I downloaded from the Lenovo site. He says it's for Windows 7. When you run it, it says it's installing '6.2.0.9600' so-called 'Thinkpad Bluetooth and enhanced data rate software '. It starts then stops by saying that I have no Bluetooth device.

I don't know if it's related, but my device manager says I'm missing "PCI Serial Port" and "PCI controller of Communications Simple." I don't know if that is related.

Can someone help me find my bluetooth?

    Thank you!!!

    * SOLVED *.

I solved my problem. It's stupid, but I am posting here in case someone else gets through all the transitions in Windows 7 and ends up stuck on this one.

You need to manually activate the Bluetooth adapter with Fn-5 first. Then you can install the Lenovo Bluetooth driver.

  • Bluetooth on T500 and Win7-64 bit... How can it be difficult? !!

    Hello

I have read several posts on this subject, but none of them solved my problem.

    I have a T500 2055-RH2, with windows 7 64 bit.

I just bought a mouse bluetooth online and imagine how I feel after 3 hours of debugging-no need to install a mouse. In fact, my problem is more basic, I don't have bluetooth.

I tried to install: Bluetooth with Enhanced Data rate software II for Windows 7, Vista - ThinkPad

When I install it, it says finally that I have no bluetooth device, so somehow my bluetooth adapter is NOT enabled. Then I tried Fn + F5 to turn it on, but it is useless, because I do not see my WIFI inside, no trace of bluetooth...

On the forum, I tried to install: ThinkPad Power Management driver for Windows 7

I think it was already installed, but I installed it anyway, still no change, no provision of the Fn + F5, still nothing.

I then even installed a driver WIDCOMM (broadcom), but then again, he says that he cannot find any bluetooth device.

Is there an error that I don't know? Should I reinstall anything? What the HELL is wrong? How hard is it supposed to be to install such a base as bluetooth function? !

Should I just throw the laptop out the window? Because I really want... (arg!)

    Help please...!

    Thank you...

    Uh, no, I don't. I'm sorry.

The good news is that it may be possible to install it, but that would probably blow your warranty by the window, however there are also some beautiful small usb dongles of BT on the market, I think that Targus offer a.

  • Activate Bluetooth on Lenovo T400 or T500?

I have a laptop of Lenovo T500 (2242) on which I clean installed Windows 8 Pro. It has bluetooth inside hardware, and worked well in Vista and Windows 7, although I needed software "Logins" Lenovo to turn on the bluetooth radio. And by that I mean actually turn it on so that the operating system could see it and use it. If she had died through dial-up connections (more precisely, the FNF5 utility included), then the operating system nor the rest of the su same logins that the card was present. There is no specific hardware for this switch. There is a switch to turn on/off, I keep in the position "on" at any time WiFi.

Now in Windows 8, I can't turn on the Bluetooth card. It is enabled in the BIOS. I see the Bluetooth light turns on during the portion of the BIOS to boot, but as soon as Windows starts, the indicator turns off, and Windows doesn't seem to know that the card is present. I installed the following driver or software modules in my attempts to solve this problem:
    1. Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate software II for Windows 7 (32 bit, 64 bit), Vista (32-bit, 64-bit) - ThinkPad (in fact it has not installed; WIN8 warned it is incompatible and directed me to the site of Broadcom; (See #4).
    2. ThinkVantage Access Connections for Windows 7 (32 bit, 64 bit) - laptops (installs, but there's no help - the software runs, but doesn't say anything on bluetooth technology)
    3. Integration of features Hotkey for Windows 8 (32-bit, 64-bit), 7 (32 bit, 64 bit), Vista (32 bit, 64 bit), XP (32-bit, 64-bit) and 2000 - ThinkPad (installs, but keys such as Fn + F5 don't produce any action at all).
    4. Broadcom bluetooth drivers Installer Package. The Setup program tries to find a bluetooth device installed. It fails. Apparently because the card is not activated!
None helped at all. There is no evidence that the Bluetooth card is installed.
In other forums, I saw advice to activate the Bluetooth card in the Win8-style control panel 'PC to change the settings. It is not there; See this image for confirmation.
Can someone help me get this stupid operational bluetooth? I have included "T400" in the title because the T400 and T500 were essentially the same computer - just has a larger size of the screen and the frame to the other.
    Thank you for your consideration.

