Bravo: Identification by ringtone

Can someone tell me how to enable identification by ringtone on a Bravo?

It is either well hidden, or am I a complete ditz.

Thank you

  • How to transfer ringtones to bluetoothed to the contacts list.

I just bought the Karma and when I bluetoothed my ringtones from my old phone some went to Karma ringtones and others went to the music but I can't get those music on the ringtone file so I can put them in my contacts. I love this phone, so far, I just hope that I can use my ringtones I already have.

    Hello Momof2Boyz,

how do I get those to be ringtonges it doesn't give me the option to send them to my contacts

You don't need to 'send' tone anywhere. It can be used as ringtones, regardless of which category they are in.

If they are in the music, they can be used as ringtones. If they are in the sounds, they can be used as ringtones.

"Ringtones" include music and sounds - both.

    To see this, press:

    Main menu >
    My stuff >
    Media Finder >
    Tones >
    Ringtones >

You will see that there are 3 categories of ringtones:

    (1) sound
    (2) music
    (3) voice note

Nothing in these 3 categories can be used as ringtones.

Applying the music/songs to a Contact:

    • First mark sure ringer ID are on - and your Contact is saved in the phone

    (1) your Contact must be registered in the phone (not only SIM) to use ringer ID. If you do not have a Contact saved in the phone, you will not see the option to set a ringtone for that Contact. You won't see any "Ringer ID" in the list of Options for a Contact.

    (2) make sure you have enabled, ringer ID by going to:

Main menu > settings > Audio > other settings > ringer ID > on

    • After your Contact is saved in the phone, and ringer IDs are enabled, you can follow these steps to apply a song in 'All songs' contact:

    Press:

    Main menu >
    Address book >
Highlight a Contact (do not select it, just highlight)
Options > Scroll to the bottom for...
    Change Contact >
    Identification by ringtone >
Press the central Menu button to select the ringer ID (button in the middle of the phone)
    Music >
    All songs >
Choose a ring/song for this Contact
Press the Menu central button to select
    Tap done

Otherwise, apply any song as ringtone for incoming calls, for all Contacts:

    Main menu >
    My stuff >
    Media Finder >
    Music >
    All songs >
    Highlight a song >
    Options >
    Apply as > ringtone

I did notice these have bigger file sizes for instance 424KB, and bit rate of 128kbps, how do I shorten these or can I?

The flow rate is low, the better the sound. You cannot change the speed of transmission of a song of the device, but you can download/transfer the song to your computer and compress it with 3rd party software - and then re-upload/transfer back to your phone. Is there a reason why you want a lower rate? You should have no trouble to use of larger Ko ringtones with your device. Are you?

    I hope this helps.

  • Problem setting ringer ID using the music

Hi, I copied the music from an sd card to phone.  When I go to assign a ringtone to a contact none of my music appears in the folder music only music that was already installed on the phone is there to choose.  I can play music in the music-only player.  Help, please.  Thanks Diva47

    Hello Diva 47,

If your songs are located in the music, try the following to see if they can be used as ringtones.

    Reach:

    Main menu >

    My stuff >

    Media Finder >

    Music >

    All songs >

Scroll the list of the songs in the list. Highlight a track you have transferred and then select:

Options > apply as > Ringtone

If "apply as" is not on the list under 'Options', and then your piece may exceed the authorized k (size) by ATT.

If "apply as" is on list under 'Options', follow the instructions below to set one as a ringtone ID:

    Main menu >

    Address book >

    (Highlight a Contact)

    Options >

    Change Contact >

    Identification by ringtone >

    Music >

    All songs >

    (Highlight a song)

    Options >

    Apply as >

    Ringtone

  • Ringtones

I recently updated my iPhone iOS 10 and then again 10.0.2 6Plus - but I encounter the same problem.

The ringtones that I attributed to specific contacts do not play, the phone only plays the default ringtone. All ringtones work when I press them, and if I put these default ringtones they also work.

I did have this problem before the update to ios 10.

I just bought a new 7plus of iPhone and have the same problem. I tried to install it as a new phone and also restore the backup and reset all settings, but have the same problem.

    Any advice?

  • Make a ringtone on new iTunes - Help!

I'm doing a song I recently bought into a ringtone for my iPhone 6 s, and each unique tutorial directs turn you into an AAC file, but with the new iTunes, when you right click on the song there no option to turn it into an AAC file. In fact, when I checked the file type of the song, its listed as a "purchased AAC audio file", then, what do you do for a song is already an AAC? Also, I chose a section of the song, which is less than thirty seconds, he saved and still even if he doesn't play that this article, still lists the song duration as full 6 min, not the new article 28 sec, so I even when I duplicate and turn it into a .m4r and do all the other steps , it will not transfer because it is too long.

    It's really frustrating! Help!

I do not use the new iTunes so I can't test anything.  You've always been able to convert AAC AAC; for example, when wanting a lower bitrate copy.

  • OS 10 removed ringtones

    Hello

I have an iphone 5 c that I've recently updated with os 10.  Now, I have no custom ringtones.  Where are they passing and how to bring them back? Thank you for your help

    Hello patrish1961,
Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I understand your message that you recently updated your iPhone 5 c to 10 iOS and you have no custom ringtones. I know how it is important for you to have your ringtones. If you have purchased ringtones from the iTunes Store, you can transfer your purchases to iTunes on your computer and sync ringtones on your iPhone. The following article will provide you with the steps to transfer your iTunes purchases:

Redownload or transfer of your iTunes Store purchases from an iPhone, iPad or iPod to a computer

Once you have transferred your iTunes purchases, follow the steps in this article to synchronize ringtones to your iPhone:

Sync your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with iTunes on your computer through a USB port

    Best regards.

  • Ringtone does not change.

Everyone comes to a point of putting a particular to a particular contact ringtone, when actually, this contact name, and the ringtone is all along with the default tone? This, for me started when I updated my iPhone 6 s more iOS 10...

The following steps can solve device erratic behavior assuming that it isn't really a hardware problem. They assume that all the content you want on the device in your lending library for the restoration. If not see recover your iTunes from your iPod or an iOS device first. I would also recommend you copy everything off of the camera, if you have not already.

    1. Backup device.
    2. Restoration as a new device.
    3. Restore the backup that you made earlier.

Use a backup encrypted if you want to keep passwords, wi - fi settings, history and health web data as appropriate.

I used the same approach when Siri has ceased to be able to call my contacts and none the less drastic reset would fix it.

Alternatively, you can drag up from the bottom of the screen and make sure that the control of "do not disturb" is disabled.

If those who are for the time off, go ahead and restart your phone and retest alerts. If the behaviour continues or if you encounter any problems, please reach out again and let the community know what other steps you have tried. The entire community is here to help.

    Hello, Tinkitk!

Thank you for joining the communities Support from Apple! It's a big question about the location of your ringtone purchased on your iPhone! See this link here, which goes to the iPhone manual and specifically shows where you can find your ringtones as well as how to modify for your value by default and for specific contacts: ringtones and vibration.
