Bought LR 6 upgrade from Adobe. Serial number not valid.

I have installed on my Mac LR5. I just purchased the upgrade LR6 on Adobe.com and downloaded the installer. Adobe e-mail me S/N, which is also provided in my history of online downloads.

When I try to install LR6, Adobe Application Manager opens and ask S/N. I enter, but the following error: "we are unable to validate this serial number for Adobe Lightroom. Please contact Customer Support. I tried my serial number of the LR5 as well (in case where was what they were looking for), but received the same error message. The two S/Ns start with 1160.

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

You can try this option.

If you are on a mac, then go to this location path

1 - click Finder.

2 - click on Go

3 - Click on go to folder

Type 4 "/ private/etc" gone and press on enter

5. you will get a hosts file

6. open this file in Notepad

Check is there any file entry begins with 127.0.0.1 activate adobe com

Drag the hosts file of the etc on the desktop folder, and then open the hosts of the desktop file

Remove all the entries starting with 127.0.0

Now, save this file and then move this hosts file in the etc folder again and replace it with the old hosts file

and now try to reinstall the software.

the serial number will work.
