  Try troubleshooting with a clean boot on this issue to see if we can identify a program or driver causing the problem you are experiencing.

• Satellite A100 troubled Rail Simulator game loading EA

  I have a problem loading Rail Simulator of EA on my Satellite A100.

  In my first attempt, I got the message of free space, so set on removing unused programs and pictures on a CD burning.
  Soon released about 6.5 GB.
  Tried again, as much as to enter the key number and pressing return it just hangs. After about 20 seconds, the drive will stop. It's her!

  Lent the game to a friend with a vista PC and it runs very well.
  My player works for burning CDs, and I have loaded other programs using the player, just like a check. Everything is OK.

  Maybe this will solve the problem:

  1. go to start > run
  2. type regedit and press enter
  3. go to entVersion entVersion\Uninstall\
  4. in the last folder to UNINSTALL, you will find the key (folder): {0824EE6D-137F-4B83-9628-8E7B000BEBA6}
  5. this key should be removed. Then choose the key (blue mark) and press DELETE
  6. in addition to delete this folder: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\Electronic Arts\Rail Simulator

• Battlefield II works lumpy on my Qosmio F10

  My question to EA:

  I have a Toshiba Qosmio F10-136 with a Nvidia Geoforce FX Go5700 128 MB graphics card but am knows the lumpy graphics, stall during the game Battlefield 2.

  The drivers are up to date that Toshiba and those embedded in the disc does not support the Go series.

  How can I get the game to run smoothly?

  I just bought this machine with the intention to downgrade the OS. I go out and buy a USB 32 GB USB and made a "one click" backup first, with windows "Enable the administrator account" as the only existing user.

  Then I did a Win 7 Pro 64-bit install. Very few worked because there was almost no drivers that I did a restore of the one click, which went perfectly well and I use 8 the last several days.   Qtcore4.dll belongs to EADM (Electronic Arts Download Manager) and should be in c:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EADM directory (for 32-bit systems). If it is not there you will need to reinstall EADM (Electronic Arts Download Manager).

• Message "General Extraction error location ARE 1"

  I have the means to go to the Bowling game and was able to play until a few days ago, I got the error "General Extraction location ARE 1" and I can't get in the game.  I looked online to see what this error is and he can't find where.  I contacted Pogo, where I had the game and Oberon Media, the creators of the game and can help find a solution to my problem.  The only thing I've done to my computer, it's do all the updates of Java, windows and McAfee (my virus program).  I have windows XP.  Any help would be appreciated.

  Thanks a lot for your answer.  I deleted all records of three in the C drive and not seen any sign of the game in my computer so I re-installed.  The re - install put the shortcut on my desktop, so I tried to go in there and got the same 'general Extraction error location ES 1' and the game will not load.  Went through the start menu and tried and received the same message.  I returned to my computer > lecteurC > program files > oberon media > way to go Bowling and open this folder.  The record was filled of records and other icons, so I started to search in folders.  There is an icon that says 'Way to go Bowling Application Electronic Arts' and when I clicked on that, load the game and I was able to play the game.  Because I didn't get into the game this way, whenever I play, I went back to this icon and click right and found the 'send to the office', so I did.  When I click on it on my desk, the game loads and I can play.  I deleted the shortcut that was created during installation and use the one I sent to the desktop and can play now.  Don't know what past or why, I'm so happy I can play this game.

• Conflict with emulation software detected

  I installed Windows Vista Ultimate (32 bit), I installed one of my games called Sim City societies and I get the error message - conflict with emulation software detected.   I don't know what kind of program could be causing it. About 3 weeks ago, I installed this Windows Vista and installed correctly. All my other games work fine, t is right with this one I get the error message.

• Schedule the Winzip files and 'compatibility' with Windows 7 - HELP!

  I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 from XP.  I have an online game (war hammer) with some friends and need to download a few files of curse.com to upgrade my interface in this game.  Under XP, things has worked well, but here's my problem with Windows 7.

  Everything by searching my directory of war hammer I found it under Program Files (x 86) vs my normal method on my desk or in the program file.  I keep Electronic Arts Warhammer Online - Age of Reckoning - Interface - Addons.

  From here, I have the head on the Curse.com website and save the files under this folder.  Then, I went to winzip and extract use them all in the game (war hammer).  When I tried to see the files in that folder, I was surprised to see 'nothing' listed!  I called a friend to walk me through the way he his under windows 7 and for some reason any, he has his records and mine are gone.  However, there is a button at the top that says: "compatibility files"?  If I click this button then all of my files show but for some reason any, that they cannot be played in the game to do what I need to do...

  Thoughts?

  Do you use mods for this game?
   
  There seems to be a DLL which is used only for debugging, and it should have been removed before the RTM version deployed, but it wasn't and it poses problems for some people. Quite why this causes problems for some people and not others is unknown.
   
  I would recommned you uniinstall and re - install the game.

• Sims 3 is VERY slow

  Hi, I just installed a game "The Sims 3" in my Windows Vista computer. However, it loads very slowly and may take up to 10 minutes sometimes. Sometimes it hangs for a long time while I play. Is that what I can do about it? Please help, thanks.

  You can contact the game publisher Electronic Arts is to solve this problem, because they will be well-equipped with the troubleshooting steps.

  To work around the problem, you can follow the steps below to update your graphics drivers on your computer and check for the issue.

  Alternatively, you can try to uninstall and reinstall the graphics drivers and see if it makes a difference. You must be logged on as administrator to perform these steps.

  1 open Device Manager by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, click on

  System and Maintenance and then click Device Manager. If you are prompted to enter

  an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide

  Confirmation.

  2. in Device Manager, locate the graphics card and then double-click the device name.

  3. click Driver tab, then click on set to update driver and follow the instructions.

  Now, try to follow the link provided to update a hardware driver that is not working properly and check the question below.

  1. open the screen resolution by clicking on the Start button, Control Panel, and then, under appearance and personalization, click on adjust the screen resolution.

  3. click on the Troubleshooting tab, and then click on change settings.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  4 move the hardware acceleration to min slider.

• Late development, stuttering, freezing in the gameplay on Sims3

  Why is my game lagging, stuttering and freeze when I play Sims 3? It used to be smooth. I have added custom content in the game, but some of them come from the manufacturer of game and the game is designed for adding content. I checked and ALL my drivers are up to date best choice.
