• Global change to date to convert to month only

  
  I try to group activities in a layout by month and was going to manually add the month of beginning to the UDF, but wonder if there is a formula I could use to run a global change to update this field as the schedule based on the start date changes.  I wonder if there is no way I could do it.  I know how to do it in excel, but don't want to export/import.

  Have you tried to change you grouping and sorting in the "Start Date" and replace the interval field 'months '. If I understand you correctly, it should do exactly what you want without any UDF

  Why not a newly created role of Global change (substrings) to change the activity ID work? Yet, I can copy a modifier of function (substrings) existing Global change to change the activity ID and it will work. The newly created is identical to that copied?

  Please upgrade to P6v7 and rename the activity ID problem will be fixed for life.
  You can rename 10 000 activities in 10 seconds using P6v7 without global change running.

  A single configuration change probably will not accomplish this.

  Your best bet is probably the freeware "Bulk Rename Utility" program which has a section dedicated to change the case of file names.

• Pop-up - DEP said he had stopped running... changed settings, but... help?

  I have a pop-up of DEP by saying that he had stopped running. I changed "Only turn on DEP for Windows programs and services" to "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select. Restarted the computer, and if far - 5 minutes later saw something problematic. Looks like it's ok now. But I need to know if I did the right thing...?  :-o  My computer is a Fujitsu-Siemens AMILO 3650; Processor: Intel (R) Core (TM) 2 Duo P7350 @ 2.00GHz CPU 2.00 GHz RAM: 4.00 GB running on: Vista 32 bit SP2.

  The problem might actually be an add-on or another program to the origin of the problem and you should check that
  1st.

  What antivirus/antispyware/security products do you have on the machine? Be one you have NEVER on it
  machines, including those that you have uninstalled (they leave leftovers behind which can cause strange problems).

  Start - all programs - Accessores - system tools - IE with no Addons - does this work better?

  IE - Tools - Internet Options - Advanced - tab click on restore, and then click Reset - apply / OK

  IE - Tools - Internet Options - Security - reset all Zones by default level - apply / OK

  If nothing else works you can try this however I would use as a last resort.

  IE - Tools - Internet Options - Advanced Options - Security Section - clear the check box enable memory Protection to mitigate
  Online - APPLY - OK attacks close and restart IE

• Changes in the adjustment brush settings cause global changes

  When I select the adjustment brush when I go to set a cursor basis he made global changes. If you ignore it and use the brush still works as expected.  Tried the repair option and restart but no change. Anyone had this happen? It just started this making unannounced.

• Can I record a value Object Variable Global change in a structure of the event?

  I have revealed a global variable to the user via a panel of sup, so that the user directly changes a global variable Panel.  This works very well for this application.

  However, I would like to respond to that in a structure of the event.

  I tried to register for the GV-> [command] Panel.  It seems to work, but the changes do not generate an event.

  I then tried to save the commands individually.  Also hosted in the code, it did not work at run time.

  Is this possible?  Any ideas on how to make it work?

  
  

• clicked "never allow" for a program to run. need to change this.

  I recently downloaded the steam 2 Team Fortress and when I went to run the program, a window pops up with the buttons "never allow, allow once, always allow". I have been followed and accidentally clicked on never leave out. now when I try to run team fortress2 it closes every time. How can I change I can let it run?

  Haha! I just fixed it. Apparently if you just keep trying to open it I just have a window that came and said "firefox has noticed your attempts to this program. You want to allow it? "And I was able to change the setting. Thank you for your interest in this question tho.

• 2 questions - run as administriator &amp; change in the size of the text

  I've developed software with CVI, could you please answer 2 questions?

  1. when I install on other computers, the text messages different looks (the police expanded) and in my computer, it seems. I think that happens when you choose to change the text size in windows thorugh: Panel-> apperance and customizations-> medium(125%)/large(150%) instead of hail (default 100%). Prevent the change in the size of the text in the panels?

  2. on other computers the software could not create a file for writing, unless a throw with the option "Run as administriator". Why?

  Depending on the size of the text is concerned, if you do not use one of the metafonts predefined for your labels and the text of the control, you shouldn't have this problem. The metafonts are designed to take on the characteristics (in size and style), the default settings of the computer where you run your program. Furthermore, by default, all new controls that you create using one of these metafonts, specifically NIDialogMetaFont, which is an alias for a variable size font which can become more or less important depending on the settings of the computer.

  To avoid this, you can change melting completely to something else (Arial, etc.), or you can even keep the same font, but make sure that you choose a different size that will result by it is not not the metafont predefined. For example, in my computer, if I use the point size 11, I use the metafont. But if I change the size of point to something else, then I don't want to, and that its size in points then remains the same in any computer.

• Running header to change chapter

  for a book, I have a few special requirements for running header.

  1. I would change the race header in a chapter (several times) to formulations that do not appear in the text. In windows Word one can set markers of text with another text with section breaks. They are applied by the user, and this text can be used for running header.  It moves along more text is typed in. Is there something similar in indesign6 (I use a main text block)?
  2. The first page of a chapter is supposed to not have a running header. I created another page master and applied to all pages with a beginning of this chapter. However, if text is added to the front section and the text block moves to a new page while missing header running isn't not moved as well as the title of the chapter (style section). Is there an alternative?

  Nonsense. I do it all the time by adding a non-printable frame with the correct text to the point where I want the header running to change.

• Globally change the size of several imported into InDesign PDF

  I just use a script to import a PDF of the page 1 299.  I would like to change the SIZE of all of the PDF files I imported.

  I have to go to each page (1 299) and change the size manually?

  It allows you to set the scale when you execute it, and it will be a heck of a lot faster just re-run the script to a file rather than go back and manually scale 1299 PDF pages. The other option would be to find a script that can find the already plced pages and scale them, but I don't know of one that is already available. You could ask for more in InDesign Scripting

• How to stop the counter global change of name of file form?

  I try to use a persistent global variable to advance a number of form whenever the form is opened.

  It works fine, but I want that he stop to advance once a user has registered the form as a different file name.

  It is not sensible. You must have another script somewhere which resets

  the field. Or if you have a formatted field that changes the value. You

  should have no formatting or validation on this field.

  Does anyone know how to change the global storage cache setting in Maxl? I can see it is no longer in the EE and I don't think I can change it to a MaxL. Any clue?

• Is it possible to run a search/change on all the steps within a sequence?

  Is it possible to apply a find/change to all the steps within a sequence.  For example, if you want all instances of '27_' to "59_", is it possible in TestStand 4.2.1?

  Have you tried hitting "Ctrl" + "F" on your keyboard?  This is what I use all the time and you can find/replace with it.