    Hello

Lenovo released Hotkey features integration on April 30, 2013. I installed, but it did not help in my case.
I manually browsed to the extraction folder (in my case C:\DRIVERS\HOTKEY\OSD\F5-8M) and found the file "TpFnF5.exe". It does exactly what I need - manages all radios. I guess that Windows 8 has taken control of Fn + F5, which initially should launch this application.
    It will be useful.
PS: C:\DRIVERS\HOTKEY\OSD\F5 is a similar application, but without 'Airplane Mode' switch.

  • T500: Add bluetooth

I have a thinkpad t500 2081CTO, of course, without bluetooth.

Last month, I bought a bluetooth usb dongle, but last week I started to think if this is posible buy original lenovo bluetooth module and add it, as from the factory.

Anyone have some ideas about this?

    Takedown,

This question has come up before in other threads.  Basically, the bluetooth for the T500 is located behind the LCD Panel.  All the pieces on the LCD screen are not replaceable by customers.

So if you order your system without bluetooth, the best route is a device (as you already have).  Have an authorized repair center install this part would be costly.

  • T500 Intel Graphics Anomalies with a side of BlueTooth

    Greetings,

I have my system set up to use the graphics card Intel integrated (internal value in the bios to save energy) and I following graphics problems.  I use the latest version of bios and driver of Lenovo, display provided by ThinkVantage System Update.  Details of the pilots are in below directx Diagnostics.  I tried to install the latest Intel graphics driver of site Web of Intel for this chipset, but it says my system is not supported (maybe something to do with ATI Hybrid graphics card).

This does not work in OpenSUSE 11.2 (even with the Gnome 3D desktop), but it does in Windows x 64 with Aero.  It occurs usually after watching the SlingBox or an instant view of NetFlix, but it occurred in the past without these activities.

It did not appear when using the ATI graphics card (dedicated in bios set), at least of the limited amount that I did use.

    Model: 20828zu

Diagnosis of DirectX (full system / card driver):

    Screenshots of the problem:

    http://home.Comcast.NET/~quako33/images/gpu_problem1.PNG

    http://home.Comcast.NET/~quako33/images/gpu_problem3.PNG

Any ideas on how to solve this problem without having to switch to the ATI graphics card will be appreciated.

Finally... the question bluetooth... sequences of keys to turn off only the bluetooth?  When I hit fn + f5, it disables the wifi and bluetooth.  A way to disable in OpenSUSE 11.2 Gnome (as I can in Windows) would achieve the same goal.

    Thank you

This is a bug in the drivers. If you have 2 + 1 or 2 + 4 GB memory RAM, what will happen. Have you tried to disable Aero? This could help. What I understand the only way to solve this problem is to buy another 2 GB module (2 + 2 GB), or wait that a new graphics driver is released.

    What about the Bluetooth.

Make sure you have installed Lenovo Hotkey (if you've run Lenovo system update you probably installed).

Navigate to "C:\Program Files\Lenovo\HOTKEY" and open "TpFnF5.exe" and click on the 'Fn + F5 settings' button.

I confess that I have really not had you the Fn + F5 problems in Windows or OpenSUSE, but the behavior of Fn + F5 on Ubuntu 9.10 is:

Toggle WIFI/BT/OFF (Fn + F5 press once: Wlan BT off / press and second time: BT off, Wlan marche/troisieme time: BT on off Wlan / press and once: BT and WiFi on)

If this is of any help to you.

  • T500 Software Factory

Hi all: I just got a batch of T500s and they are equipped with the Bluetooth software (XP Pro is the operating system). Is there anyway to remove the icon on the desktop, with the uninstallation of the software? I have a boss who is willing to throw the laptop if he can get this icon on his desk (he maintains a clean office), as it is one of the first patterns that are a priority to fix.

    Thank you

    Attitude

I guess you cannot delete this icon or move it, right?

It's actually quite simple, although far from clear - run a Desktop Cleanup Wizard (I don't remember where it was) and there you can check bluetooth icon.

  • T440s lost Bluetooth after having installed the latest updated via the Lenovo system update

Hi everyone, my setup - Windows 8.1, Intel Dual Band Wireless AC 7260 with Bluetooth built-in.

