BOOTMGR is missing. keyboard does not

First of all, my boot sequence is starting from the first DVD alreaey value.

When I start my computer, I get the message that my lack press Ctrl Alt Del to restart Boot. So, I put the my Win 8 DVD in for repair, but the computer does not recognize my usb keyboard and I can't press any key to boot from the DVD. I can't even in BIOS. I have motherboard Biostar G31 - M97 TE houzet. When I press a key, there is this ticking sound from the speaker to the motherboard!

What can I do? There is no OS on my computer because it's a new HARD drive. Even Ubuntu boot DVD does not work (even though I probably shouldn't say this here).

I do not underetand why is not the DVD starts automatically when the first on BIOS boot device is the DVD. I even tried with Win 7 DVD.

Thanks in advance

Hello Al,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

You did changes to the computer before this problem?

The problem can be caused by several factors, such as incorrect entries in BCD and hardware incompatible or software.

Based on the current situation, I suggest to try the following methods to resolve the problem.

Method 1: Repair to start the Windows recovery environment (WinRE).

Your system without not a CD/DVD drive, you can view the steps in method 4 in the following article:

Method 2: Use the Bootrec.exe tool in the Windows recovery environment to troubleshoot and repair startup issues in Windows.

Try to go in the system recovery options similarly as you did in method 1 and click command prompt.
Then, type the following commands and press ENTER after each command:

bcdedit/export C:\BCD_Backup
c:
Boot CD
BCD attrib s h - r
Ren c:\boot\bcd BCD.old
Bootrec /RebuildBcd

  • Key ESC Office keyboard does not work on desktop running Windows 7 Pro 64 x

    Key ESC Office keyboard does not work on desktop running Windows 7 Pro 64 x

    Now, it's a boring, which several other users have reported under different threads. Because I couldn't find a post with quite similar symptoms, I made my own topic.

    I am running Windows 7 Professional 64 x on an old one (Intel Quad-Core, 4 GB RAM, 524 GB HDD - in case, for reasons unknown to me, someone needs to know it...) , DellXPS system. Not more than a few weeks ago my home button keyboard unresponsive on this system.

    I did a lot of troubleshooting, but these measures have been carried out:
    * Tested keyboard on the other system, touch ESC WORKS on the other system
    * Reinstalled keyboard and USB drivers on the XPS system, ESC key does NOT WORK on the XPS system
    * Connected to a never-before-used USB keyboard, ESC key does NOT WORK on the XPS system
    * Opened and cleaned the keyboard, tested, Escape key WORKS, Don't DO NOT WORK on the XPS system
    * Tested in various applications: Desktop (Esc will close the start menu), Photoshop, Vegas, Notepad, games full screen OpenGL,Escape key does NOT WORK on the XPS system
    * Google for possible solutions, none found...

    Note: Highlights show where the ESC key does not work. I am troubled by the XPS system.

    In case you missed it my list of troubleshooting steps, the ESC key works on another computer of Windows 7 system.

    I have to still garble my self through the registry in the hope that someone might have an idea of the steps to follow before I lose a day to see the things that I honestly know squat. Please help if you can; What could be the issue/common application that separates this key in the Windows world and how could I solve this problem?

    Thank you in advance!

    For reference,.
    No major changes have been made since the keyboard unresponsive with the exception of:
    Updates to FireFox (including modules Ad-Block Plus, NoScript, which have also been updated).
    Windows Update
    A 10.x MB World of Warcraft patch/update on a keyboard AFTER week unresponsive

    Already installed the patches StarCraft II and World of Warcraft, which none touched my keyboard to my knowledge. I finished almost all of StarCraft II and had no problems...

    I know it's a bit old, but I was living the question myself.  Thought I had found the problem and it was fixed but then it happened again.  Came to find out (by closing a program and test the ESC key) it's because Photoshop.

    With the help of Photoshop, which could match the case you mention.  Not only that but I did a search ('ESC' does not not Photoshop) and stumbled on some answers/solutions workaround for it.  One is to use SHIFT + ESC ESC does not work.

    Hope this helps someone.  I fell it using my original research ("Windows 7" BSE "ESC" keyboard does not) and know that others are likely to see.  If you have not already learn the cause, in the year + since your original message, then voila.

  • Programmable keyboard does not not in the iOS 7 / 3.9 AIR

    Hello

    I've been transitioning my app to the latest beta version of 3.9 AIR for iOS 7, and I'm running a wild question. No text field trigger more the virtual keyboard. The cursor blinks, and if I select different textfields, the cursor moves there. But the software keyboard does not appear. Come to think of it, it's possible that I already had this behavior 3.8, which I had not been in for a long time for debugging reasons, so I never pulled in 3.8.

    Here's the condensed code regarding. First the text field is created, then it is enabled. But even with several fields of text on the screen, the keyboard does not look between them.

    Creation

    Label.enabled = true;
    label.autoCapitalize = AutoCapitalize.SENTENCE;
    label.softKeyboardType = SoftKeyboardType.DEFAULT;

    Activation

    label.setFocus ();
    label.needsSoftKeyboard = true;
    label.requestSoftKeyboard ();

    Y at - it something I am doing wrong that I'm missing maybe it's suddenly incompatible?

    Thank you

    It is really unfortunate that you see this. I tried a sample application using softkeyboard and stageText but could not able to reproduce the problem. I have attached the sample app https://www.dropbox.com/s/imyc6d21ofx12nj/Softkeyboard.zip for your reference, could you please try once and update if I missed something.

  • Keyboard does not not with IOS 10

    I just downloaded the IOS 10 today, and the keyboard does not appear. I can almost see below the iMessage space where you normally text; However, I can't access it. I can't access my keyboard in Contacts, Notes or any other applications. Help, please.

  • El Capitan keyboard does not not after reboot

    I have a Macbook Pro 13 inch with OS X El Capitan 10.11.6

    After one of the recent improvements, I met a problem, if I take my mac, the keyboard and the trackpad to respond enough lag (if I constantly try to move the cursor, he'll have a time and then for like half an hour it will completely stop responding and after this the other repeats). It only happens after reboot and only on the login screen. So if I put my mac to sleep and then wake up, everything will work perfectly. Same thing if I managed somehow to connect, once the keyboard and trackpad respond correctly. The only button that works fine after reboot is the power button, but it doesn't help much, because it charges does not solve the problem somehow: as soon as the user selection screen, keyboard and mouse stops responding again (or should I say "start answering from time to time").

    I saw lots of questions here on the keyboard does not not after waking up, but as you can see, this isn't my situation.

    Try again in Safe Mode.

    Start up all by holding down the SHIFT key. It takes five minutes longer because it is a disk first aid on the way up, and you MUST provide your user name and password, even if you normally the automatic connection.

    Hello

    Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most of the modules.

    (If you use it, switch to the default theme).

    • Under Windows, you can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac, you can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key option key when starting Firefox.
    • Under Linux, you can open Firefox 4.0 + with leaving Firefox then go to your Terminal and running Safe Mode: firefox-safe-mode (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)
    • Or open the Help menu and click on the restart with the disabled... modules menu item while Firefox is running.

    Once you get the pop-up, simply select "" boot mode safe. "

    If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. To do this, please follow article Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems .

    To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

    When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. It might help others who have the same problem.

    I hope this helps!
