Windows cannot find gpedit.msc?

HI Savan N,.

Happy New Year to you, I wanted to know why I can not ge in "Computer Configuration", when you type "gpedit.msc"
He gave you an error message "Windows cannot find gpedit.msc"

Another thing when I used "regedit" and navigate from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\WindowsNT\SystemRestore,.
to remove the Configuration value 'disable', will I double click to remove the value or right-click then delete?

Best wishes

japlim

gpedit.msc is located in windows\system32 and memory that it doesn't come with Vista Business they don't think Vista Home or Premium gpedit users need.

and on the deletion you simply right click and delete or just left click and use the keyboard not the BACKSPACE Delete key. Double click on the button simply you can edit the value contained by the key

  • Cannot find gpedit.msc in Windows 8

Hello. I did the following steps:
    Windows key + R
    Type "gpedit.msc".
    Press enter
I get a message that Windows can not find.
I have privileges to administrator and only one account on the computer.
I would like to know how to get to gpedit.msc so I can't disable the daily boredom "Reboot now or reboot later" I get constant windows updates.

I suspect that unless you have Windows Pro 8, then gpedit is not here - as it was not in Windows 7 Home Premium or Starter.

However, you can replicate with this information:

Windows will not open photos says windows cannot find the file (photos have been saved he previously said)

    Thank you

    Hello

I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing and will certainly help you in the right direction to solve the problem. However, I would be grateful if you could answer a few questions to refine the question in order to provide you with better assistance.

    1. Form when you try to open pictures? Is it in Photo Viewer?
    2. What type of files you are trying to open?
    3. You are able to open the photos in the Photos App?
    4. What is the brand and model of the computer?
    5. You did changes to the computer before this problem?

I suggest you to try the steps below and see if it helps you to solve the problem.

Method 1: Run the utility to search and index and check.

    a. press the Windows key + X and click on Control Panel.

    b. click on Troubleshooting.

    c. Select display all on the upper left corner.

    d. perform research and solving problems of indexing.

Method 2: Restart the Windows Search service and check.

    (a) press Windows + R key and type "services.msc" and press ENTER.

    (b) locate the Windows Search service and right-click on it.

    (c) click Properties and check that the start option has been activated.

Method 3: If the problem persists, I suggest you to run a full scan using the Microsoft Safety Scanner (MSS) to ensure that the computer is virus-free.

The Microsoft Safety Scanner free is a downloadable security tool that allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malicious software. It works with your current antivirus software.

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

I had the pop up ads sensation can cause the problem and talked about it to the engineer in computer science from my father. It installs Malewarebytes and there was indeed still a maleware by repair men left. The difference was, Chrome to view the full announcement page while Firefox may have in maintaining security to block this kind of page, and the result was the error message. • "Windows cannot find...". Error message (URL)... »

I created a shortcut on the desktop to go to:

    http://www.24hGold.com/English/gold_silver_prices_charts.aspx?money=AUSD & p = money

When I double click on the shortcut, the following message is displayed:

Windows cannot find 'http://www.24hgold.com/english/gold_silver_prices_charts.aspx?money=AUSD & p = money '. Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click search.

The problem is that Firefox start & then successfully on the site despite the message.

I discovered that THE MESSAGED IS DISPLAYED only if Firefox is NOT ALREADY running. If Firefox IS running, the error message not to POSTER NO.

It seems that there could be a problem with the length of Firefox on startup.

    Any other suggestions?

When I run Lenovo System Update (on my Pad T440s thinking), I now get an error message:

This folder contains now only two files, fwdphb06_version.exe and fwdphb06_2_.xml (see below).
