Boot Camp Assistant 3.0 for Windows XP

I need to install Windows XP on my Mac mini (compatible with Windows XP DVD early 2009) since it is the only OS that will run a specific software that I need. I have Snow Leopard disk but does not know how to access the wizard Boot Camp 3.0 (apparently the only one that works with Windows XP) on this subject. I am El Capitan 10.11.6 running and when I plug the drive, I have been informed that the Setup program no longer works. When I search "optional downloads" I can find no sign of Bootcamp 3.0. I would be grateful for all the useful tips for how to find 3.0 Boot Camp Assistant. Thank you.

Configure Windows XP Boot Camp is possible in 10.6.8 and earlier versions. If you wish, use a program like VirtualBox to run it in emulation.

  • El Capitan and Windows 10 Boot Camp Assistant

Hi, this is my first post so apologies if I've left out anything important. Let me know and I'll add the necessary details.

Fast, I have been using Windows for years and I wanted to get into Apple and finally last month made the leap. I have a brand new MacBook Pro with 16 GB of RAM El Capitan - 10.11.4 running. However, I am having a lot of problems with the creation and installation of 10 Windows using Boot Camp.

I had this work with Windows 10 times but made some fundamental mistakes. I resized the partition windows using a windows product so that I could add another partition. This seemed to work and I used it for a short time BUT when I tried to boot into El Capitan would not and that it would only boot Windows. After reading on what I see now that resize the windows from windows under Boot Camp partition is a no-no. lesson learned!

To actually do things once again, I removed the windows partitions using disk utility. (Again I see now that it is an another no-no that I'd
used Boot Camp Assistant to remove Windows!) Eventually however, I managed to get to El Capitan, working on the single partition, it is now again works fine and as far as I can tell without any problem.

After having to go that if I went back to load 10 Windows using Boot Camp. All works until the final start in the section windows it:

    • Creates the separate windows partition
    • Load the ISO file
    • The Windows Support Tools downloads
    • Runs the ISO file and everything looks good... see below: (apologies for the poor quality of the screenshots)

Then, during 'Finish Up', I get an error window:

"Windows has no prepare the computer to start the next phase of the installation." To install Windows restart installation. »

I tried many things such as to download the Windows ISO file again, running SNC and LANDAU after removing the Windows partition using Boot Camp Assistant and ensure that all other connections to the MBP is deleted except WiFi and get always the same message. As the whole process takes a few hours and tried to work through this for some days now, I would really appreciate some advice/help here for this issue very frustrating sorted.

    Thanks in advance

I did Boot Camp with 8,1 this system successfully but the upgrade of Windows 10 dorked BootCamp upward when it is added to the system partition.  Has had a lot of work, but ultimately got all partitions disappeared and I tried Boot Camp and got it.  I erased the disc and then reinstalled El Capitan sweet factory without bringing more parameters.  Now, I still get the same error?

  • Boot Camp Assistant does not start the installer

    Hi all -

I'm trying to install Windows 8.1 or 10 Pro on my mid 2015 Macbook Pro. I made this countless times on before Mac computers, including my 2013 previous Macbook Pro without problem. However this laptop seems to have problems during the process. Or I do something wrong and don't understand how it works now.

I started Boot Camp Assistant, walking through the steps, divide the disk, etc. He began the restart process, then it restarted,... then I was back to my Mac. There was no indication that he was still something, but I let it sit for a few minutes. When I was confident it would do nothing, I decided to restart and hold down the 'Option' key on startup to select the Windows disk...

OK just thought of this, but I will continue to write this question: Boot Camp Assistant request now an ISO standard. I still remember having to do this from a USB or CD player. I hold down the 'Option' and select the DRIVE or a CD drive but since I do not have either, I can't select it. I thought it was a problem in which nothing appeared on the screen except Macintosh HD.

So I guess that the problem comes from my ISO file? I made them using the instructions from Apple of physical disks (Windows 7 and 8.1, but my laptop does not support 7). I will try to download Windows 10 Microsoft site, according to Apple.

Anyway, I looked in the disk utility and found that BOOTCAMP was created successfully. I used Boot Camp Assistant to delete the partition and to combine the disc again. I then tried the whole process, once again, but with the same results.

Still, I will try with a new ISO directly from Microsoft...

Thanks for any input in advance.

    -Tony

    1. 2015 macs do not use a cable USB or CD/DVD to install Windows.

2 creates a partition on the internal drive called OSXRESERVED and puts the content of the ISO and the drivers of BC on this 8 GB partition and boot from it.

  • Boot Camp Assistant not showing options

I want to uninstall Windows XP or just delete the bootcamp partition, but the page select the Boot Camp Assistant tasks offers only 3 choices of n/a:

    1. create a Windows 7 or later install drive

2 download the latest Windows support software

    3. install Windows 7 or later

Selection 3 does not include 'delete an existing partition to Windows' so check this and clicking on continue I get "installation disc is not found." Insert W - XP installation disc and clicking on continue evokes a 'create a Partition for Windows' and I see a partitioning scheme (but I am unable to adapt to it) and only one choice for "install".

My clone my old drive SSD did not save the partition? The scheme of partition in the previous step is proposed as opposed to real?

