Box of mail/sms protection of blackBerry Smartphones

I did some research, some say that there is a third application for this. and others say this is not possible.

Basically, what I want is to put a password on my mail/sms box.

I wanne do that because, when someone wanne take a look at my BB didn't whant them check my emails/sms

I also know, you can hide the icoon... but if they know how a factory of BB (more knows not every day)... they just display it...

and the locking device does not work, because then people can just check the BB looks, not on the functions...

I had a Samsung in the past, it was easy enough and * beep * very convenient.

I would like to know, if there's an app for that?

or is he built this now or the near future?

  • Can someone help me please to find the number of sms sent from blackberry smartphones?

    Hi all

I'm new to the blackberry smartphone application development. My requirement is to manage the sms sent from a blackberry smartphone like finding the number of SMS messages sent, the destination not like that. I tried running messagelistener, sendlistener and outboundmessagelistener, but something did not work well. So can someone please help me to solve my problem?

FYI: 1. I've implemented outboundmessagelistener but couldn't find a way to add this port for listening to my request.

    2. I set up sendlistener and added to my application of the method SMS.addSendListener which does not also carry out my requriement.

So, please help me if you have an idea in these aspects.

    Thank you

Hi and welcome to the forums!

From the main screen on the Blackberry, go to options, security options, General settings.

Password as active place. You will then be able to set other options for the number of password attempts.

Timeout, security etc. Once escape you the device will ask you enter the new password and verify, then save.

  • Box of Message of glitch-slow blackBerry Smartphones and not show all Messages

My message Inbox is only show of Face Book and BB messenger and a missed call.  Call history his watch is not my E-mail SMS, MMS, or full. It also shows that about 3 days worth of information. It also takes a long time to load and once no info was present.

Even more strange, is when I receive a message from the folder gets its red icon.  But, when I click on it, nothing new in there.

It appreas that I consult only some info and not all the info in my 'Messages icon. My emails can be access by there respective folder. These file seems glitchy so.  When I click on them and see all messages sometimes always displays the unopened icon.

    Help, please.

    Thank you

I tried switching the default 4 themes on the device and still not go. Then I downloaded and installed a new theme and then switched back to my original them and that seems to do the trick.

  • E-mail address standard of blackBerry Smartphones

    Hello

I had a messaging problem on my BB Bold 9900. In addition, to my old email address, I created a new while keeping the old address active. In my system, I changed the standard e-mail address to the new. So far so good, when I write a new email my BB as the sender uses the new address. It's just different when I select a recipient from my contacts (which where before the new e-mail address). The question is why BB choose the old e-mail address as from address while it is supposed to use a new? I assume this has something to do with the contacts, but I can´t find a way to solve this problem.

    Thanks for helping me!

    Hi nobody123,

Welcome to the BlackBerry support community.

This feature works by design. When you send an email, the last address that you used for the e-mail to contact is selected by default. This article should provide more information. "What is the email a contact's default address when you compose a new message of electronic mail to the address book" http://bbry.lv/YXI05S

    I hope this helps.

  • Protected content blackBerry smartphones

BB9630 Tower... My phone is locked and the names and protected content say phone numbers. How to unlock or change the current protection status? HEEEELLLLPPPPP!

Great, you want to belittle me for assistance.

You asked how unlock you, then... Put your password correctly. If you don't want to ask this question, what did you want to ask? That is not condescending, it's a matter of trying to help understand what it is you're asking. If you have never set a password on the device, then why ask you how to unlock?

If you want to remove the protection of content, go to Options > Security > encryption (or according to your OS version, look at the Options > Security > General settings > Content Protection.)

In any case, to help you understand... you have no idea how many similar questions to the your I see displayed by people who are obviously trying to get into their little BlackBerry girlfriend/boyfriend, their spouses, fathers, ex-wife, etc..

So, it's a legitimate question for me to ask you if that's still your BlackBerry. Trust me, been there, done that.

  • Mail folder - Curve 9300 blackBerry smartphones

I have a BB Curve 9300 new after that the last of them broke, all the phone call logs, msgs txt, emails, even Earth notifications facebook in the same folder!

My previous phone message file (it looks like an envelope) has just held my emails! I want to put in place again, how can I do!

Something as simple as this has now lost 3 hours of my day, not resolved, and now I think moving to iPhone because BB is rubbish without real support!

    Can anyone help please?

    No, it shouldn't.

