• LAPTOP VERY HOT

  I bought a Compaq Presario laptop 10/01/2010.

  After using for a few I noticed it was really hot if used more than 20 minutes or more.

  Short version is that it seemed to be getting more hotter and hotter and that worried me as I boughgt it uses all rest my back, in a bed or sleep with the laptop on my abdomen.

  Opinions differ, but it seems that it is caused [or exacerbated] an abdominal problem, causing severe pain.

  I have now reduced that pain until the use of the laptop, even using it on a table.

  I managed to get a temperature of 40 c of the side wind right and under the computer within 20 minutes.

  I will have an ultrasound this afternoon so can learn more.

  It of a normal temperature or could there be something wrong with the phone?

  I have a netbook too and they do not warm in the same way.

  It is common for a laptop hot if you are resting it on your lap, because the air cannot escape and the fan is unable to work properly. • Satellite A300D - fan turns very hard and the laptop gets very hot

  I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction as what to do with the overheating problem that I currently have with my A300D. I had the laptop for less than a year, it is still under warranty but I don't know where to go or what to do to fix it.

  The problem: about two months ago, I noticed the fan turns very hard and also the laptop gets very hot. Now it runs so hot the laptop shuts down completely. The heat being driven out of the laptop is so hot! burn your my infact.

  Anyone has any advice they could offer me.

  The laptop needs to be cleaned every 3-4 months and I do this every 3 months. Whenever I do I m wondering how much dust out and after this procedure the portable is a lot cooler.

  465 GB Hitachi HTS725050A7E630 (SATA) 45 ° C

  Fan's TURBINE on 90 ° C!

  Why you want to use a different driver which is not Toshiba? You have problems?

  As Akuma said, always use the driver from Toshiba.

  On a laptop I find that every 6 months or if dust and lint accumulates and begins to cause a build up of heat.  I usually take a can of compressed gas and make jump through the ventilation ports on the side and bottom.

  Also if you have something that is constantly keep your processor busy, you should know what it is and see what you can do about it.  Do a CTRL-ALT-DEL and start the Task Manager.  Click on the processes tab, and then double click on the header of the CPU.  Click on the button below on the left that says: show processes from all users.

  Now all running tasks will be shown and sorted in order of CPU usage.  That will tell you what to eat at all cycles.

  Continuous fan activity high speed could well indicate that the dust blocks the heat sink. Try to blow through the exit gates to clear any dust or otherwise try to use a hose of household vacuum on the suction air grids.

  Your laptop will have a thermal trigger installed to cut the current if the temperature becomes too high to avoid any damage.

  Finally, make sure your laptop is enough space adjacent to the air intakes for the ventilation of air to enter.
