  Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. You will have to perhaps restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

  Then perform the following steps:

  1. Click the menu button

     

     then select Options Preferences on Mac or Linux, or Windows.

  2. In the window of Firefox Options (or preferences), click on the Advanced tab, and then select general.
  3. You will find in the list of parameters, the checkbox use hardware acceleration when available . Clear this check box.
  4. Now restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

  Would I be able to upgrade to windows 7 without any problem and safely?

  Could you please help me with the questions above?

  You understand that you will not be able to upgrade Windows XP to Windows 7?  He will have to do a clean install.

  Everyone who is angry with the new update (missing Key Lock, lack of contacts, etc.) please say it here.  Maybe if we get enough people to join on a post, they're going to do something.  I did have to use a password to lock my device actually.  Most of the phones on the market today have a simple way of locking keys.  In addition, the new software seems to run slow and slow.