After the installation of the last packet of Intel's Bluetooth (via the Lenovo system update), I lost Bluetooth constantly.

-J' I tried to uninstall the update of the driver, nothing has changed.

-J' tried to restore through Windows Restore Point (I did a fresh restore point before you install these updates,) without success...

    I noticed that:

-When this happened, the fingerprint reader to are featured strange - there is no if light (with green light) initially, Windows, and Windows was asking me a password instead of the fingerprint.

-In the Device Manager. Bluetooth category disappeared (I was there before the upgrade - for sure.). but I saw a new unrecognized device whose name ends with something like "(de l'énumération n'a pas pu) '-this could probably be the Bluetooth card."

-L' tray for Bluetooth icon disappeared.

-The Bluetooth system option submenu and its devices in the Windows settings disappeared (and it was here before).

-Looking for Bluetooth in Windows 8.1 returned property (with Win + W hotkey) framework "set up Bluetooth devices" or similar, but when I clicked it, it couldn't access this option - just took me to the main configuration screen.

I had to do a restore of the system using Linux (thankfully made a full HD image backup of the HDD and SSD using Clonezilla readers - that was the only way to fix this-instead of complete reinstallation of Windows).

The only driver that works for me is the Intel version 3.1.1307.364 issued on August 1, 2013.

    -Anyone else had similar problems?

Apart from this, the Bluetooth disconnects always happen: see http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/T400-T500-and-newer-T-series/T440s-major-WiFi-and-Bluetooth-instability/...

Can someone give me some advice please?

    I need help with this.

I found a solution to this problem.

Apparently, installing bluetooth driver through update system does not install it properly.

So I downloaded the latest driver of Lenovo driver download page, and instead run autorun.exe, I sailed to 64-bit dir and then run the installation program.

    Everything works fine now.

  • Dilemma affects of T500 2242 ENTER/TAB

    Hello everyone,

I have a user in our Marketing Department that uses a T500 2242 with a mini docking station with a very particular problem with their laptop.

Whenever the user will connect - (Windows XP Pro SP3) (joined to a domain, run Win Server 2 k 3) (32-bit platforms) must reboot several times before getting the answer to her enter or tab and the key that decides to faint is random, but eventually became the two.

Is there Lenovo hotkeys that trigger this or something?  Even when connecting her keyboard USB wireless mouse, it has these questions, about the third party keyboard and mouse!

There is something a miss here.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.  Thank you all!

    Hello

I saw a similar situation with a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard, which could not properly connect to the system.

The fix was to restart BIOS (load defaults) and in one case also BIOS udate.

Press Enter and TAB, it could be something strange. If you have time to test it, then try to start mode (press F6 on the system) and check if also here is the same situation.
If this isn't the case, then there is another application of blocking, or from my own experience I can say that this could be an application, loading and 'run' in a timeout error.

Then surelly also check that everything is set up for the start.

    See you soon

  • Win 7 x 64: No. WWAN after the resumption of the mode standby and Bluetooth turned off

    Hey guys,.

I had this problem for a few weeks 1-2, after the exit of the mode ensures my WWAN - the Sony Ericsson 3507g - modem is invisible and my Bluetooth is disabled.

WWAN: the light is off, there is no switch on the screen Fn + F5 and power off/on with the hardware switch does nothing either, after a reboot, that everything is back to normal again until you go back to sleep. A few days ago he suddenly perfectly well but when I had to restart, the problem is back.

Bluetooth: the adapter is always disabled after sleep and sometimes after a reboot, I can not find a model to know when this happens exactly... but I have since my WWAN modem is upward I can't help but wonder if it has the same cause...

I already did a complete new installation of Windows 7 Home Premium x 64 today and I'm under the latest Vista drivers, because those who do not work with the Ericsson Wireless Manager Windows 7, they ran flawlessly for a few weeks, so that they should not be the problem...

BOT of the above issues is dealbreakers for me because I'm using WWAN all the time and I use a Bluetooth mouse... then... Please help me ;-)

    Thank you in advance,

    Stefan

I think I found the culprit: the last time I had this problem I didn't know what was the reason.