  • The Boot Camp Assistant problems

I'm trying to install 10 Windows on my MacBook Pro 13.3 2015 "running Mac OS X El Capitan (10.11.2) but I can't not (for software that is not supported by Mac OS X). I tried several times but it still says that my disk space is not enough (don't remember the exact words in the error message). I then opened the Boot Camp Assistant in the terminal and saw that it only recognizes that the reader would have 4 GB of free space available (I have a 500 GB SSD and 130 GB is used) but some insane amount about 140000000000000 GB has been used (what?). When I check in disk utility, I get also some suspicions that Boot Camp Assistant selects the Macintosh HD partition, instead the real player. In the Boot Camp Assistant, I can choose the size of the partition (I want let 370 GB for OS X in the Macintosh HD partition and get 128 GB for Boot Camp / partition Windows 10). I can't get this to work and I am grateful for any help!

Windows Installer can generate false messages on a disk space. Do you have any connected external storage when you try to install Windows?

  • Help! Boot Camp will not read my Windows 7 installation disc

I need to repartition the hard drive on my Mac for Windows to give more space. I thought it would be simple but not.

I am running OSX and using Boot Camp 4.0.1.  I made an image of my Windows side, saved the side Mac and was able to remove my original windows partition. Now, I'm trying to use create the new partition and install Windows 7 from the disc, I bought two or three years.  It does not create the partition because "the installation disc is not found." This drive worked perfectly the last time and was intact, sitting in its case, then there is no reason to be damaged. My player plays other discs.

I missed a step somewhere? Do I need a new disk of Windows? I don't know how to replace my drive. I think that I bought on Amazon.  The ISO-image-on-a-USB option is not available. I'm stuck!

If anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate it.  I bought my son a video game for his birthday which works only on Windows.  The thing is HUGE. It not was not in these games when I did the initial installation or I would have allocated a lot more space.  I had no idea!  He was eager to try this new game.

    Thank you

Did you delete the original Boot Camp partition through the Assistant Boot Camp in OS X?

    http://docs.info.Apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.5/en/15554.html

Do that first, then re-create it in OS X and follow the instructions to reinstall Windows 7:

  • resize boot camp partition, formatted and installed windows 7 - now cannot open in vmware fusion

Here are the steps that I took...

1 has started with the copy of Windows XP in the boot camp partition. "This is accessible from VMWare Fusion."

2 resized (from 6 GB to 18 GB) and formatted the boot camp partition.

3 successfully installed Windows 7 directly in the resized partition boot camp (not through VMWare Fusion).

    4. starts in OSX (latest version), open VMWare Fusion and attempted to access the partition to boot camp/vm. Received an error message charging me to disassemble and reassemble the physical disk changes. However, since I did it, he cannot find a bootable disc, therfore making it the useless bootcamp VM.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Paul

Note: These steps assume that you have a default Apple installation of Windows and a VMware Fusion Boot Camp Virtual Machine default partition and if you changed the Boot Camp partition the Virtual Machine to add additional hard disks to be virtual or RAW disk then do not use these instructions unless you backup the Boot Camp partition the Virtual Machine package first.

    1. If the merger is open, close it.

    2. in a Terminal (/ Applications/Utilities/Terminal) copy and paste command, as the following and then press Enter and it will remove the Boot Camp Virtual Machine meta-data partition. Note: This does not affect the Boot Camp partition to install Windows. Also make sure that you copy the entire command below "rm" line at the beginning of the ' (quote) after the p in the Camp. "

RM - dfr "/Users/$ the specified item was not found./Library/Application Support/VMware Fusion/Virtual Machines / Boot Camp."

    3. start Fusion (/ Applications/VMware Fusion) and select the Boot Camp partition on the library of the Virtual Machine window, and then click the run button.

Notes: Then, an authentication dialog box appears. "VMware Fusion requires that you type your password." Enter your name and password, and then click OK. (It is necessary to remove the Boot Camp for the merge partition to access it directly).

Then, we should see a Boot Camp partition message stating "VMware Fusion prepares your Boot Camp partition to run as a virtual machine. This may take a few minutes. This occurs once. »

When the virtual partition Boot Camp Machine starts for the first time after this VMware Tools may want or will install/update and restart the virtual partition Boot Camp Machine.

  • Boot camp do not restart in Windows install

Hello. I'm trying to install Windows 10 on my early 2015, 13 "Macbook Pro, El Capitan. Wizard boot camp through partitioning and rebooted, but it restarts in OS X and not in the installer of Windows. The ISO was downloaded directly from the Windows website without problem (Win10_1511_2_EnglishInternational_x64, 4, 46 GB of files). When holding down the option key when starting key only the Macintosh HD does, no view of the BOOTCAMP partition even if it is visible under storage.

My Macbook is the most expensive thing I own so I would avoid the bricking of her if possible, I would be grateful if someone could guide me through this. I desperately need Windows installed so everything just do not solve this is not an option. I've attached a screenshot of the partition under storage, although I don't know if that would be any help.

It seems, on the screenshots I've seen, the option to skip downloading the support software went to British Colombia 6.

I try to install Windows 10. I have the Windows ISO and I have already downloaded the file AppleBcUpdate.exe (the software file) other than Boot Camp because it is unusually slow.

How to combine ISO and the supported file in a working installation?

If it is a Mac of 2015, unfortunately, you cannot combine them. Your Mac also a pre-seed AppleBcUpdate.exe environment does not provide. The EP environment provides appropriate drivers to allow Windows Installer to run.

If you download too long, please use a wired connection, if possible.