This is a change from the simple option. Open your main messages folder > press the Menu key > Options > Inbox settings (or Inbox management) and you will see options to check or uncheck messages you want in the main folder Messages, or place a check of your primary e-mail address for these messages only streams to their own folder. Even with SMS, they can transfer it to your main Messages application or to their own folder.

So, if you want you can open your Facebook app > Options > and disable the setting to enable integration with your Messages application.

  • E-mails from lack of blackBerry Smartphones

I have a Curve 8520 connected to. The server of the company (BIS) and I miss emails for more than 1 month so that I can see in my office with Microsoft Outlook 2007. Is it possible to let them see in my BlackBerry too? I tried to synchronize with the software of office but no way. Thanks for help.

It is not worth. With a BB, you must choose a single method to send your BB. If you use electronic mail OTA, the use of desktop software to reconcile, it is not available (at least it did not use to be... it's been quite some time that I need to). If you really need those emails on your BB, then simply send to yourself.

    Good luck!

  • SMS text new blackBerry Smartphones go directly into the address book

In my messages folder, when I select 'Compose SMS text' options are limited to the phone or Email and not my address book. I change all the settings, this just appeared out of the blue. Could someone here help?

I'm a bit confused by your statement, you can try and rephrase it please

In the meantime, try a battery Pull:
    1. remove the battery while the phone is turned on
    2. wait a few seconds before inserting it again
    3. wait for the long end of the boot process (takes a few minutes usually)

This clears most of the software problems that occur on the BlackBerry from time to time. You can also use Quickpull, a free application that simulates a battery pull without removing the battery: http://software.crackberry.com/product.asp?id=27660
A battery pull gets lost when using the applications memory and clears minor software errors that creep over time. The blackberry is running an operating system just like your PC is running windows and battery pull is the equivalent of a reboot / restart your computer.

  • Protect the blackBerry Smartphones unable to upgrade my BB.

I have an upgrade available to protect my BB, but it won't allow me to upgrade or even run from my phone, when I click on it it goes right back to my apps page. Can anyone help please?

Hmmm... which doesn't sound right does it your phone freeze. But that said, try to remove the BlackBerry Protect, restart your phone and try then put it back. You must now install the new version.

If it still does not work, even once, let me know and then I'll see if I can get further assistance.

  • Support for mail Yahoo POP3 of blackBerry Smartphones

I hope someone can help me.  I'm an American living in Guangzhou, China.  I currently have an iPhone 3 g, but the battery life terrible that makes me regret getting the phone in the first place.  I got exactly 4 months, and while its features are many, the battery life denies almost none of the features that made me buy in the first place.

I was in an electronic Mall the other day, here in China, and I was looking for BlackBerry.  I played with the BB 9000 and liked what I saw - the most important being the battery replaceable by the user.  After being in the store for what amounts to an hour, (my Chinese girlfriend have to interpret it for me) I was ready to buy the handset, but then said I'd need to buy a separate service which amounted to 58 rmb per month in order to get my Yahoo mail to work on the aircraft.  I just want the appliance for email.  I can use my iPhone for all the other stupid stuff I want to do if I need to.  I ONLY need access to my Yahoo email, send or receive - what is it.

The configuration of email for my iPhone was easy as pie.  I had the choice for external mail options, and I had only to insert my China Mobile SIM card in the device.  I do not pay any charge except the use of the card.  I just configured my pop3 information in the iPhone and I was off and running.  I love the iPhone, but the battery drain is ridiculous.  And I bought an external battery adapter that makes the whole package too big to use.

I'd appreciate any help you could provide.

I could have missed your question, but if with regard to the additional cost of data Plan BlackBerry, yes it's true.

Without the BlackBerry data Plan, you will get no e-mail feature.

    Good luck.

  • Fingerprints, scratches & protection film blackBerry smartphones

It is properly is going to sound really FAKE but anyway, I recently bought a BlackBerry Curve 8900. On this device, as all users know is a beautiful gloss black top and I found when using the device that this Gloss Black Finish is the collection of fingerprints, I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this and so how personally in front of her, I find myself constantly clean. Also with the fact that it is a new device, I know not unlike people who have used it for some time so the black stripes bright on time and time again if so how do you stop. One last thing, anyone of you use a screen to the small screen LCD protector because I am currently using the Film that came on the device, until I know if the stripes on the LCD screen of your first hand experience. I personally prefer to put a screen protect I think it ruins the device in some other way, but if you think it's necessary, then I'll use a.

    Thanks in advance

You need the Best Ever skin or Invisible Shield... protect the whole device.