After that the above post I got it works fine until recently it suddenly reappeared without having done me anything (Finally, I've done something, but I couldn't understand that).

I installed a few games, but nothing about the wwan adapter.

I also had the same problem to launch a vanilla Ubuntu 9.10 x 64.

Finally it dawned on me that, just as the problem the first time, I had also installed Ubuntu. I think that something about the way that Ubuntu handles the umts modem makes it behave this way.

This time (since I seen Ubuntu as the reason yet and I couldn't understand anything more), I opened the Thinkpad and looked for clues as to why this was happening - loose cables and all that - but nothing was wrong. I also disconnected the small backup battery for a few minutes to reset all the BIOS (except the part that is not volatile of course) - who probably had the same effect as turn off/turn on the modem I/O on-screen that solved the problem last time.

Then, I rebooted, entered the BIOS, responsible for the default installation with F9 and it suited my needs. Since then he has worked flawlessly again...

I'm not sure that Ubuntu bad, but it's the only logical explanation, and I think that's the reason why some mistreatment of the modem which required a "reset" on the base material, it is why a complete reinstallation of Windows did not do one thing...

For now, I can just advise all users T500 WWAN to avoid Linux - Ubuntu, especially - at least until understand you what causes the strange behavior.

Just my 50 ct other people with the same problem so some ideas on how to solve this problem.

  • T500 problems with system since the update system

Hey guys, I hope you can help me sort my problem:

Yesterday I did an update on my T500 system... after that I wanted to play a little GTA IV... usually I play on the graphic medium with about 28-30 FPS... after the update yesterday, I had 12 FPS...

result of the update was a new power manager... new... new logins drivers Bluetooth... AND a new Module update for Vista

Anyone of you have any ideas on WHY my system is suddenly so slow?

I thought that maybe a Virus was on the right track... but then I installed my Antivir Premium and he did not find anything from now on...

Well, I'm looking forward to your suggestions and I appreciate your efforts to help me; D

    Greetings

    Hi Robert,.

I think you should both try to turn it off or put it to maximum performance.

If the won´t of the situation changes, the last procedure would be a restoration of the system to a previous state of vista.

    If it s a vista update problem, google search gives some tips for updates vista and ati performance;

  • Specifications for the T500 2055 (NK145UK) or 2055 (NK13AUK)

    Hello

Very impressed with the battery wire. I hope that my question is not too specific.

I'm looking for the official specification for these models T500. It seems that they are not the latest model (part number starts "NK" instead of "NJ"), or more recent specifications, but I thought I could upgrade the memory and the hard drive later.

Is that what I should watch?

    • T500 2055 (NK145UK) - T9400 (2.53 GHz) - 2 GB - 160 GB 7 200-6 cells? -Turbo memory? No bluetooth? No camera?

    I'm still none the wiser.

You ask me to reveal my secrets?

It's simple; I just substituted for the United Kingdom with GE and happened to glance through this site. When you click on details of the TP with the correct order number, you are presented with a sheet of spec, including the MTM number which is the same for all European countries. The last two letters of the order number change; UK = UK, GE is Germany, FR = France etc etc.

    As I have said; easy

  • Bluetooth and the bios

    Greetings,

It's very embarrassing, but I can't seem to find the option to enable / disable bluetooth in the bios again.  When I arrived at my Thinkpad T500, it has been activated permanently under Linux and I could not turn off without turning off WiFi as well, so I disabled it in the bios.

But now I can't find the setting to reactivate it now that I own a bluetooth travel mouse.  I dug through each submenu, but this is a no go.  Can someone tell me where the option to enable / disable the blue tooth is in the bios of the main bios screen?

    Thank you

Ahh, found it again at last.

  • Help! No active Bluetooth and does not as it is accessible to all...

I'm totally confused, I bought a T500 not so long ago, but I can't bring up the control panel bluetooth at all!   My laptop spec says on the order form:

62P 6054 VBB INTEGR. BLUETOOTH PAN

It's a 64 bit version of Windows 7... and nada.  When I click on the Start button and type bluetooth, blue Bluetooth control panel happens but it absolutely nothing happens when I click it.  I tried to do a right click on it and it works like an administrator but no dice.

Any ideas?  Thanks in advance a ton!
