Satellite A10 - boot priority must be changed
Hello world
I have an old Satellite A10 here, and I'm supposed to put a new operating system on it.
Problem: He doesn't let me boot from the CD/DVD!
In the BIOS (APCI BIOS version = 1.30), I can not change the boot priority, which is I can not put the DVD drive as the first boot device.
By pressing F12 or 'C' when you turn on the laptop don't boot options not present either. In another thread, I read that you can change the boot device by selecting devices to boot images that can be seen under the TOSHIBA sign during the power supply of the laptop is just turned on. How do you do that? The TAB and arrow keys do not work for me...
There in the windows, the utility TOSHIBA HWSetup startmenu which is password protected. In the manual it says that you can change the priority of priming (from inside of windows!), but unfortunately the owner does not remember any password it have probably set, so I can't change the boot sequence for there either.
but in any case it must be possible to boot from the CD without access to windows, where windows no longer works...Is there yet another possibility to use a "connector wrapping parallel haven" seeing that I don't know how its done or used?
Who has ideas?

I can't reinstall clean my version of vista because my cd/dvd drive is not installed in my bios boot priority please can you help solve this problem
You added a new drive?
All the drivers are up to date?
Check the cables for loose connections.
Is it possible for you to do the following to reload the original Windows installation files?
Start > all programs
Select Samsung
Samsung Recovery Solution
Select "full restoration".
-or-
Restart Windows and the Samsung logo starts pressing F4 to access the recovery screen
This is a known problem in Samsung - see document - links products are not good
It is Support Center of Samsung - Re: HDD no detect does not issue
Click Troubleshoot utility (PS there is a pop up window)
http://www.Samsung.com/global/business/HDD/
Samsung also recommend OnTrack Disk Diagnostic. You can make a bootable floppy to advise data with this:
http://buyonline.Ontrack.com/ecom/fr...file=DC500.exe
And here is the other programs from Samsung. The creator of the Manager of disc is really of Ontrack and hosted by Samsung. It should work with any brand of hard drive.
http://www.Samsung.com/Products/Hard...file/Sutil.exe
http://www.Samsung.com/Products/Hard...Ile/SHDIAG.exe
http://www.Samsung.com/Products/Hard...il_creator.exe
http://www.Samsung.com/products/hard...DM_Creator.zip(Disk Manager link was not on the Samsung website with the exception of one who asked for the story of your life, but in trying different possibilities with links leading to other files, I finally found one that allowed a download without having to give everything and personal information.)

CD Rom Boot priority NO mean average? I woke up this morning and I got a message w / this black screen on it. He also says Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key.
Hello
Something happened to your BIOS or worse. Maybe old CMOS battery.
Enter / configuration settings (BIOS/CMOS) often F2 as you start - set the boot order to hard drive 1.
Don't be surprised if you need technical assistance in a real store of the computer (not the leeks and pics
at a Best Buy or other department stores) or system manufacturer support.I hope this helps.

I have Windows vista basic and I can not change the bios boot priority, affecting during startup. My hard drive is now in third place. First priority is CD-ROM, is second diskette and is third hard disk. It took time for him to start, and I think that it is the cause. Please tell me how to change the boot priority. Thank you.
Hi thunder02,
This link gives a good guide illustrated the boot priority: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/ss/bootorderchange.htm
There may be a slight variation in the screenshots according to the manufacturer of your BIOS, but basically, the procedure is much the same for all BIOS manufacturers. How can I set up the DVD player, the 1st boot priority?
I don't know hoe to set my PC startup to restart from the DVD player. I have a product recovery disk, but not to make my PC open system restore. Help, please.
I changed my system registry uxtheme.dll and this problem started occurring.Put the DVD in the drive and start it.
You may need to change a BIOS setting to make the first boot device, a DVD/CD player. To do this, when you turn on look for a configuration message indicating what key to start typing - F2 and del are commonly used. The message appears for very long and it you miss, you have to restart the computer.
In the BIOS, look for a section that contains the boot sequence, change to CD/DVD, save it and let the computer to restart. In addition, some pre-installed systems have another key (usually F12) that allows the user to open the start menu rather than change the BIOS boot sequence.

Re: Satellite A50 - how can I change the boot with BIOS password priority?
I have a Satellite A50. I need to restore to factory default to recover DVD, how do I boot from the DVD?
The default boot priority is the HARD drive and is more bootable has been formatted. My BIOS is password protected, how can I change the boot priority? After having inserted the password, its always boot from the HARD drive.
Thank you
The boot priority, that you can change in the BIOS.
Go into the BIOS with ESC, enter your password and then you can change it.
But don t forget to save the changes. That s all and then you can boot from the CD.

Cannot change the priority of boot CD-ROM - Y580
Recently bought the laptop Lenovo y580 which comes preinstalled with Windows 8. I can't boot from a cd or a flash drive as there is no place in the bios to change. In the boot priority that it lists only

How can I change this so that I can boot and install another operating system, any ideas?
In the bios menu turn off uefi and secure boot.

Giving priority to a CD in the boot of startup menu.
I have a Veriton X4620G and tries to set startup to load from a cd if I need to use a rescue disk.
At startup, I pressed F12 and given two options:
(1) (2) P3 Windows Boot Manager: HL - DT - DVDRAM - GHAZN
I don't see any mention of an option to change the start to load from a cd.
Does this mean that I do not have this option, or should I do something else to help?
Thank you.
to edit and save the boot priority list, you must enter the BIOS, not the start menu.
Press DELETE at startup and check the list of start-up, move the DVD in the first place, then save and exit.
In addition, you can use the start menu and choose (2) P3: HL - DT - DVDRAM - GHAZN, is your CD/DVD.

Qosmio E10-102 - cannot boot from CD/DVD
Hello
I have a laptop Qosmio E10-102 here. The hard drive is missing and I need to install the operating system on a new hard drive but I can't boot from CD/DVD. After the start of Qosmio screen, it shows "insert system disk in drive. Press any key when ready... ».
When I press F1, I get the 1.5 version of BIOS ACPI boot menu, but I can't change date, time and the password. The boot priority is HDD-> FDD-> CD and I can't change it. The manual says to hold F12 during initialization, but this has no effect. Even by pressing the 'c' key, the disc does not start.
I tried to put the hard drive in a laptop and install there, but detects the Windows installation disc, that's not Toshiba laptop.
No idea how to fix?
Hi Napto,
The CD/DVD drive is correctly listed in the BIOS? You see the model number of your player? Usually, this should be possible
And what installation disc, you are starting? You use Microsoft disc or Toshiba Recovery disk?
Maybe the current disc is scratched -
CL10-B-100 satellite - cannot boot from USB Live of Linux
I just bought a Satellite CL10-B-100 (PSKVEE - 00300CG 6) with only 8.1 Windows preinstalled. I need to boot from a linux live usb - without success now. No MSC instead of UEFI option available in BIOS. Secure boot disabled, USB set as first boot priority option. The latest version of the BIOS, I found online is the same as on the computer - 1.00
Any suggestions on how to start from USB Linux?
Good day
C.
Hello
Most modern distributions should be able to start using the UEFI.
However, you forgot to mention what distro you are using.I assume that your pressing F12 at startup to get the start menu, verify that your key is recognized and select to start him?
Which means that it fails? No not at all, start it begins to start but fall into problems... ?Please clarify the situation.
